That guy needs to go hibernate for the next 11 months!

I’m taking my baby on 4 wheels to Meridian to get her fixed today finally! Yay! She’ll be shiny and dent free just in time for some top-down riding.

My brother has been staying here since the weather got SO cold, and I’ve cooked more in the last month than I have the last year. Me Fab and I both have put on some serious weight too. It’s all good! The weather has been glorious so we can start walking.

    Y’all play nice! Love ya!

  2. msblondie says:

Morning gang! I am glad for the warmer weather, but the front changes gave me such a mirgrane last night. I didn’t think it was ever going to let me rest. And with all the rain chances this week should be a fun head week.

    everyone have a great day!

  3. Clucky says:

1315 Monday-in the ER with my big brother. Chest pain. Looks like atrial fibrillation. Prayers please!

    • Cardinallady says:

Oh clucky I just saw this. Dear Lord Jesus please be with clucky and her brother during this time. Give the doctors wisdom to help him and in the places the doctors aren’t sure please be the great physician that you are and touch him. In Jesus name amen

  4. Cardinallady says:

Looks like we are going to pay the piper for all this warm weather Thursday y’all review your tornado plans and stay safe

  5. parrotmom says:

Morning everyone. Tuesday already. Blues glad you made it home safely.
Clucky hope your brother is better. You all take care.

  6. msblondie says:

    morning gang!
hope everyone is having a good week so far.
Clucky I hope all is well with your brother.

  7. Clucky says:

They transferred him to Meridian yesterday. He’s having a stress test this morning, an echo and maybe even a heart cath before all this is over with. I’ll keep y’all posted.

  8. Airwolf says:

Afternoon folks. Beautiful day on my hill. I hope everybody’s having a great day.

  9. Cardinallady says:

Evening Howard y’all doing? I’m getting settled into the bed. Visited mom and dad after my board meeting tonight and if things go just right I’ll soon be off of this board looking forward to having Tuesdays free. My city meeting will soon change to Thursdays

Mom going to chiropractor tomorrow to get some eelief from her back pain

Clucky thanks for the update on your brother. Strange I was under covers lat week and tonight I’m about to raise the window

  10. Clucky says:

It’s almost 2am Wednesday morning and I can not get to sleep. There’s a man snoring in my ear (not wearing his CPAP-again!), and y’all it’s just HOT. It’s all I can do not to turn on the a/c.

  11. Molly says:

Mornin. C-Lady, I don’t know about Howard, but I’m doing fine. About to get over this cold/sinus mess. I got a little warm last night, too, but not quite to the point of turning on the A/C.
Hubby broke the news to Kiddo yesterday that she won’t be getting a new car to take to college in the fall. Her current ride can’t handle the trip to Tennessee, so she’ll be on foot for a year. Hate it for her, but a car just isn’t in the budget. She’ll be in a small town where there is really nowhere to go that’s further than walking distance anyway. I survived all 4 years on foot up there. She’ll be fine, but she’s mad now. Oh, well.

  12. msblondie says:

    morning gang!

Clucky what is it and getting them to wear their masks.. my hubby was like that as well last night. And I agree it was hot/humid last night.

    everyone have a great day

  13. GrammarGirl says:

I sweated at the gym today and LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! I will gladly take hot and humid over seeing my breath and wearing gloves and a hat to work out.
Meeting with a school counselor today to chart my daughter’s course of study for high school. I am so not ready for this. Wasn’t she just starting kindergarten yesterday? Sigh.

  14. Molly says:

I know how you feel, GG — I’ll be going with my daughter in May to register for college classes. Doesn’t seem possible!

  15. Molly says:

But, GG, I don’t understanding liking to sweat. I don’t like Mississippi heat and humidity, but I don’t particularly like to be cold, either. I need 80 degrees and low humidity. So…I’m happy with weather here for what? 6, 7 days a year?

  16. GrammarGirl says:

Ah, Molly, I guess I didn’t say that very well. My “gym” is very minimalist (read an un-air-conditioned, un-heated warehouse). It has been really, really cold in there the last couple of months, so I was really glad to see sweat for a change. I just don’t handle cold well at all, and the older I get, the worse I handle it. Yesterday’s workout was just a welcome change. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t say I “like” to sweat. But I will take heat over cold 100% of the time.

  17. Molly says:

Whew! I walked in the office to someone waiting to see me (not a scheduled appointment) and the phones ringing. I hope that’s not an indication of how the whole day is going to be. I need to spend a lot of quality time with the copier today. I have a ton of stuff to copy for a client and I’m the only one in the office today.

  18. msblondie says:

morning gang! Keep an eye to the sky today.

    everyone have a great day!

  19. parrotmom says:

Morning to everyone. Was a lively afternoon yesterday. I’m still smiling. Not looking forward to the storms coming through later today and pray that everyone is safe.

Molly I laughed out loud regarding your coo meant of nice weather 6, 7 days a year. So true.

  20. cardinallady says:

Molly, about the kid and the car … she will understand soon enough when it is her turn to earn the money to drive it, put gas in it, put tires on it etc etc.

Now I’ve got a tailfeather load of work to do today before this weather breaks in case I will be spending the day tomorrow taking storm damage photos. Reporters have got to be ahead of the game you know.

BUT I will be regularly checking the radar and giving updates. Yall do the same and stay safe.

  21. cardinallady says:

Alright, the show’s on. Storms crossing the river are not breaking apart They are getting worse. If northwest Mississippi is any indication. we are in for a night of it. yall stay safe.

  22. Molly says:

Mornin. Did everybody survive the storms last night? My corner of Rankin County wasn’t bad…lots of rain but I don’t think there was much more than that.

  23. msblondie says:

    Happy Friday!

It got nasty in Byram, lots of rain, lighting and thunder. But I slept great with it all (ok meds might have helped some). I didn’t notice any damage around the house this morning or any more limbs down.

Everyone have a great day! Girl Scout Cookies are here… yummy – can’t wait to get ours this weekend.

  24. cardinallady says:

Pecking in for a moment. Rain some wind a few trees down front porch gone none the worse for the wear.

okay, I can finally talk about this. Wednesday morning I hopped in my car and cranked it. Started to kick it into gear and looked out my passenger side window to see my favorite brown kitty hanging there. I’d left the windows cracked the night before and she tried to get in the car but couldn’t and in her struggle … well anyway … I buried her beside her brother

  25. Airwolf says:

Morning, it’s a beautiful day in my neighborhood! Well I got my cataract surgeries over with, and my vision is just great. I see things I haven’t seen in a long time.

We are going to celebrate Baby Darling’s birthday this afternoon. Today I s a beautiful day to celebrate!

    Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

  26. parrotmom says:

Happy Sunday to you all. Hope you have a wonderful day.

CLady that is so sad. I know it broke your heart.

Thats great AW so many have sang praises for this surgery.

  27. Clucky says:

Monday, 2/24. Last week, my brother was in the hospital with heart stuff. He’s here and will be indefinitely. It’s been good for all of us.

My car was totaled. Yes, the Miata. I’m sad.

Mr Fab has a granddaughter on the way! Papaw Tim. Heh.

  28. blues4you says:

  29. msblondie says:

It is Tuesday – Sorry missed ya’ll yesterday… but i was in bed with a stomach bug. Much better day though my abdomin (?) muscles are all sore from the over use of them.

Clucky OH NO! I am sorry about your car.
Hope your brother is doing better. If Mr Fab is going to be a Papaw, that means you going to be a MaMaw. It is great! :)

everyone have a great day! I got lots of catch up to do.

  30. Molly says:

Mornin. Looks like it has been quiet in here this week. Sorry about the car, Clucky! I know it was your pride and joy.
A client that I have worked closely with over the last 3 years has rented a condo on the beach in Panama City Beach in my name for the week after Kiddo’s graduation!! She recently inherited a house about 20 minutes from the beach that is now being renovated. A couple of months ago, she had offered us the use of the house for a week once renovations are complete. We talked about it being a graduation trip for Kiddo and a couple of friends. The house won’t quite be ready by then, so — without even telling me — she rented this condo for a full week for us to use. I was totally speechless. I was going to turn down the offer — it’s just too much! But, she said it is paid for and non-refundable so if we don’t go, it will sit empty. So….beach here we come!

  31. parrotmom says:

Morning all! Molly I will be more than happy to help chaperone these young ladies.

Molly glad you are feeling better today.

Blues hope all is well in no where land.

  32. cardinallady says:

Good Tuesday afternoon. Waiting on my boss to hand off a story to me to post up on our web site. Then I’m going to lunch. Our staff meeting won’t be until 3 or 3:30 this afternoon. I’m going to gather some clothes and let them wash whilewe are meeting the pitch them in the dryer after work.
I cooked a turkey breast last night for supper tonight. Gonna either cook a sweet tater or some red potatoes and peas.
Clucky, the little red car. Ouch! Sorry sister.

  33. msblondie says:

It is hump day! everyone have a great day!

  34. parrotmom says:

Happy Wednesday!!! Can’t wait for the warm up again.

  35. Airwolf says:

Happy Wednesday and happy left-handers day!

I hope your day is going the way you wanted it to go.

  36. Clucky says:

Tragic about the sudden death of Jackson Mayor Lumumba.

Ten PM and I’m going Nitey nite I hope. Sweet dreams.

  37. msblondie says:

Thursday morning! Brrr. I am ready for spring to get here and stay a little bit – just not the pollen.

    everyone have a great day!

  38. blues4you says:

    strolls in/nods hello/gets coffee/goes back to work

  39. Cardinallady says:

It’s 1122. Been sat moms house the last two nites. She is still in pain. I hope the chiropractor hits the right bone tomorrow she needs some pain relief

  40. msblondie says:

Happy Friday! everyone have a great day!

  41. Molly says:

Mornin. Kiddo challenged me to do 50 squats last night. Like an idiot, I took her up on it. I only made it to 20….and I’m paying for that today! Oh, my legs hurt!
It’s shaping up to be a gorgeous day today. I am ready for Spring!
Did I tell you Kiddo’s college plans have changed? I always thought she would go to my alma mater in Tennessee (a private and therefore VERY expensive alma mater!). That had been her plan as well. Turns out they don’t offer what she wants. She wants to be an ultrasound technician and those courses are found at junior colleges. We thought, then that she would go to TN the first year to get the basics and then to a Jr. college for the ultrasound-specific courses. Alas, my alma mater is just too expensive now and we decided she will just go to Hinds. She’ll have to go 3 or 4 years, though, because she has to have an Associate’s in Radiology before starting the Medical Diagnostic Sonography program. She doesn’t want to live at home, so she’ll be on campus at Raymond. She’ll have some independence, but be close enough to bring her dirty clothes to me…the best of both worlds for her.

  42. cardinallady says:

Evening, got another day whupped. WE just had some rain, I think I will soon see a rainbow. I’m kicking this office. See yall later! Cardinalson and I are going to watch Son of God tomorrow.

  43. blues4you says:

    Good sunday morning folks.

Y’all that’s going to church this morning please say a little prayer for us working guys today.
