everyone have a great day! 1 more day till opening day!

  10. Molly says:

    Achoooo! Um…I mean, Mornin.
I had a job offer out of the blue last night. I’m not actively looking for a job, but am willing to entertain the idea. I don’t think I’ll take this one, though. Sounds like it might be a good job, and it pays a bit more than I’m making now. That’s the only advantage, though. In the “Con” column, it is in downtown Jackson and it has no benefits. I have no benefits where I am, but only have a 5 minute commute. If the new job offered health insurance and maybe a 401k, I could deal with going downtown again. And while an increase in pay would be very welcome, it’s not enough to entice me to face Lakeland traffic on a daily basis again.

  11. blues4you says:

    Hey folks.

Hope everyone’s doing well. Really hoping I can make the picnic this year.

Moderate to heavy stress factors here at work and at home. Nobody ever said this would be easy. Trying hard to keep good thoughts. And as always, it could be a lot worse.

  12. Molly says:

Hey, Blues. Hope you can make it to the picnic. Sorry about the stress. Deep breaths…. You can handle it — I have total and complete faith in you!

  13. Clucky says:

Had a great day yesterday, ncluding quilt fabric and a long visit with my mother-out-law. (My ex’s mom) Trying to get moving today.

  14. cardinallady says:

Afernoon! red bird flitting in. Been a busy two days and spent most of today trying to avert some vertigo problems. Went home and took two aspirin two ibuprofin and some honey with peanut butter and laid down. Feel much better. I can at least walk straight. Before I looked like a dog with distemper. came back to work and all these people around me are hacking and coughing.

  15. parrotmom says:

Praying for you BLues. Hang in there.

The pollen has us all being a little sneezy.

  16. Clucky says:

    Pollen everywhere!!! Ah-CHOO!!

  17. parrotmom says:

Good morning to all. Today is my Friday. Woohoo!!

OB hope you and PQ had a wonderful anniversary.

  18. msblondie says:

morning gang! IT IS OPENING DAY(NIGHT)!!! OK can you tell I am ready for baseball!

Got the yard finished last night so I wouldn’t be thinking about it this weekend.

I have eaten several large spoons of honey and raw garlic cloves to try to keep the allergies at bay this year. so far working. The rain that is coming in should calm things for a few days.

Lots to do so everyone have a GREAT DAY!

  19. Molly says:

Mornin. The job I mentioned yesterday just got a little sweeter. Seems they are now offering health insurance. You just don’t know how badly I want to get off of hubby’s policy. Since he works for Blue Cross, they think they own him and his dependents and they know better than our doctors what we need. I REALLY don’t want another colonoscopy next year and my doctor says I don’t need one until 2023. But Blue Cross says if I don’t get one next year, they will discontinue my insurance. Have I mentioned that I HATE BC/BS of Mississippi?

    • cardinallady says:

Humph, my editor told me yesterday that I needed to go have some blood work done and get a colonospicy..I don’t NEED to know what THAT looks like down THERE. Everything moves as it should because I am a greens eating girl.

      • Molly says:

What’s even more irritating is that Blue Cross wouldn’t pay a dime on the colonoscopy last year because I didn’t have it done on THEIR time schedule!

  20. cardinallady says:

prayers please. My little brown dog Tuck disappeared yesterday from my yard. I think he is galavanting if you know what I mean. Just pray that no one will pick him up. His collar isn’t on.

  21. parrotmom says:

    Happy Friday!!!

Prayers CLady hope Tuck finds his way home soon.

To day is the second anniversary of PD’s death. These past few months have been worse in ways than last year. Today will be a good day is a travel day going to meet knew friends for the weekend.

  22. Molly says:

  23. blues4you says:

    Happy friday everyone!

Congrats & happy anniversary OB & PQ. Hope y’all had a nice one.

  26. Airwolf says:

I hope everyone made it through the storm last night. It did watch some of the yellow pollen away! I’ve been really busy, getting taxes done and just dealing with life and have not had much time.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Happy anniversary to OB and Prom Queen, I’m late as usual!

  27. Clucky says:

The sun is shining!! I slept through the bad weather-as usual.

    Love you, PM. ((((Hugs))))

Spent yesterday shopping with M as she prepares for state FBLA competition next week. She asked if I would get a room in their hotel so she could just stay with me…I realized she just wanted my shower! LOL

    Happy Friday, y’all!

  28. Cardinallady says:

Hello from the sick bed. It’s my second day of quarentine. Turns out mine wasn’t allergies after all. I have type a flu. Wouldn’t you know I get the best grade in something that is bad for you? Jon has been armed with a can of Lysol since he came home.

I’m on a tammiflu pill regimens twice daily and he also prescribed something for my infected right ear. I wasn’t sneezing a bit til I got on these drugs. But doc told me they would make me feel worse before I got better. We won’t even talk about that nose test for the flu. I think she touched my brain with that thing. Ruffled my tail feathers right up

  29. Cardinallady says:

Oh and thanks for your prayers. Tuck was home all along. He was hit by a moving tire. I don’t know if it was a car or a four wheeler because people ride in the woods beyond our house. He can’t stand on his hind legs. He drug himself from the hit sight to my driveway. I went to the mail box and on my return he was sitting beside the driveway resolutely looking at me. We’ve been convalescing together

  30. Airwolf says:

Hope you feel better soon CL. Congratulations on your 18 year anniversary at the paper!!

It’s beautiful outside but it is cold! Have a great weekend!

    • Cardinallady says:

Thanks Airwolf I have actually been here 25 years come August. The journal bought is 18 years ago. Oh how did you know that anyway?

  31. Airwolf says:

CL the daily journal had a picture congratulating you on your 18 years yesterday in the classifieds.

  32. Cardinallady says:

Good wet Sunday afternoon I’m beginning to feel like I’m human again. I was wondering this time yesterday. But doing so much better now PRAISE JESUS

  33. Molly says:

Hey, CL. Glad you are on the mend. How’s Tuck? Hope he’s mending, too. Poor baby.
Clucky, when a teenage girl asks her mom to come along on some kind of trip, you KNOW she just wants something from you. A shower, in this case. Are you under orders to stay in the shadows when others are around?

  34. Clucky says:

I’m not going. She’ll survive. I have too many critters at game requiring my attention right now.

    Glad you are better, CL!

We are just about to float away around here. I spent the evening hemming sleeves and pants.
