  1. Molly says:

Hey. Quiet Memorial Day for us. We did do a little car shopping for Kiddo. She really needs a better car. She has her heart set on a Civic and that’s probably what we will end up with.

  2. Clucky says:

Mr. Fab is on vacation this week, so there may be some fishing this morning.

  3. parrotmom says:

Happy Tuesday!! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Now the push to get May behind us.

  4. Molly says:

Mornin. I’m having a little trouble posting today. Let’s see if this works…

  5. Molly says:

    That’s better.
Today was the first day since May 15 that I’ve had a strict morning schedule to keep…and I did okay.
I have the office to myself today and tomorrow. Maybe I will be able to get some things accomplished.
    Have a great day!

  6. msblondie says:

morning gang! posted yesterday but see it didn’t happen.

Been crazy busy after returning from being off a few days.

    everyone have a great day!

  7. Airwolf says:

Good morning hope everything is well. I’ve been much busier than I like to be. I’ve been fighting bronchitis for a while. It happens whe I get too hot.

I’ve got Bear with me now that he’s out of school.

  8. parrotmom says:

    Happy Thursday to you all!

AW hope you can get it kicked soon. No fun!

Hope everyone is hanging in there. After the two days I had yesterday it feels like Friday!

    (((((((MRBA)))))))

  9. Molly says:

Mornin. Kiddo’s car broke down this morning and I had to go rescue her. It really is time to get her a new car.
AW, hope you feel better soon. Bronchitis is no fun. But I know you like having Bear hanging out with you.
I’m not sure what day of the week it is, PM. After last week and then the long weekend, I keep having to double check.

  10. cardinallady says:

Morning folks! How are all of you this Friday morning? Sorry I didn’t fly through until now. I spent two days typing an encyclopedia or my editor. LOL! It seemed like it anyway. Between that and helping customers it has been busy.

I came in early this morning because Jon thought he had to go bake bread. Turned out he didn’t. I’ve been trying to find my desk.

We had our Memorial Day festivities with the family Sunday afternoon so Jon and I just kicked back and relaxed at home Monday. Took in a little fishing Monday afternoon. I caught a passle of little fish getting ready for our summer camp the end of July.

Also got some snails. Have some of the fish and snail in a little tank here at the office. Yesterday morning I scooped up some of the frog eggs from my front pool, so I’m watching tadpoles hatch here too. A regular mini aquarium around here.

  11. msblondie says:

morning gang! been wild and crazy around here. I will never understand why they make a golive the same week as a holiday. They have about killed us. Usually Friday’s our phones don’t ring much. This morning it has been off the hook.
Hope it quieten downs.. got tons to catch up on and do.

  12. parrotmom says:

    Happy Friday to all!

MsB I wonder sometimes wonder why my company was thinking at times too!! Hope your phones slow down

CLaday you just surprise me sometimes. The simple things that we forget to watch sometimes. I try to find something new are pretty each day. Never thought of tadpoles.

    Everyone enjoy your weekend.

  13. DWB810 says:

Hello Everyone!! Happy Friday. Been busy but still no movement on the job front. Been working with several employment agencies. I am feeling positive. Well off to do more cleaning and laundry and ironing (not my favorite thing to do so I just get it all done at once).
Have a great weekend all. I am so glad to be able to call you all as friends.

  14. Molly says:

Mornin. Kiddo is the proud new owner of a 2012 Honda Civic LX. We surprised her with it yesterday morning. She was not expecting to get a car for a few more weeks. She’s one happy Kiddo. She starts at Hinds tomorrow morning bright and early, and we wanted to make sure she has a reliable car to get there and back.

  15. cardinallady says:

Good Monday Morning! Halleljuah! For the first time in years I now have a washing machine at home. Found one at a yard sale for an undoubted bargain. It washed one load okay. Looked practically new. Came out of a storage unit takeover.

Now if we can get a pretty day or two in this week, I can get some clothes on the line. :)

I must get to work now.

  16. Molly says:

Mornin. Congrats on the washing machine, CLady!
Kiddo is officially a college student as of today. Her class started at 7:30 AM. They had to have their textbook for today…which, of course, we didn’t know…so the teacher dismissed class long enough for everybody to go buy one at the bookstore. Thankfully she had her debit card (and more money in her account than I have in mine!) and she rented a book for a mere $235. Textbook prices are ridiculous!

  17. msblondie says:

    morning gang!

    Already been a busy day.
Molly the book prices are insane. We did the rent books as well with M. Much cheaper than buying (even buying used one). Reminds me.. need to find M’s science book for summer session.

CL – know you are glad to have a washing machine at home. I never like lugging laundry to the laundry-mat.

    Everyone have a great day!

  18. parrotmom says:

Happy Tuesday!! Congrats CLady. Nice not to have to leave home to do laundry.

I’m amazed at the price of books for college classes.

    Everyone take care.

  19. Molly says:

Mornin. Kiddo spent hours studying last night….something she never had to do in high school. She was especially horrified, though, when she got to the chapter she had to review that was all about chemistry. She wasn’t expecting any chemistry in Human Anatomy & Physiology. Chemistry was not a good subject for her — those were her worst grades in her 12 years of school. She texted me after class this morning and said she learned more chemistry in class today than she did in the whole year at NWR. Sounds like this teacher really knows how to teach. She hasn’t had many “teachers” with that ability in the last 12 years.
Class lasts a little over 2 hours and, following a short break, she has a 2 hour or so lab. After all that yesterday, plus a dentist check-up and a few hours studying, she passed out at 8:30 last night. She’s working at the bowling alley on weekends this summer and thought she could handle a second job during the week. She applied at a store at the Pearl Outlet and they offered her the job. After yesterday, she realized that would be too much and turned it down.

  20. Clucky says:

Molly, I loved A&P I and II and Microbiology. What is her major?

Thought I would say hi! so y’all didn’t think I fell off the planet. I’m watching my crazy cat, who I think is Pip’s feline twin-it seems like they may be of the same cloth. She likes to sleep on my pillow, especially ON MY HEAD. LOL now the cat is licking my hand. Weirdo.

We watched the boys play with their new band this weekend. They sound pretty good! Tomorrow, they are meeting us to help us load a washer! Ours, after spending more in repairs than we could have bought a good used one for, finally gave up the ghost. We scored the one we are getting from a youn man (cousin) that has moved back home for a couple of weeks, then will be starting Basic! Yay!!

    Love y’all, take care!

  21. blues4you says:

    Stumbles through door/gets up/brushes self off/I’m good/hope y’all are doin’ ok

  22. Molly says:

Mornin. Hey, Blues! Good to see you. Hope all is going well for you.

Clucky, Kiddo will be applying to the Radiologic Technology program. After that, she would like to do the Sonography program. Human A&P 1 and 2 have to be completed before January in order to apply to the Radiologic Tech program which is why she’s taking the 1st semester of it this summer.

Kiddo’s boss at the bowling alley took the 3 employees who just graduated out to eat at Tico’s last night and gave them each a very nice cash gift. After her disaster of a first job and boss, I’m glad she’s got a job she likes and bosses who are good to her. She thinks every kid’s first job should be at the Flowood Baskin Robbins…that way they will appreciate pretty much any job that comes after it. The owner of that place could definitely be a finalist in a “Worst Boss Ever” competition.

  23. Mrs. H says:

I just realized that it’s been ages since I’ve been here! Sorry, folks.

We went to NOLA last week for our 32nd anniversary. The church was doing a family mission trip for 2 church starts: one in the 9th Ward and the other in Metairie. We stayed somewhere just the 2 of us Thursday night and then joined the work on Friday morning. Mr. H is not a fan of noise so we left Saturday night rather than staying another night in bunks. It’s a good thing we left a day early. When we got home, Mrs. Jones had been shut up in the closet since Thursday morning!!

VBS starts Monday. I’ve been getting my Mad Science Lab demonstrations ready. I have built 3 catapults and 2 mousetrap cars. Lots of POTENTIAL there!!

  24. parrotmom says:

Molly so glad kiddo has a boss that appreciates his employees. That was a very kind thing he did for the graduates.

Hi Blues, you need to watch that step next time you come in the door. Been missing you.

MrsH nice to hear from you too! I imagine Mrs. Jones was not a happy camper. I can just picture her bolting from the closet like a streak of lightening.

Friday has finally arrived, hope you all have a great day and make it a great weekend.
    ((((((((MRBA))))))))

  25. Molly says:

Mornin. Kiddo is finishing up her first week of college today. They are cramming a 16 week semester into 4 weeks. I think she’s studied more this week than she did the entire 4 years of high school. In fact, I know she has. She spends hours every day studying. She had a test in lab yesterday and is taking a test in the lecture part of the class today. Tonight and tomorrow, she plans to take a break, but Sunday will be a study day again.
It has gotten really busy at work all of a sudden, so I better get to it.
    Have a great day everybody!

  26. msblondie says:

Morning gang! been crazy busy so haven’t had a lot of time.

Everyone be good and have a great day!

  27. blues4you says:

    Hey folks.

Gettin’ pretty warm here in Tejas. Wish they had some of the rain I had last week at home over here.

  28. Clucky says:

Blues, it’s hot as a Billy goat in a pepper patch eating two rows at a time here.

Happy 32nd, Mrs. H! I do bet Mrs. Jones was very glad y’all came on home!

Molly, we’ve probably had THAT boss before. I’m glad for your girl that it’s behind her!

    Auvoir!

  29. Molly says:

Mornin. We had a doozy of thunderstorm around 1 am. Woke me from a very deep sleep. Been a while since I heard so much thunder.

  30. blues4you says:

    walks in/hey folks/collapses on floor

Got the workin’ man blues today. Just looking at my time sheet from 6/2 thru 6/9 and I see 107 hours worked….I do not get paid by the hour.

    conclusion: I am stupid.

    • Molly says:

Wow, Blues, that’s a lot of hours there! I don’t know that you are stupid, but I’m am reasonably sure you are underpaid!

  31. cardinallady says:

Morning guys. Almost afternoon. I’m here. Wet feathers and all. Looks like I’ll get to wear my rubber boots all week long.

Good to see everybody and to catch up right quick. I’m still car-less. Waiting on the bank to talk over my loan. i found a 2002 4Runner. Low mileage. Pretty. Please pray it will come through.

  32. msblondie says:

afternoon gang! Finally getting to come up for air. so busy busy.. but makes the days go by faster.

hope all is going well for everyone.

    be good!

  33. cardinallady says:

WE finally got our dummy to lay out the the newspaper. Yaaaayyyyy!!!! It is five and I usually get it at 2

  34. parrotmom says:

Whoa! What day is it? Goodness it gets busy when 3 out of 10 are gone. Hope you all dry out. Live and hugs to all.

  35. blues4you says:

    Hey folks.

I left breakfast tacos & donuts in the breakroom. Y’all be good.

  36. Molly says:

Mornin. Thanks, Blues. You are so good to us. :)
    Gorgeous day today

  37. Airwolf says:

Morning! We’ve had so much rain, we’re getting web feet up here. Can’t mow and the grass just keeps getting deeper!

    Stay dry!!

  38. msblondie says:

hey gang! sorry haven’t stopped in lately just really busy.

    everyone be good

  39. blues4you says:

    6/13/14 07:15

LET’S GO FOLKS. FEET ON THE FLOOR @55 IN THE AIR. Y’ALL GON BE LATE FOR WORK!

  40. Molly says:

I was here on time, Blues! Of course, with my 3 minute commute, I can afford to wait to the last minute to get up and going.
Short day for me. I’m tagging along to be chauffeur for hubby — he’s having a colonoscopy at 1:30 today. What better way to spend Friday the 13th?

  41. Ann Onimous says:

Molly – hope you had an awesome birthday yesterday!

  42. Clucky says:

    Happy Father’s Day.

    Thinking of you, AnnO.

3 weeks til Baby E is due! Her mom is all belly now. Bless her heart!

  43. cardinallady says:

Good Monday afternoon June 16! It has been MOOONNNDDAAYY all day, but the good news is, next Monday, I’m gonna be on Vacation! Tuesday night I will report back to AP the election results for Pontotoc between McDaniel and Cochran. Wednesday at 2 a.m. Jon and I pile into my Toyota 4Runner and head for the costal waters of Mississippi! I did get my car last Thursday. It’s a dark blue and I haven’t found anything that I don’t like about it yet.

    • blues4you says:

Congrats on the new ride, cardinal.

I too am sporting a new unit. Got rid of “ol blackie” about 4 weeks ago.

  44. Molly says:

Mornin! Congrats on the new-to-you car, CLady!
Hope everybody has a great day!

  45. Airwolf says:

Afternoon! Can you say hot. Congratulations on the new ride cardinal lady!!

Packing a few things. Headed out to Branson Missouri in the morning to get away for a few days!

  46. Molly says:

    Have fun, Airwolf!

  47. msblondie says:

june 19 – what a week – it has been so busy here at work. I have been given more to do and no more pay – go figure.

hard to believe Saturday M will turn 20.

    everyone have a great day!

  48. Molly says:

Hey. Getting a new dishwasher installed at some point this afternoon. YAY!

    Happy Birthday, Legal!

  49. blues4you says:

    Wanders in/nods hello/puts donuts on counter/gets coffee/goes to work

  50. Molly says:

Mornin. Thanks for the donuts, Blues.
Dishwasher is installed. All did not go as planned though. Apparently, the rubber gasket in the shut off valve for the hot water under my kitchen sink was dry rotted and when they turned the water off, it fell to pieces and leaked all over the place when the valve was turned back on. So, I had to call a plumber. Seems you can’t just replace a little $0.25 gasket, you have to replace the whole thing. It’s always something, isn’t it?

  51. parrotmom says:

Blues you rock. Thanks for the donuts. It’s been busy at work. I’m off work today. Having an 8 ft sliding glass door replaced with French doors. I’m so excited. Everyone enjoy your weekend.

  52. Molly says:

Hey. Everybody must be busy today.
Kiddo’s Human A&P class is a 4 week class. They take a test every Friday. Last week she figured out that if she made a 95 or better on her last two tests, she would come out with an A. She studied hard. After class Friday, she said it was the hardest test she’s ever taken and everybody came out of it saying “What the heck was that??” Today, she found out she made a 99!!! She can’t believe it, but she sure isn’t going to argue. Now to make a high A on the test this week.
Then next week, she moves on to an algebra class. I really hope she has a good professor….math is not her strong suit.

  53. parrotmom says:

Hi Molly, that’s great for Kiddo.

    Guess we are all busy.

  54. Airwolf says:

Got back from the bus tour last night. We had a really good time in Branson. I think all we did was eat and watch shows.

  55. msblondie says:

    hey gang! crazy busy.

M starts summer classes next week. she was short 2 classes in keeping her scholarship – so 2 classes she has- luckily they are both online so she can do them before and after work.

AW – glad you had a good time on your trip.

  56. Airwolf says:

Is the blog suffering a slow death?

Hey folks. I’ve been cutting grass in this heat. It’s supposed to rain again tomorrow. Hope everyone has a fantastic day.

  57. Molly says:

I think it may be, AW. Marshall doesn’t even seem to be putting much on the blog anymore.

  58. GrammarGirl says:

I think Marshall has been taking some well-deserved time off. And I know I am guilty of getting busy and caught up in my own stuff and failing to take the time to post here, FB, etc. Everybody has more to do and fewer resources to do it with. I promise to try to do better, though, because I never fail to read the posts and comments; I just don’t always “show my face.”

How about a question of the day to generate some conversation? If you don’t like my question, feel free to post another one. Let’s just get to talking. :-)

I recently read The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks and this quote stood out to me: “she was struck by the simple truth that sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people.” So, the question is, what is something ordinary you have done that became extraordinary because of who you did it with?

  59. Molly says:

    Mornin.
Hmmmm, GG, that’s quite a question. I know a lot of things are more fun when done with special people. For example, I love for Kiddo to go grocery shopping with me — she always makes it fun. Friends with a fantastic sense of humor have made simple things like going out to eat an entertaining event.

  60. blues4you says:

    6/26/14 8:30am

    Hey folks.

I wish i had new and interesting things to post about my “fabulous” life but the truth is, I’m just trying to keep a grip.

Wrapping up another well today. Travel day tomorrow from Leon Co., Tx to my little corner of the rez(about 550mi). Looks like I’ll be home until the 6th or so. So I got that going for me.

    Y’all be good.

    • Molly says:

Blues, I understand that more than you know!
Congrats on returning to the rez. I know you are ready to come home a while.

  61. Clucky says:

    Welcome home, Blues!

Great question, GG. I’m thinking on that one.

  62. Airwolf says:

    Morning folks.

It’s raining again this morning on my hill. Bear has been Boy Scout camp all week so it has been very quiet. He comes home tonight. Couple days of rest and he’ll be over.

I hope your day is special.

  63. Clucky says:

AW, our mutual friend from Fulton isn’t doing well at all. Prayers are needed for his family. He’s a one of a kind. There will never be another HW.

  64. Molly says:

A couple I was in college with was in a car wreck in the Nashville area this weekend. The wife and 2 of the 3 children died. The husband and youngest son are in critical condition at Vanderbilt. I’m sure the family would appreciate prayers.
In the “Small World” category…J Beaver who used to hang out with us here on MRBA went with the Highway Patrol to the hospital to notify the husband that his family members didn’t make it. JB knew the husband from the TN Chamber of Commerce.

  65. parrotmom says:

Monday June 30th 8:40 am. Gee I think I missed a week. Everyone take care and be careful.

  66. Clucky says:

Grandgirl is due on 7/6. They just sent Mom home even though contractions are 3 minutes apart. It won’t be long til I’ll be sleeping with Grandpa! LOL

  67. DWB810 says:

Hello Everyone!!! It has been a long time since I have checked in.

Molly, so sorry about your friends. JB had mentioned this family on his FB page. Prayers for this family and their friends.

Clucky, I have been sleeping with a grandpa for about 7 years now, I hope all goes well with the birth.

Anyway, see you guys later this week. Going to pick up Big Al and have her here with us for the 4th.

  68. Clucky says:

Baby Ellie came into the world just fine! She’s just beautiful. Mr. Fab hasn’t stopped smiling yet :) can’t wait to see her!

  69. Molly says:

Congrats, Clucky! I’m sure Mr. Fab is a happy Papaw!

  70. Airwolf says:

Clucky I’m so sorry to hear that. HW was one of a kind.

  71. parrotmom says:

July 3rd 7:40 am. Hope everyone is doing well and busy preparing for a long weekend. Hope you have plans for BBQ with family and friends. Everyone be safe.

Clucky congrats to Mr Fab on his new granddaughter.

  72. Molly says:

The office is closing in a few minutes (at noon) for the long weekend. YAY! I am ready for a bit of break.
Kiddo finished her Human A&P class with a B….oh, so very close to an A, but still a B. Now she is in Intermediate Algebra and not enjoying it one bit! Algebra is not a strong subject for her. She has to take this course to get into College Algebra in the Fall, which she is required to take and pass with at least a C average by January in order to get into the Radiologic Technology program. I think she’s already learned a lot this week, but it is a struggle for her. I have found a tutor and she was supposed to have a tutoring session this afternoon. However, Kiddo woke up this morning with a stomach bug and had to cancel. Thankfully, classes are not meeting today so she didn’t miss that.
I hope everyone enjoys the Holiday weekend!

  73. Airwolf says:

I hope everyone has a great fourth of July. Going to the fireworks show tonight should be nice, weather is not too hot!

  74. Clucky says:

Supposed to be 56 here on Friday night! I can’t wait!!

Well, Mr. Fab and I both have sinus bordering on bronchitis going on. So glad I nagged encouraged him to go to the clinic. He got a shot plus a round of antibiotics. He’s still winingfighting it, but I hope after getting a good night’s sleep that he will feel better.

    Have a great 4th, y’all!

  75. blues4you says:

Happy 4th of July everybody! Hope ya’ll have a good one.

I was hoping to be off for the weekend but alas, it did not happen. Traveled back to Tx thurs afternoon. Working today(at least 16 hrs.) Y’all be safe out there this weekend.

  76. Airwolf says:

    Knock knock, is anyone home??

  77. Molly says:

I’m here, AW. How are things up your way?

  78. Airwolf says:

Doing good Molly hope everything is okay down your way! Ready to head to Florida for a couple weeks. Heading out Saturday.

    • blues4you says:

AW, i hope you’re planning on having a “Hawgs Breath” or three. The t-shirt you got for me is still one of my favorites. I send a kind thought your way every time i wear it.

  79. Molly says:

Everything is fine down here, AW. Kiddo is plodding through her algebra class. Nothing else, but work, going on. Have fun in Florida!

    • Airwolf says:

      I struggled with algebra too!

      • Molly says:

With the help of a tutor, she made an 89 on her first test! She only has 2 weeks and 2 days left in this class and 5 tests to go! I don’t know how she’s going to do it.

  80. parrotmom says:

Hi folks. Seems I keep disappearing.

Molly glad that kiddo did that well on first algebra test. Hope the others are that good or better.

AW hope you and Rambette enjoy your time in Florida. I have less than a month before my beach trip. Can you say excited :)

  81. blues4you says:

slowly opens door /pokes head in h…h…hello?

  82. parrotmom says:

HI, HI, Hi, Hi,hi, hi Bbbllluuueesss

  83. Molly says:

Mornin. Trying to get boss out the door to Court. Always hectic on those days.
I see we hit 100 comments…only took 6 weeks or so. I remember when that used to happen in a single day. I guess everybody is too busy anymore.
Oh, well….for whoever happens to pop in here…have a great Friday!

  84. Airwolf says:

Morning folks! Headed out to Florida for two weeks in the morning. y’all be good I’ll check in occasionally!

  85. parrotmom says:

AW. Have a fun time. Enjoy!

  86. parrotmom says:

Hope everyone has a fun weekend.

  87. Clucky says:

I’m having “Biscuit College” in my kitchen today. I never learned to make biscuits while Mama was alive, but at 45, it’s about time I learned. I’ve looked at a hundred recipes, but none seemed right. She need turned hers out and and kneaded them or cut them out. I finally discovered the reason-hers were true cathead biscuits.
A friend made jelly this year-I have a new jar of plum waiting for me to make a biscuit!!

    • blues4you says:

Been there. Done that, clucky. There was no recipe unless you stood by Mama’s elbow and watched. Of course I didn’t do that. Tried at least 4 different ones from Bell’s cook books plus 2 different mixes found at the grocery store. Nooope. Can’t make one better than those frozen ones(Mary B’s etc). The Pig’s store brand is one of the best and cheapest. Technology wins on this one. And a helluva lot less trouble too.

      • Molly says:

I’m with you on that, Blues. I can’t make a biscuit worth anything. But, Mary B sure can! When I found those frozen biscuits, I quit trying to make them. The frozen ones are just about as good…and a heck of a lot less messy!

  88. Cardinallady says:

I hope the biscuit making went well clucky. I make mine with canola oil these days.

It had been double busy at the newspaper plus I’m getting ready for kids kp
At church. Sorry I have been absent

From the praise The Lord pew Jon and I are putting a giant shark head together like you see at the shark heads souvenir shop on Biloxi only not quite that big. We needed some foam for it and have been praying about it. Well today a guy who owns a foam plant just happened to come to te supervisors meeting. I asked him if they had any foam scraps and when he asked why he
Said they would be glad to CUT out everything we needed including the
    Massive shark Head !!!!

  89. Cardinallady says:

Um girls who like to crochet. I’ve learned that you can cut plastic bags into strips and crochet a bag that is double strong and yet fits in your purse for easy carrying. I made a small one and pit a yarn handle on it for the beach to collect shells in

  90. Molly says:

Mornin. Gloomy looking day at the Rez today….which is fine with me if it’s going to keep the temps down.
Kiddo is taking an algebra test today. She tried it yesterday and her mind went blank and she failed it. The way this class works, you have to take a test over and over until you pass it. This is supposed to be the hardest test out of the 6, and once she gets it behind her, hopefully the rest of the course will be easier. She has worked really hard for this class.

    morning gang!

Last night hubby brought home a mess of field peas for me. I put up 9 quarts. I will have a few days of good eats for sure :)

Hope all is doing well. :)

Molly hope kido does good on her test. I know M was up late last night writing a paper for her history class she is taking and when I got home she was working on a Lab for the science class. All of this was her mid-terms.

Everyone have a great day and enjoy the cooler temps :)

  93. Molly says:

MsB, Kiddo passed the test…barely. But she passed and that’s what counts. Her grade dropped from an A to B. She still has 4 more tests to take in the next 2 weeks. She’s just glad that this test is over with.
Gorgeous day today. Sure wish I could be outside. I think I’ll have a little picnic at lunch.

  94. parrotmom says:

Congrats to Kiddo on passing the algebra test. Good luck on the others.

AW have enjoyed seeing the pics of the blue water. Just counting the weeks and days.

    Everyone take care.

Evenin. Just got in from church and a short trip to moms. Her car died while my bro had it borrowed. But she and dad do have his little truck. I’m about to curl up to my Laura I halls wilder book. It is a cool night. Great sleeping weather!!!

  96. blues4you says:

Hey folks. Stormy weather here in east tx. Hope AW’s gettin’ to see some sunshine.

  97. Molly says:

Mornin. Blues, your rain has moved into to Mississippi now. Looks to be wet all day.
Got up early today and washed that gray right out of my hair. Ahhh….much better. I got it cut short last week and it curled up. Who knew those curls were hiding under all that hair?

    Flash flood watch. Delightful. (Not)
Baby Daddy is taking all the kids canoeing Saturday. I don’t think the weather will be cooperative. Oh well.
It has been really cool this week, especially at night.

I nailed the biscuits! Woohoo!! So good with a friend’s homemade plum jelly.

Afternoon! Red bird hasn’t died. Just took me awhile to get the dead people laid out on the page today. Now to get a back to schools section done then get another column written for next week.

I’m off work Thursday and Friday for Kids kamp at our church so I’ve got to get my tail feathers down and dirty to get some work out before I leave. I’ll see yall later.

So EXCITED over kids Kamp, we have this shark that the kids can sit in the mouth of to take their picture. Even saved extra teeth in case these get knocked out. :)

Checking in from Anderson’s in Meridian. I would kill for FOOD.

  101. Molly says:

Mornin. Feeling better yet, Clucky? I hope you are back on solid food. Those liquid diets are just enough to make you realize just how hungry you are.
Kiddo and I saw the water spout over the reservoir yesterday. Pretty cool looking. We were in the car and only got a couple of glimpses of it between the trees.

  102. Clucky says:

Food!! Yes!! I thoroughly enjoyed my single slice of bacon, scrambled eggs and toast this
morning! My primary doc said I’m being discharged today, but I have to wait til I talk to my GI doc.
Funny story…apparently, I never went to sleep during my scope. I had Demerol and Versed, so I do not remember squat. Ah-hem. I’m a little scared because there is no telling what I said under conscious sedation.
