  1. Airwolf says:

Morning folks! Having trouble with my dog Pepper this morning. Had to take him to the vet he went outside and all of a sudden he couldn’t walk on one of his front legs. I don’t know if he had a stroke and neither does the vet. She gave him a shot of steroids and some prednisones to take daily now he seems okay. He’s 14 and getting a little bit old.

    I hope y’all have a great day!

  2. Molly says:

I hope Pepper gets better, AW. If he could only talk and tell you what hurts! One of my pups couldn’t put weight on a front paw once. He did something that broke a small bone in his foot. Right after he got that cast off, he stepped on something that stung his other front paw and couldn’t walk on it. He was a young pup then, though, (and getting into everything he saw!), not an old man like Pepper. Give Pepper a good ear scratch for me.
Kiddo had a good first day of college yesterday. She had 2 classes yesterday and really liked both professors. Two new classes today. I should see her at lunch and find out about them. She still has her Human A&P lab which is on Wednesdays and her Orientation which is online and doesn’t start until next week.

  3. parrotmom says:

    Hey AW and Molly.

Seems I’ve been AWOL. All is fine just here and there.

  4. Molly says:

Hey, PM. Been missing you. Did you have a good trip to the beach?

  5. Cardinallady says:

Evening aaachoo. Sorry Ive been on a search and rescue mission in my house and it seems I have stirred up the dust haven’t found the book I’m a hunting but I did rescue some other things from the rubble.
Has been a long hard day. The grand son of the founder of our newspaper died. I knew him well. He loved cats and he loved his pipe. Memorial services are tomorrow. Please pray for his family. His name is Russell cook. He was 59. And like me he got a late start on his family. His daughter is a year older than CardinalSom

He gave me my Callie cat 10 years ago. She will be 11 this fall. I thu k about him every time I see her. He was a true pressman. He loved the printing end of putting the paper out. When his dad sold the paper he stayed in the commercial off set printing business
He had a passel of cats in his shop

  6. blues4you says:

    Good morning.

Sorry for the loss of your friend, cardinal.

Small towns in western Louisiana have always struck me as kinda “odd”. Add a pretty good sized Army base to one and you upgrade to “woo boy, y’all crazy” as far as observing the local culture goes.

  7. parrotmom says:

Hey Blues, Molly, C-Lady. Good to see everyone.

Molly I had a good time at the beach. It had it’s sad points at times. I’m really missing my “best friend” Stormie. He was always happy and made me life. I had fun with my new friends that I made. I know there is a reason for all things that happen, whether good or bad. Life goes on.

  8. Mrs. H says:

El has her senior portrait appointment this afternoon. I wrote her a check-out note so she can miss band practice (last class of the day). No reason to go hot and sweaty to have your picture taken!

  9. Airwolf says:

Boy is this heat and humidity miserable!

On a good note Pepper is much better today. The prednisones makes him hot so he’s lying just just close to the AC Vents as he can get.

Stay out of this heat if you can!!

  10. Molly says:

I’ve been trying to post all day, but work keeps getting in the way.
MrsH, I hope El smiled pretty for her senior portrait…and wasn’t hot and sweaty. Here, they do the senior portraits during the summer before senior year.
Glad Pepper is feeling better, AW. We had a dog on prednisone once, but I don’t remember it making him hot.
I haven’t been outside enough today to know what it’s like. I was out a bit over the weekend and Sunday, especially, was miserable. Saturday, it seemed like it was bearable in the shade. Sunday nowhere outside was bearable.
PM, I know you miss Stormie. He was good company.

  11. Cardinallady says:

Evenin. It’s 11:27. Was a long day. But on a good note my nephew who is in jail was transferred back to pontotoc jail so his parents and my mom and dad don’t have to drive two hours to see him

Are the mosquistoes bad down there? They are about to tote me off here. Well I’m about to fall asleep. Good nite. Sleep tite. Don’t let the bed bugs bite!

  12. Molly says:

Mornin. Mosquitoes have not bothered me as much this year as usual. However, I did kill one in the house this morning. Kiddo has had quite a few bites.
Have a good day, everybody, and try to stay cool and hydrated.

  13. Airwolf says:

Happy anniversary to my beautiful wife Rambette. You’ve brought so much joy to me. She’s a wonderful wife, mother absolute fantastic grandmother!

We’re cooking up here, hope all you folks stay cool!

  14. cardinallady says:

Blues, just make sure you stay cool.

Molly, the mosquitoes have been TERRIBLE up in these parts. My editor said he painted some oil based primer on his wood last night and this morning had four misquotes stuck to it.

Jon has taken out the BIG TExas sized fly swat to take care of them. Something else that is terrible are the teeny tiny ticks. Just driving me NUTS.

  15. Mrs. H says:

Blues, have you tried the lemon/cucumber Gatorade yet? It is the oddest flavored drink I’ve ever had. Not bad, just highly unusual. El and Mr. H are not fans. I bought it for the color :) then noticed the name.

Tomorrow is our music minister’s birthday. I gave him a pair of camouflage wool socks that I knitted for him earlier this summer. WAY too hot to wear them now! But he told me he wanted some back in April. They’ve been in my basket (finished) since the end of May.

El decided to run for homecoming maid this year. Who knows where these inclinations come from!! BUT, if she makes it, Mr. H can drive her in the parade!!

  16. Cardinallady says:

Siiiiigh. Mrs h u remind me of my years in high school when you share about your children. Not that I ever ran for homecoming maid. i always loved homecoming day at school. And do you know our school takes a fall break on that day now? I’d feel gyped. Homecoming day was the one fall fun day at school that we had We have a huge parade downtown and they sell stuff on the square and have a big pep rally on the square

  17. Mrs. H says:

They do all that here in George County, still.

This evening, Mr. H and I are headed to Lowe’s to purchase a small cement mixer. After doing the excavation of dirt and sod (by hand with 2 shovels and a wheelbarrow) to put a deck off our back porch, we have poured one 4-ft section of retaining wall. That section took 7 bags of quikcrete mixed in a black plastic trough with a hoe! Since there are about 8 more sections to go, and we wanted to enjoy the deck in this lifetime, he decided we could speed things up a bit! For some reason, he enjoys manual labor, so we MUST do it ourselves.

    • cardinallady says:

Mrs. H. I realized that my post last night didn’t make sense at all. WE didn’t to a huge pep rally on the square when I was in high school, just a homecoming parade.

NOW they have the big pep rally on the square and the school clubs sell stuff to eat on the square.

  18. parrotmom says:

Happy Friday!! MrsH sounds like a good idea. Mixing concrete is not any fun. Hmm! Lemon/cucumber —- sounds strange.

AW. Hope you and Rambette had a nice anniversary celebration.

CLady watch out and font let the Mosquitos carry you away.

Everyone stay cool and stay hydrated. I think summer has finally arrived.

  19. cardinallady says:

Afternoon. How are y’all doing? We are doing great. I’m ready to go home.

This morning was an adventure. I’m sitting in my swing getting ready to read my scriptures and I hear a cat behind me muffling a “meow”. I wondered what was wrong so I looked back there and she is coming toward me with a HUGE brown field rat in her mouth. Glad she killed it, but I didn’t want it. The other cats were delighted she brought it and started helping themselves.

Well, little Tucker wasn’t about to be bested by cats and flew in amongst them and grabbed the prize. I knew the pup wouldn’t eat the thing so I squealed and grabbed him. Jon Lee came out to see what the commotion was and started laughing at my antics. I gave him the dog and he ordered him to let go of the rat which I grabbed by the tail. I carried the vermin to the cat house so the dogs couldn’t get it, still screeching. I keep germex in my car. Glad I do.

  20. Cardinallady says:

Evenin. Long Saturday. Looking forward or rest day tomorrow. Sitting under the dryer now trying to dry my brown locks. Just killed two mosquitoes trying to get blood from the same place. I need an African mosquito net

Our fair is in full swing. Will take several pics this week. Alright I’m sleep typing

  21. Molly says:

Mornin. Looks like another hot, muggy Mississippi day. Hopefully not as hot as the weekend was, though.

  22. blues4you says:

    Good afternoon, monsters.

MrsH, I have not tried the new flavor of gatorade. I don’t think I want to , either.

Got to go home for the weekend while the rig was doing things that did not require my services. It was a welcomed break. Back at it today and it’s a HOT one.

Happy Anniversary AW & Rambette! Wishing y’all many more.

    Y’all be cool out there.

  23. DWB810 says:

    Hello Everyone!

After 3 long years of unemployment and underemployment, hubby has a new job!!!!!!!!! Our nightmare is over. Of course this means we will be moving AGAIN but I will have all my toys (household items and furniture) back. It is not the big things I miss but small things such as my mini-chopper. Funny how small things amuse me. Anyway, thanks for being here for me in this trying time,

  24. cardinallady says:

Afternoon! Paper to bed. Will soon go back to the fair to take pictures of little buckaroos doing stick horse races and riding sheep. Seems like yesterday I took these pictures last year. Did that make sense?

Anyway, I’ve gotta tap in some MCT 2 test scores for next week’s paper. See yall later.

  25. DWB810 says:

Thanks Blues. CL, we are moving to Warren, AR which is about an hour from Greenville.

  26. Molly says:

Mornin. Congrats Dwb! I know this is a huge relief!
Woke up with a massive headache this morning and am just muddling through. I think I see a lunch hour nap in my future.

  27. blues4you says:

    strolls in/nods hello/gets coffee/goes back to work

  28. Cardinallady says:

Mornin hope the light isn’t disturbing y’all this 3:19 am. Had to get some aspirin and ibuprofin down me so I can sleep. Thot I’d peek I and say hi while the meds are kicking in it is a nice cool mornin. Humidity is somewhat gone. My new cat Greta is amusing herself while she is waiting on me to settle back to sleep. LOL she just fell off the night stand. She is so “graceful”

It is the week of two Mondays so life has been busy. But at least I will get my first real day off of the summer. I work on Memorial Day and July 4. I want to do something special with Jon to get him out of the house and encouraged. His her is surgery recovery hasn’t been fun. He likes to work too much and laying around isn’t setting well

Okay sand man is finally here. Good night

  29. blues4you says:

REVEILLE everybody! Up and at’em! Let’s go! It’s 6:57 on my sun dial! Daylight’s a wastin’. Here’s some donuts. Coffee’s perkin. Now get-up!

  30. Cardinallady says:

*sips coffee*. Okaaaay here and about to put my feet on the floor. Got my coffee and retreated to my bed to convince myself it is really mornin

  31. Molly says:

My computer is more sluggish than I am this morning. Every time I try to do something, I get “Not Responding.” I think my computer is a teenage girl.
    Oh, well.
I was up when you sounded reveille, Blues…just not on the computer.

  32. Airwolf says:

    Knock knock anybody home??

  33. Cardinallady says:

Flitting through. Quiet day. Took a few fair pics. Now at home hunkered down waiting for the rain. Going to study my SS lesson for the kids. Perhaps after a nap. It feels nice to have a laaazy day

  34. DWB810 says:

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying a good Labor Day.

  35. blues4you says:

strolls in/cuts the lights on/fires up all the machinery/puts donuts on counter/makes coffee/goes to work

Hope every body had a nice holiday. I’m 30 days in on this project. 2-3 weeks left.

  36. Molly says:

Mornin. Thanks for the donuts, Blues. Got any cream-filled in there?
We had a quiet weekend. Didn’t do much. Kiddo was gone most of the weekend. We saw her a little while Saturday afternoon and then again yesterday. Sometimes I forget she actually lives with us.

  37. Airwolf says:

Hey folks! I’ve been waiting on the rain all day. So far I’ve got a few drops. I hope all is well at your house!!

  38. Cardinallady says:

Flitting g in before the day leaves. I thot I said hi yesterday guess I didn’t or the computer ate my homework. I had a wonderful day pressing flowers for some Christmas projects while Jon went dove hunting. Fixed his birthday wreath the. To mamas for supper

Got paper to bed today it rained here my fish and frogs loved it

  39. Molly says:

Mornin. AW, the rain here held off until 5:30 or 6:00 yesterday, but then boy, did it rain! And thunder that shook the house. It stormed for 2 or 3 hours. Lots of power outages around us, but thankfully not in our neighborhood.

  40. cardinallady says:

Morning prayer please. My dad and two of his sisters are going to see their brother in Memphis at the VA hospital. A diabetic, he has been on dialysis for some time now, he fell and broke his hip last week and had a complete hip replacement Monday I think. Their baby brother died in a car wreck September 5 of last year and now it seems right around that time this year they are going to be saying goodbye to the other brother. Daddy is the oldest, and it’s just he and uncle jim. It’s not supposed to be this way. But God knows best.

  41. Molly says:

FFA is so far down the list, it’s getting hard to find now.
    AW, how’s Pepper?
    Card, hope your uncle improves.

    • Airwolf says:

Molly I’m afraid Pepper is getting really feeble. But he’s getting by and seems ok for an old man!

      • Molly says:

Awww, I hate it when pups start going down. Give him another ear scratch for me. My boys love it when we scratch right behind their ears. One of them will keep nudging your hand to do it again when you quit.

  42. Cardinallady says:

Good news!! Uncle Jim is doing WELL!! Daddy and mama are going to go see him tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers.

  43. blues4you says:

I am just numb from all these 12 hr days. I wouldn’t know what day it is if not for football games on tv.

  44. Molly says:

Glad to hear about Uncle Jim, Card!
Sorry about your long days, Blues. I know that has to get old FAST!

  45. Molly says:

I don’t want to talk to myself, so I haven’t been commenting. Looks like everyone has lost interest, or at least is not interested enough to dig down through the list of entries to find FFA. If this is the end, I will miss everybody.

  46. Clucky says:

I’m finally checking in. It’s been chaos around here. We’re buying Mama’s house. It’s been remodeled and it’s almost like a new house, but still close enough to be comfortable. They still have so much to do, and I’m seriously angry. We had planned to move this weekend, but there’s no way they’ll finish in time. We’re supposed to close on the house on 3 days. It’ll never be ready.
Chicklette and the Things are doing well. I went to the dr this week and got some much needed relief.
Last weekend, our truck died. In removing the gas tank to replace the fuel pump, he threw his back out. It’s been a not very good week so far. I hope it improves.
It’s after 1am, so I’m going to try to sleep.
    I’ve missed y’all! DWB, I’m ecstatic for y’all!

  47. Clucky says:

Also PLEASE use mosquito repellant. PLEASE.

  48. blues4you says:

    9/112/14 07:00am

Good morning folks. Daylights awaistin’. Let’s go! Hop to it! You’re gonna be late if you don’t get in a higher gear.

  49. Clucky says:

Hey I’m up! No need to yell!
    Now where’s my doughnuts?

    • blues4you says:

Sorry, I was runnin’ a little behind at 06:00am I didn’t have a chance to stop.

      Besides(pats belly) we don’t need’em anyhow.

  50. Airwolf says:

    I’m up, don’t yell! Morning!!

  51. Molly says:

I was up, dressed and ready to roll at 7:00 a.m.

Kiddo and I are headed to Tuscaloosa tomorrow for the football game. Kiddo is a MAJOR Bama fan and this is her first Bama game to attend. My brother came through on a promise he made last fall to get her tickets. He’s at the top of her Favorite Family Member list.

  52. Cardinallady says:

Evenin. Got a mini magazine to bed and newspaper well on the way. Spent time at moms tonight Have the ticks been bad around y’all’s neck of the woods? The teeny tiny o Ed have played havoc with is this past month. They are getting intolerable. Jon and I are constantly picking them off

Ease put Nathaniel Butler on your prayer lists. God knows what he needs thank you very much

  53. blues4you says:

    Good morning.

Working close to a huge Army base has been quite interesting. You never know what you’re going to see on the roads.

  54. Molly says:

Mornin. We’re back from Tuscaloosa. We had a great time. The game itself wasn’t overly exciting, but still a fun atmosphere. We went back on campus yesterday and walked and walked and walked. That campus is huge and somewhat hilly. I hurt today, but I sure slept last night!

  55. parrotmom says:

Good morning all. I’ve been AWOL off in my own little world.

DWB good news that hubby has a job at last. Where will you be moving too?

Molly the pics of you and Kiddo in Alabama were great.

Clucky hope your move has happened and that you are settling in.

Good to see and hear that everyone is doing well. Blues thanks for sounding Reveille I just had to disobey since I was vacationing. You all take care.

  56. Cardinallady says:

Mornin!!!! Good news!!! Jon goes to work tomorrow. He got a job at the school with my sister. She has two more years until retirement so she’s preparing another Butler to take her place. I am so grateful. It will help mama out all around be ause he will take up his I sura ce payments and half the phone bill.

I’m excited for him because for him it is a step forward and he’s not staying in the same place

  57. Cardinallady says:

Where did you go on vacation parrot mom

  58. parrotmom says:

Good morning everyone! What a wonderful day it is.

CLady I mostly did a staycation. I did drive down the trace to Natchez and had lunch, I did stop at Rocky Springs. It had been years since I had been to either.

OB on vacation at his favorite place in Florida, do ready to see the sand again.

    Everyone have a great day.

  59. parrotmom says:

    It’s Hump Day——Weeeee!

What a week sliding all over this road. My week has been hectic.

Hope everyone is well, enjoy your day.

  60. Molly says:

Mornin. Hey, PM. Glad you liked my Bama pictures.

  61. blues4you says:

stroll in/roots around in ‘fridge/makes sad ham sammich/grabs chips & water/goes back to work

  62. Molly says:

Sorry you had a “sad” sammich, Blues! I had leftover Subway and it was a bit soggy.
Been kinda crazy in the office this week. Everything always seems to come due or have a crisis at the same time. Went to my first Medicaid hearing for a client yesterday. They are not my favorite agency to work with. I’ll keep all other unfavorable comments to myself.
Ok…still have 45 minutes left in the workday. Let’s see what damage I can do in that amount of time.

  63. parrotmom says:

It’s Thursday and I do believe the spider enjoyed the sunrise as much as I did.

Everyone enjoy this day and smile. It makes people wonder what you are up too!

  64. Molly says:

Mornin, PM. You have a pet spider now?

  65. parrotmom says:

I hope not. I went back 30 minutes later to spray it, but had disparate from its web. I hope I don’t find it later in the house.

  66. parrotmom says:

    Disappeared

  67. Airwolf says:

Checking in. I’ve been AWOL , mother in the hospital and finally got her out. She had C diff which is a very dangerous illness for an older person. One parent in a nursing home another in the hospital will run you ragged! Thankfully everything has slowed down and kind a got back to normal.

    I’m really enjoying this weather!

  68. parrotmom says:

Weeeeeee! It’s Friday and fall is in the air. Isn’t amazing how fast the seasons are coming around faster and faster so it’s seems. The one thing that is constant is that God is good, all the time.

AW glad your Mother is home and doing better.

    Everyone enjoy your weekend.

  69. Molly says:

Mornin. Glad Mom is better, AW. I know you were worn out being pulled in 2 directions.
It does feel nice out today, PM. I hope this weather pattern holds.

  70. Airwolf says:

It is beautiful on my hill. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  71. Cardinallady says:

Cardinal son and I worked in the yard some today. I ha am operation Christmas child kick off party to attend first. I washed there clothesline a full if clothes. We went grocery shopping. Put them away and I took a nap. Made first rice for supper. We studies the SS lesson in Hebrews then went through out play lines. I’m ready for my fall nap

  72. parrotmom says:

Yippee, yippee! It’s Monday. I have another chance to do something good today…..

  73. Airwolf says:

48 degrees on my hill this morning! Have a good day friends.

  74. parrotmom says:

AW my phone had 52 but the temp on my wall had 56. Was a nice morning. Stuck inside, but like my view.

    Happy Tuesday

  75. Molly says:

Mornin. Happy Birthday, AW! Hope you are having a great one!

Kiddo quit her job at the bowling alley in July because they were insisting she work every night while she was taking a very intense month-long algebra class 5 days a week. Doing both was too much for her. Sometime in August she was missing work and asked for her job back. The co-owner said no. Then last night out of the blue she got a call asking if she wanted to come back and, if so, to come and talk to the other co-owner. She came home in a state of shock. Not only did she get her job back, she was hired back as a MANAGER. She almost said to him, “Don’t you know I’m still a kid??” Before she could say anything, he told her that although she is in that stage between being a child and an adult, she is a college student and she was a very good worker and he thought she could handle the responsibility. So, Kiddo is the new weekend manager at the bowling alley.

  76. parrotmom says:

    Happy Birthday AW.

Molly that is great knews for KIDDO. Congrats to her

  77. blues4you says:

    AAAAAAIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i feel much better now, thanks

  78. blues4you says:

Happy birfday AW!!! Hope you have a good one.

    Daaaannnng, you gettin’ old:)

Congrats for Kiddo. I know you’re proud Molly.

  79. Airwolf says:

Thanks folks, it’s been great thus far. Rambette is taking me to dinner, won’t tell me where. She says it’s some where I’ve never been hhmm!

  80. parrotmom says:

    Good morning everyone!

Happy Birthday Coop. Hope it is the best day ever.

  81. Molly says:

    Mornin.
    Happy Birthday, Coop!
So….where did she take you, AW?

  82. Molly says:

Mornin. Look out for falling fireballs today.

  83. parrotmom says:

    Happy weekend everyone!!

Molly hope you didn’t see any falling fireballs today.

  84. blues4you says:

    9/29/14 06:55am

Morning miscreants, looters, monsters and other assorted but not yet classified humanoids.

It’s very much a possibility that we get finished with this project this week. I think I still have a home to go to. MrsBlues keeps answering the phone least ways. Hope the dog remembers who I am.

Happy belated birthday coop. I sure miss you around here friend.

  85. parrotmom says:

Good Monday morning. Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.

Blues I hope you make it home and the licks want be changed.

  86. Molly says:

Mornin. I’m not sure which category I fit into there, Blues. Possibly more than one.
We had a dog that forgot my hubby once. We had only had the pup a couple of months and hubby had to leave for 2 weeks or so with the Air Guard. When he got back, pup thought he was an intruder and barked and barked. Took him a little while to decide hubby could stay. After that they were inseparable, and pup was always glad to see him come home from his trips.

  87. parrotmom says:

Happy Tuesday. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. All is well in my little world.

  88. Airwolf says:

I hope everyone’s having a wonderful Tuesday. I’m just enjoying this nice weather!

  89. Legal Eagle says:

Y’all, I have been so bad and I apologize and vow to do better. I haven’t been on the computer much at all, just playing games on my iPhone and posting an occasional picture on Facebook. I don’t go there regularly. I have no idea when I had time to work. I stay so busy now that I couldn’t possibly hold a job, even if someone offered me money. I love y’all and can’t wait till the next time I see you. In the meantime, I will try to stay more attuned.

  90. Clucky says:

    Happy October!
We should finish the move this weekend!

  91. Cardinallady says:

Yayyy clucky! I know you are excites. Fifteen years ago tonight Jon a d I spent our first night I. This house. Then we spent the next month moving in. I wish it was as clean as it was 15 years ago. How do we get so much stuff?

Eagle. I’ve been busy myself. I I ow how you feel. Well gotta go get my hair clean and rolled.

  92. Molly says:

Mornin. It’s raining in my neighborhood. I’m looking forward to the cooler weather that’s supposed to be behind this front.
Kiddo starts back at the bowling alley today.
Speaking of Kiddo….she’s talking about changing her major again. We’re going to Hinds’ Nursing and Allied Health center tomorrow for their monthly informational meeting to talk about dental hygiene. If she goes for dental hygiene as opposed to dental assistant, she won’t be taking any classes at the Allied Health school, but will take 2 years of academic classes at the Rankin campus and then apply to the dental hygiene program at UMC or University of LA, Monroe. She keeps picking these careers that require applying for a hard-to-get spot in college programs.

  93. parrotmom says:

Happy Friday to all going to be a beautiful weekend. Good to Clucky, CLady, and LE check in. Clucky hope you get settled in soon and can relax a few.

  94. Clucky says:

How Tim and I haven’t strung up the owner we’re buying from yet is beyond me. Still can’t move. Still haven’t finished minor but necessary things like…plumbing, wiring, structural issues. That’s all…

Excuse me while I LOSE MY MIND.

I’m no longer a band mom, but still.. The Arrow Invitational is tomorrow. The best band contest I’ve ever attended…seriously. If you can, go.

Tim and I zipped to Jackson Thursday night. I finally met AnnO! What a sweetie, and her kids are great!

Check on y’all later. Gonna be cold enough to snuggle tonight :P

It’s a good day to be a football fan in Mississippi!

Didn’t make it home this week but we’re in the final stages of the project. Hopefully finished in about 48 hours.

    Monday, Monday!!!

Clucky, wow! Wished you could get settled in soon. Dang it seems like it’s been 2 months. I can understand the frustration.

Blues it definitely was a good day for Football in MS.

Congrats to me. I walked my first 5k yesterday. I wore this terrific maroon t-shirt designed by our Marshall. Banjo still lives. At the walk I got to meet Bo Lumpkins wife and walked the last 2 miles with her and her daughter in law.

    Everyone enjoy!

In Kiddo’s ever-evolving career choice decisions, she is now applying to Hinds’ Dental ASSISTING Technology program. It is a 12 month program beginning in January. With the classes she has already taken, she’ll have an Associates’ degree in December 2015. They told us Friday that the newly minted dental hygienists are having a hard time finding jobs and suggested she first take this route. Then, if she wants to do the hygienist route later, she will have this foundation to build one and this ability to make a living in the meantime. Hygienists make roughly twice as much as assistants, but only if they can find a job. This program is not hard to get in…as long as there is a spot and you qualify, you can get in. Deadline is Oct. 15 and there are about 6 spots open and she qualifies. So…we’ll see how this goes.

    Hellloooo…anybody here?
