Mornin. This rainy weather is not helping me wake up! My pups aren’t too thrilled with the rain, either. They stick their noses out the doggy door, sigh and lay down. They so hate to get wet.
I drove in rain, too. Heard thunder sometime before 6:00, but don’t know when the rain started. I just know that it was raining by 7:00

Yes, it was a nasty drive in this morning. Didn’t see any accidents. People were actually driving like they had some sense, for a change.

I can almost relate. PD’s estate is still not settled. Has been over a year on the original papers being signed. Maybe because something that could have been handled in 6 months someone slowpoked around? Now Judge wants all signed currently. Will it ever end.
I am so proud of the MSU Dawgs! That was such a great game–do wish it would have ended a little earlier. Yawn.
On another sports note, I am still shaking my head about the 790 Zone idiots. At least three “adults” thought about this “joke” and decided it was a good idea. It restores my hope a little bit that action was swift and harsh, but, really? At least three, if not more, people of any age thought it was OK, even funny, to mock a man with a terminal illness. Choose your words and actions carefully, folks; you can’t take them back.
If you want a good laugh this morning, find the story about the graduation cat cake. You will not regret it. Everytime I look at the picture, I start laughing again.
Em and I stayed up to watch the game. Mr. H bailed and went to bed!

I saw the graduation cake this morning. That is funny!
PM, hopefully your attorney will get the estate wrapped up soon. I know there can be snags along the way in estates. And everything moves at a snail’s pace in the Hinds County Chancery Court system. But a year is long enough with no fighting amongst the family.
my thoughts to Molly. He just sat on it for months. He had the signed papers back in May 2012 and never tried to see the Judge till August, but one day it will be done.
I heard about the cat/cap picture but need to go find it.
Evening. Lots of things happening. My mower crapped out before I could get the back yard mowed. Took it to be repaired and they said 4-6 weeks. Brought it home and still looking for a “fixer”. Think it needs a new carburetor. Wish I had the skill to do it.
Out water heater on the main floor went out last evening. We have another upstairs so we can shower, but the one on the blink handles the master bedroom, dishwasher, and clothes washer. Hope to get one installed soon.
Had a dental appointment today. More periodontal cleaning and a regular cleaning. Tomorrow I get two fillings. Then we will schedule two periodontal surgeries. Hopefully all the major stuff will be done at that time and I’ll only have to have periodic cleaning. I stayed away from the dentist too long.
I’ll tell you that, if you have the time, the UMC Dental School is a real blessing. Everything a student does is checked and double checked by an instructor. I’ve been going about a year now and have had a deep periodontal cleaning (upper and lower), two root canals, a filling, a crown, whitening, two regular cleanings, and today’s follow up periodontal cleaning. I’ve been very pleased with the treatments. The only drawback is it takes time. Most appointments are for two hours and the periodontal stuff is for four hours. But the price is very reasonable.
Got PQ signed up on Monday and she will start in August.
You need to breakdown and buy a John Deere and your mower troubles will go away! Most other mowers are Murray’s with someone’s brand name on it!
BE had teeth pulled at the dental school office in Jackson Mall recently. His dentist was in his last day before graduating and becoming an official dentist. He knew what he was doing.
Good to hear from you OB, you’ve been away. Hope you get your mower back in running condition soon.
Mornin. I hate going to the dentist, OB. It’s been a while for me, too. The dentist I used for years died last year, so I have to find another one. Can’t do time consuming dentist visits, though. My dentist visit needs to fit nicely within a lunch hour.
