Hello. Going to miss all those beach photos this week. Thinking about riding the Trace again in October. Last year I rode in November and only had traces of fall colors left. Hope everyone has a good week. I have to work tomorrow and Thursday. It pays for my fun so I do it with a smile.

One of George County’s young college students lost his life in a car accident this morning. Em graduated with him and has classes with someone else involved.
So sorry to hear that, MrsH. Young people die way too often in car wrecks. It is always so hard on the friends and family.
Afternoon, bright, sunny and not too warm. It’s dry as a powder house here. I suffered from the dust when I mowed yesterday!
Bill is running around like he owns the place but does not leave the electronic circle for his shock collar! Pepper and BB tolerate him.

Once a month, we have a breakfast for any of our youth that can make it to the church before school. This year, we have added a speaker. Last month, Judge Jay Bradley spoke. Today it was a cardiologist, who has retired to do mission work in Africa.

I got popped very near my left eye yesterday afternoon by a hornet. Nasty little buggers-it was like taking a right hook. The swelling has moved to my eyelid, but at least the pain is gone!
I won a pair of tickets to see Blues Traveler tomorrow night at Riley Center in Meridian. I’m stoked!

There is a C-L story about the fatality at MSU. The picture of Sawyer says so much. Kaleb was one of his best friends and they had been friends for years. The story says ‘man charged’, but he certainly doesn’t look like a man in that picture. He looks like a kid who has lost his best friend. Please pray for all the families involved.

Thanks, PM. It’s a busy day in our family. Don’t know when hubby and I will get to celebrate. Apparently a 101st birthday trumps a 26th wedding anniversary. Not only do we have to visit with the birthday girl tonight, we have to go to her birthday party on Saturday. We may be able to slip out of the party in time to go to dinner Saturday.
I tried to get in here earlier today, but got a message the site was not responding. May have just been my computer, though.
I just got back from the Pearl Library watching Marshall showcase his new book! In all these years, I’ve never been able to stand there up close and watch him draw. He drew several pictures and gave them to some of the children who were there and did one for the library. Awesome! And it was good to see him an extra time of the year besides the picnic and Run From the Sun.

I posted a picture of Grandma on FB that I took tonight. She doesn’t like having her picture taken and wasn’t cooperative. She was somewhat confused about a few things tonight — like her age — doesn’t know if she’s 100, 101 or 102, or what day she turns one of those ages. Could be today, could be tomorrow. She thinks she’s already had her party – it’s not until Saturday. But she was perfectly clear on other things. And feisty as always.

Good Saturday morning at 8:30 am. WhoHoo 5 inches of rain and I found the drawer in the kitchen that had the knives in so I could cut the brownies I bought last week. Life is Good.

I’ll be doing good to get out of bed today. Late afternoon dr appt yesterday to confirm what I already knew-bronchitis. I didn’t sleep worth a flip last night (Thanks, DECADRON!) But at least I can breathe. I have to get some housework done today. Period.
The rain was much-needed, but it was ill-timed. Our homecoming parade was a near-washout, and the ceremonies were held in the gym at halftime. The band didn’t march at all, and we lost again this week.

I typed something in earlier from my phone, but it timed out and I didn’t feel like typing it in again with my thumbs!!
I’m sitting at my computer reinstalling the recorded albums to my phone. They got lost in the upgrade process. That’s okay. Gives me a chance to start over and leave off some of the music I don’t listen to from my phone.
Mr. H is making a cheesecake for a Missions Fundraiser at church tomorrow. It smells wonderful. I’m hoping that instead of making the really big one, he makes a slightly smaller one and a little bitty “keeper” for us. The last 3 times he’s made one, no one in the family got even a taste. So sad……

I slept through the boys show last night-bad mama!-and slept til 830 this morning. Chick letter spent some amazing time together in the kitchen. Now I’m taking a break this evening as the wheezing has returned.
Coop, our Confederate Rose (from your folks) started blooming today! I always forget what a late bloomer it is. It’s at least 20 feet tall this year, and loaded with blooms!
