Make it a great Monday and enjoy!

Morning gang! It is going to be a great week – going to make it so!

I am not going to let a co-worker get under my nerves.

Busy week this week, playoff peewee game tonight (nephew), blood drive, heart walk stuff and the walk.

    Everyone have a great day!

    Hello Everyone!

Big Al (my mom) update. That woman is going to outlive us all. All she wants to do is shop and eat out. After eating the food at “the home”, I truly understand this.

Clucky, good luck on the job front. And give Mr. Fab a hug (but not to tight). I pray for relief for his back.
AW, I hope you dad is on the mend.
Molly, prayers for your grandmother to have pain-free days and peace for your mom.
Mrs. H, go glad for you and your brother to close on the house and have one less headache on your hands.
OB, hope your back has healed and will not be giving you anymore issues.

Have a wonderful week. Oh and —- GO CARDS!!!!

  4. parrotmom says:

Good Tuesday another wonderful day that we get to share.

DWB glad to hear from you. Keep looking up

  5. msblondie says:

    morning gang!

    everyone have a great day!

  6. Airwolf says:

Morning! I’m waiting on a propane delivery at the farm. Did I mention I hate to wait!

Hope everyone has a good day. Nice to hear from you DWB.

Daddy is about back to his old no.

  7. Mrs. H says:

We’re having a parade for our fall event at church tomorrow night. El wants to ride in our new car (a BMW M Roadster!!) in her prom dress and throw candy. I got poster board and streamers and stick-on jewels. Now to figure out what to say on those posters.

And next month our theme is hunting for the treasure of wisdom. And the “hunt” is more geocash than camo, so I’m building a satellite prop from an umbrella and a foil covered oatmeal cannister.

DWB, you mom sounds like my mom. She LOVED to eat out and shop…especially for shoes.

  8. parrotmom says:

MrsH cant wait to see the pictures. Everyone enjoy.
I am supposed to be taking pictures tomorrow night at our Harvest event on
Wednesday. I bought a new SD card and my Kodak camera doesn’t recognize it. Really? Worst case I’ll have to delete the pics off the existing card, but they are save to my computer.

  9. msblondie says:

    morning gang!

PM: Some of the older camera do not like the new SD Cards cause of their faster write speed and class.

    MrsH: sounds like fun.

    Everyone have a great day!

  10. parrotmom says:

Thanks MsB. I was going by the same package and brand I had previously bought. Looks like I’ll be on the hunt to buy a a could of the older ones if I find them. Cheaper than new camera.
Hope you all have a fun Halloween Eve!

  11. Molly says:

PM, I had a Kodak camera that didn’t like any SD card that wasn’t Kodak brand. I could usually turn the camera on and off a couple of times and it eventually would accept it.

My grandmother was moved to Hospice in Ridgeland last night. The doctor doesn’t expect her to make it more than a few days. She developed pneumonia and we decided not to treat it. She is 101 years old and has been ready to meet the Lord for a long time. Although it was hard to tell the doctor to let her go, we knew that’s what she would want. She’s had a good, very long life and we’ll miss her, but we all know it is time to let her go. Her funeral will be in Tennessee, so I guess a road trip is in the near future for me.

Molly, Grandparents are so very special. I always had a great respect and love for the 3 grandparents I knew. Prayers for you and your family. I pray for peace with the decision not to treat as it is very difficult. I pray that she is comfortable with no pain.

  12. Molly says:

PM, seems like sometimes I could eject the SD card and immediately push it back in and then the camera would accept it.

  13. cardinallady says:

Morning! flying through have togo to the town square post office and take a picture and do a story on a guy who has been the maintenance guy there for 50 years. Can you imagine it?

  14. msblondie says:

Molly so sorry. I know this was a hard decision for your family. Know we are praying for you.

  15. Mrs. H says:

I have made 13 gallons of tea, a pot of chili, a “Child of the One True King” poster to put on the car for tonight’s parade, and a satellite (from an umbrella and a foil-covered oatmeal cannister). The satellite goes with our geo-caching treasure hunt theme for November’s Sunday School.

A friend overheard me saying that El wanted a crown to wear in the parade. She made a phone call to someone she knows who has daughters that do pageants. There is now a large rhinestone crown sitting on my desk! She will be a happy, beautiful girl tonight.

  16. Molly says:

Mornin. This sinus infection is about to kick my butt. It would be nice to be able to breathe again!
That’s a lot of tea, Mrs. H! How was the parade last night?
PM, did you get your camera to work?

  17. msblondie says:

morning gang! Keep an eye on the weather today.

    everyone have a good day!

  18. Mrs. H says:

The parade was a HUGE success! El was a princess, the preschool department did an Oz float with Dorothy, the Scarecrow et al…, the youth department dressed up like Duck Dynasty, the Brown family (founding fathers of the church) had a float, as well as the deacons. A fun time was had by all.

  19. Molly says:

Grandma didn’t last long. She died around 2:00 this afternoon. Tuesday at noon, the doctor predicted 2 or 3 days. He was right. I’m glad she is no longer in pain, but sure am going to miss that spunky old woman! Her funeral will be in Tennessee on Sunday. We won’t go up until Saturday.

  20. msblondie says:

    Happy Friday!

Molly so sorry for your lost.

Well we didn’t have any trick or treaters last night. I figured I would have a few but not a one.

    Everyone have a great day!

  21. parrotmom says:

Good Friday morning. I have a beautiful view of colorful trees in the distance. The day is coming that they will bare and the reality of winter will be around.

Molly so sorry for your families loss. Awesome that she lived so long and had a good mind. You all were so blessed to have her.

Everyone enjoy your day and make it a great one.

  22. Airwolf says:

Morning! No trick or treaters at my house either. It was pouring rain with high winds. My yard is a mess with leaves, twigs and small branches. I see a entire days work cleaning it up when it dries some.

Molly we are so sorry for your loss! Prayers!

  23. Clucky says:

Sending our love to you and your family, Molly.

Still no word on the job. Should hear by next week.

Mr. Fab’s test was postponed due to a high white blood cell count and fever, so we came back from Jackson to our FNP, who diagnosed a sinus infection. Plenty of antibiotics on board, return Monday if still having fever. Test is rescheduled for Wednesday.

Tomorrow, our band returns to state championships to compete for their 5th consecutive state title. We are meeting up at 515, leaving town at 615 and performing at 10. Our championships are being held with 4A and 5A this year, so we’ll get to see some good stuff!

Bedtime for this old woman-4am will come early!!

  24. parrotmom says:

Good luck Clucky for the band. YOu all have a good evening and weekend.

  25. Mrs. H says:

Em, who had waist-length hair when she left here last weekend, showed up for homecoming with hair above her shoulders! I’m stunned! It’s in her suitcase waiting to be mailed out.

  26. parrotmom says:

That had to be a shock MrsH. I bet she is cute.

Went by to get my new book by Marshall, “Banjo’s Dream” Thank you Marshall for all you do and the motivation and drive that you share. We have to keep on movin.

  27. LegalEagle says:

Hello! BE fell off of his bicycle Tuesday night and finally decided last night that he needed to go to the emergency room. It looks like he’s torn a tendon in his shoulder. He fell forward a metal fence gate and put out his hand and the fence post caught him under the armpit.

  28. Clucky says:

    OUCH!

CardinalLady, Pontotoc is about to take the field! They made finals too! Our kids just finished their performance. 3 hours to sweat it out while simultaneously freezing our tails off at Pearl High School. Awards at 1030!

  29. parrotmom says:

Chiver me timbers. Wished I could bring you some heat Clucky.

  30. Clucky says:

    HOT CHOCOLATE TIME!!

    Pontotoc and Columbia were AMAZING!

  31. Clucky says:

The Pride of Union are now 5 time STATE CHAMPIONS!

And it’s Sunday afternoon. I can almost feel my legs!

  32. parrotmom says:
