  2. tank says:

    Morning! It’s John 3:16 day (March 16):
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

  3. cardinallady says:

Morning everybody!! I don’t have anything on my calendar and I’ve got to clean my office up or DEQ is going to require I get a permit to come into the place.

  4. It’s cold here in Chicago. Spring seems to have a hard time kicking Winter out. So I’m escaping to Florida on Sunday to barefoot water ski.

  11. OldBopper says:

H appy 3 pm. The boys made cupcakes this morning while I was out. After lunch we went to the playground. I learned that a park is a playground without a school. We went to the park first but it was so crowded we left and went to a playground. Then we rode bikes, then played with remote control cars till the batteries died. Now we are riding bikes again.

  12. OldBopper says:

    Dear Lord,

Please let me live long enough to experience peace, quiet, and calm surroundings again. And triple bless my friend Marshall and his wife. I don’t know how they keep their senses.

Don’t take me wrong Lord. I am blessed to have two very normal grandsons. I love them dearly. But I didn’t plan to give up my sanity for Lent.

    Thanks for listening Lord.

    Amen.

  13. Mrs. H says:

Mr. H was asked today how he would feel about working in Maine….

    MAINE!!!

I don’t think I’m ready for that any more than our eldest working in Alaska.

Hopefully, it won’t come to that. But Maine is definitely better than unemployment.

And the girls’ accents would be popular at school, at least for a while…

  14. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

    OB, you crack me up!

MrsH, that would be quite a change.

  15. pncpnthr says:

Evening, all. I’m thinking I never should have set up my work email on my phone. After dinner I just happened to glance…22 emails. Gonna be a long day tomorrow.

  16. dhcoop says:

    Anyone else watching AI?

  17. clucky says:

Not this chick. Facing a work dilemma. *sigh*

OB, it’s super quiet around here this week without Chicklette. Thing 1 is coming to stay the night tonight after work. Woohoo! (Even though I will already be asleep…)

  18. dhcoop says:

    Work dilemma is not good.

  19. parrotmom says:

Hey all!!!! Security system is all in tune, finally. Dish network :( received new receiver, cannot connect to satellite. So tech person coming out friday morning. PD not to happy, but no charge so ok.

MrsH, a southern girl in freezing cold Maine or as your daughter in Alaska on my. I hope your husband and family does not have to relocate. Although we will still be connected and what wonderful info could you give us from Maine.

  20. parrotmom says:

  21. msblondie says:

It isn’t to quiet around my house… C comes in between 1 and 2 am each morning due to her work schedule this week.. so I am not sleeping good. M is here and stays up till C gets home.

MrsH. Maine is very beautiful. I have family tht is still there. My parents went up a couple years ago to visit. It had been a while since Dad had seen some of them. Lobster is cheap up there too. hehe

  26. dhcoop says:

Long hard day today, so I’m calling it quit soon. My heart goes out to those in Japan. You think things are going bad for you, they could be far worse…

Love and hugs to all. Porch lights are on for those wandering around tonight.

  27. parrotmom says:

The cat’s just had a run through. I know they wished they were on the roof top. Nite lite is on. Love and hugs to all!!!

  28. OldBopper says:

Given a choice, I’d take Maine over Alaska. Maine is largely rural but close enough to urban areas to find good shopping. Biking would be limited. Swimming in the ocean there is only for the crazy folks. Learn to like root vegetables and New England sea food such as lobster, clams, but no decent shrimp, flounder, red fish, or crawfish. They do have excellent cuts of beef though, much better than we get down here.

Lived in New England for several years and must say we enjoyed it. Still prefer the South though.

He would need a 50% increase in salary to maintain your normal standard of living. Oh, and it ain’t many Southern Baptists up there either. Lots of Congregationalists.

  29. OldBopper says:

Good Thursday morning and Happy St. Patricks Day to all! It’s 5:55 am.

  30. parrotmom says:

Good Thursday morning. OB just hang in there and enjoy those boys.

  31. Mrs. H says:

I told Mr. H that if we move to Maine, we’d consider ourselves Southern Baptist missionaries.
I think it was God’s way of telling Mr. H that “no matter what happens at Huntington Ingalls Industries, I’ve got you covered.”

  32. dhcoop says:

Mornin! I woke up tired. Not good.

  33. dhcoop says:

Oh, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

  34. parrotmom says:

Happy St Patricks day to you all too. PD is 5 years out from the removal of his cancer from his tongue reconstructive surgery. I need to find something green to wear today. I have on black and white.. I think I have a couple of matching lizard pins I could wear. I have no clue why my mother had them, but I think they will compliment my attire for the day.

  35. OldBopper says:

Found this on the internet: Maine had about 283,024 Roman Catholics and an estimated 8,290 Jews in 2000. The leading Protestant denominations were the United Methodist Church, with 31,689 adherents; the United Church of Christ, 29,122; and the American Baptists USA, 26,259. The Muslim community had about 800 members. Over 800,000 people (about 63.6% of the population) were not counted as members of any religious organization.

  36. CornPop says:

    Good morning, Everyone!

Today may be St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s also my beautiful daughter’s 31st birthday! It seems like only yesterday when I was in labor with her and 14 hours later she was born – just under the wire of still being March 17th/St. Paddy’s Day – gracing our world with her presence at 11:30 p.m. Now she’s the Mama of two of her own children, with one being SugarPop who is almost 2 years old. :-D

Orville kept begging me to keep my legs crossed for two more days so our daughter would be born on his birthday, March 19th… Bet you can guess what I had to say about that! &*^&%(@#:!! NO! ;-)
