    Morning.

  2. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

Marshall, I hope you were able to go back to sleep!

    5:51 a.m.

  3. parrotmom says:

Good Morning to everyone!!! Happy Monday :) So sorry you were awake so early Marshall.

  4. parrotmom says:

by the way it is 5:57 am.

  5. Mrs. H says:

I didn’t sleep well last week. Since Mr. H returned, much better.

OB, yes that’s 2 white bikes for me, but both times I didn’t choose: it was what was available!! But that’s fine with me. This one even has a girlie-looking pink and black tattoo-like detail. (The previous owner, a large male SeaBee, thought it would peel off.)

  6. OldBopper says:

G’morning. Looks like another beautiful day in the neighborhood.

The Jewish celebration of Passover begins at sundown today. A Bible study group at our church has a Seder supper each year as part of their study. It is an interesting and important event. There’s a good article in USA Today about that. It’s not the lead story but found in the opinion section. Here’s the link: http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/forum/2011-04-18-column18_ST_N.htm

Hope everybody has a great start to this Holy Week.

  7. Barb says:

    7:02

    Morning!

  8. CluCky says:

    Mornin’.

I really hope MR wasn’t up at 0230 by choice; but then again, if he woke up at 0230 due to some crisis or misfortune, that is not a good thing.
Leaving in 5 minutes for work. Chicklette is amazed.

  9. LegalSec says:

    Mornin’!
I’m at work wishing it was 2:30 a.m. where I would be sound asleep. Sorry, Marshall, but thanks to that little “magic” pill, I sleep through the night. UNLESS, one of our dogs decides to sleep horizonally between us, then I’m awake moving the “horse” to the foot of our bed.
    Have a great week everyone!

  10. parrotmom says:

7:27 it’s going to be a really busy day. I hope everyone has a great day :) I hope I can find some time to check back later.

  11. Ann Onimous says:

Good morning, y’all. I had a very rough night: it’s going to take metric craploads of caffeine to keep me going today. I already have a Mountain Dew next to me, and access to all the coffee I can stand. It will be good. I hope.

  12. Marshall Ramsey says:

I was up because: 1. Dog. 2. Kid.
I went to bed at 12:30 and was restless until 2:30. Dog’s sugar was too high and kid woke up crying. Went back to bed at 3 and got up at 5.

I’ve had two Diet Mountain Dews and a big thing of green tea.

    • Ann Onimous says:

I had a kid whose sugar was too high and a dog who decided she was sleeping with us last night. So between being up every two hours testing blood glucose and ketones and the furry butt warmer, sleep did not come easily last night.

      • Marshall Ramsey says:

Sounds like we were in bizarro universes last night. Wish I could test banjo, but he makes it pretty well known when his sugar is out of whack.

        • Ann Onimous says:

That’s what I was thinking, about bizarro universes. LilO was guilty of being a stubborn, headstrong preteen yesterday: therefore the high BG. There’s no way you can test him?

  13. Pncpnthr says:

Working on 3rd cup of coffee.

  14. OldBopper says:

    There’s an event coming up:
    http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=147346448666396

It’s the Muscular Distrophy Association “Derby for Distrophy” to be held at the Congress Street Bar & Grill, next to Basil’s at 7 pm, Saturday, May 7.

I think the Boss may be there. Also, I am informed that a year’s supply of Blue Bell ice cream will be auctioned off. Sooooooooooo, I want to take this opportunity to open the bid at $250.00 .

Y’all put it on your calendar. It will be a great event!

  15. Clucky says:

Would love to be there OB, but that’s the day I’ll be spending the night at St D flat on my back :(

  16. Mrs. H says:

OB, Mr. H discovered that my new bike’s seat was in the highest position yesterday. I may not have to wait for the lowering block after all! O Happy Day!

  17. tank says:

morning gang. I am so thankful everyone was okay after the storms. I hated not having internet to check on everyone.
the “hamburger” guy they showed on channel 16 has cracked me up all weekend. they have the video on youtube.

thanks for all the b’day wishes. I had a really good day. my daughter bought me a couple of flats of annuals so we set those out late morn (after my head stopped spinning from the vertigo). then hubby and I went to Tabella for supper. It was excellent, service and food. robert st. john came strolling through too.

got a lot of work to catch up on. y’all have a good day.

  18. msblondie says:

morning gang! got to work early today not knowing what all I would find with power going out on Friday. For the most part all machines were working. or I have been able to get them back up and working. So have been busy. I too need to find some extra caffine this morning.

Coop: thanks for the offer of Rosemary.. but I have some from last year. I just repotted it yesterday. I am amazed the winter didn’t kill it.

Well lots to do.. so best get busy.

  19. dhcoop says:

Blondie, rosemary is typically a perennial in MS if it’s in the ground. I put one small one in my yard 3 years ago and it’s now about 3 ft tall and as wide. If it’s in a pot, it is more vulnerable to freezing. You might want to find a place in your yard to put it and let it do it’s thing. Mine is blooming pretty purple flowers right now.

  20. cardinallady says:

Morning. Parrotmom, I want you to know that I have been praying for you and yours. The tornado videos are scary and awesome at the same time. My cousin lives in North Carolina where the big ones hit, Carey is a suburb of Raliegh, so they haven’t had much fun either. They were at their lake house when it hit. She called her mom and said she was going to the storm shelter in the country club. She texted her sis and said they were okay.

    • cardinallady says:

Don’t know if it did damage to her house yet. Her son is on spring break and I think they are just going to stay put and deal with it later.

  21. Molly says:

Mornin. Kiddo is home sick. She thought she would feel better as the day progressed, but the bumpy bus ride to school and her unhappy tummy didn’t go well together. I picked her up at school just moments after she got off the bus there.
We went to Clinton Friday when I couldn’t get my parents on the phone. The houses on the street behind them are gone. The houses and apartments just a street or 2 in front of them are heavily damaged. And trees are on houses just down their street. But they were practically unscathed. One window was blown out, but it was a garage window. They thought they had roof damage, but it appears the shingles in the yard are from other houses. It is amazing how it just jumped right over them. They got electricity back around 8 Saturday night.

  22. msblondie says:

coop: thanks for the advice. i will have to find a spot in the yard for it. maybe once i get some flower beds cleaned out (rid of).

molly: glad your parents are ok. sorry for a sick kiddo though.

  23. The Real JB says:

Speaking of the hamburger guy…they could put that to music like they did the “Rapist in Lincoln Park” video on youtube.

Somebody can make that guy famous.

Why do they let people on the TV who they know are going to be goofy…I’m sure that is the point.

  24. Airwolf says:

Hey folks! Slept late and had an eye doctor Appt. Got new glasses! Eye’s are dialated, can’t see very well.

I hope everyone has a great day.

  25. Molly says:

Checked on Kiddo at lunch. She’s feeling better, but apparently not well enough to go on to school. Imagine that!
Remember me telling you about Kiddo’s BFF whose father has a horrible temper and gets extremely angry at his daughter for nothing, yelling, screaming, knocking holes in walls? Well…now he’s done it. He got mad this weekend and punched her. Her grandparents have temporary custody and they are going to court today. I hope he loses all parental rights and gets his butt thrown in jail too.

    • Crystalbutterfly says:

I am sorry that it had to come to him hurting her why can’t the courts step in soon, but I am glad that she was not hurt seriously or killed.

    • msblondie says:

I am glad the grandparents are here and were able to take her. I too hate it came to him hitting her. That is just so wrong. I hope turns out for the best for this child.

    • dhcoop says:

That’s awful, Molly! I’m glad she’s safe now though.

  26. Crystalbutterfly says:

    hey all!!
sorry about all the sleeplessness in this group know how you feel I wake up at least 2 or 3 times every night

  27. Mrs. H says:

We had to rent a small U-Haul to take all those clothes to Leakesville. Our trailer wasn’t big enough to get them all in.

  28. parrotmom says:

    Congrats to you AnnO :)

Molly that is so sad, but at least it is getting her away from him. No childdor adult should be hit on whether female or male. I hope kiddo gets better soon.

  29. Airwolf says:

    Congratulations AnnO!!

  30. Mrs. H says:

The GC baseball game was postponed Friday night. They are playing tonight. El was asked to sing again, but on the way to school this morning, she remembered that she was supposed to turn in a science project today. Oops! She’ll have to work on it tonight. I’ll offer the gig to Em, who was miffed that she didn’t get the chance last week, but had a spend the night party planned that night.

  31. parrotmom says:

Home at last and finished with PD and the Parrot I need to get some extra work done and balance the check book. I couldn’t do it Saturday not sure why I think I can do it today.

  32. parrotmom says:

MsB, I found the reset button and turned the UPS back on and it was just a whistling and it sure wasn’t dixie. Does that mean it is shot?

  33. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

    Watching DWTS.

  34. msblondie says:

PM: yeah.. if you reset it and it is still making a noise then the battery in it or the circuit in it fried.. but it did its job and protected your computer stuff. It will be best to just get a new one. Sorry about that. But a $100 UPS is better than a couple of Grand on computer equipment. Keep your receipt cause you might can claim it next year on taxes.

Trying to help M with history homework.. getting ready for state test next week. She also has to build a solar system in Spanish for Spanish class. And a report for English.. All these and Prom is Thursday night… I am going insane.

  35. parrotmom says:

Thanks MsB with my videographer business I know I can.

  36. parrotmom says:

I also noticed yesterday when walking back across hwy 80 we did have damage to our privacy fence several of the metal post are bent and the fence is leaning into the backyard. I will call for an adjuster to come and check it out. Will See?

  37. Barb says:

    AnnO, congrats on the job!!

Molly, at least she is out of a horrible situation. Just wish it could have been before she was hurt!!

We had a grand reopening today after our major remodel a couple of weeks ago. I was not allowed to do any actual work, so it was a very long day. I worked 9-7. Calling it a night because I get up very early tomorrow. Off at 3:00 and don’t have to be back until Sunday!! Yay!!!! Took a special holiday.

Have a good nite and better sleep!

  38. parrotmom says:

Barb, I hope your back is better. So sorry for the long hours, but so glad you have a long weekend :)

  39. dhcoop says:

Having a bit of trouble with signal tonight.

Porch lights are on. Good night.

  40. Ann Onimous says:

Thanks for the congratulations. I’m excited, anxious and a little frightened, but I’ll be supervising one incredible group and I’m looking forward to it all.

  41. clucky says:

Ann, I am so happy for you!

I took a minute to get my ‘do on. I love my hair short :)

    G’nite. I am tired.

  42. parrotmom says:

10:25 nite lite is on. I missed placed my glasses. So glad I found them.

  43. Mrs. H says:

As it turns out, the bike is already in the lowest position. I have a couple of options: 1) lower the bike with a block that brings the suspension down; or 2) learn to hang my rear end slightly off the left side when I stop, when means the bike ALWAYS has to be in 1st gear when I stop, because I can’t change gears with my foot on the ground.

In other news: I think I’ve got the hang of this sock thing!! After several false starts and watching at least 8 videos to make sure I understood what the book was telling me, my orange sock is actually taking shape. Which is why I’m still up at 12:10 a.m. If I stopped in the middle of the heel part, it would be ANOTHER false start.

    Night all…..

  44. blues4you says:

    4:45am

Good morning…up for work related issues since 3:00.

Congratulations anno….it’s great to see good news that is job related.

    Everyone have a safe day.
