Mornin!
I’m up.
I’m bummed! There is no milk to go in my coffee and I need to write a blog post, but Blogger is down and I can’t sign in. I’ve written the post in notepad, so I don’t loose the idea, but I want it out there! I’m having tea and frustration for breakfast!
Good morning! There will be 5 girls in addition to my own 3 here tonight. Mr. H and I will seek sanctuary in our own room.
The way your morning has started you may want to re-think the evening. LOL! Hope you have a better rest-of-the-day! :)
IT’S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND BOTH OF MY “BOYS” WILL BE HOME TONIGHT!!!!
Oh, my, what’s for dinner?
Go State!
It is muggly outside!
Mawin’. Out of milk here too, but ran to the store real quickly and got some more. There are some advantages to living in town.
Good morning.
Got plenty of milk here, but only enough coffee to make half a pot.
I’m making my favorite chocolate cake today. (El had strawberry cupcakes for her actual birthday, so I’m making a cake I want!) I’m also experimenting with rye sourdough. We’ll see how that turns out. Now I’m off to the store for supplies (and some cinder blocks to use as an inexpensive terrarium stand for El’s turtles which will be arriving this weekend, courtesy of the boyfriend of the eldest.)
What kind of turtles MrsH? I want another turtle myself and a snake. My dogs nor cats haven’t run upon one lately. I think my cats ran a little one in the hole yesterday.
Mornin. Been REALLY busy at work and havent’ had a chance to check in. Hope all are doing reasonably well.
MrsH, sounds like you are having a Friday the 13th!
Kiddo and I are going to the TRAIN concert tonight. That should be fun.
good morning to everyone. MrsH it can only get better, or at least I hope so :)
Milk, coffee thank goodness I have me some Diet Dr. Peppers in the fridge a chillin!!
Congrats to Stacy on her winning. I hope all of you have a wonderful time at the concert and the zoobrew this weekend.
Thought for the day: “If you’re gonna play in Texas, you gotta have a fiddle in the band.”
Our senior Brandon Day picnic has been moved into City Hall because of the weather predictions. Now I may get to finish that and still get to the free movie in Pearl at 1:00. They are showing Fair Game, something about Shaun Penn’s protest against the war in Iraq and his wife espionage background. I have no idea if it’s any good and since the picnic in Brandon is at 11:30, it would probably be cutting it close anyway.
MrsH, may the Force be with you!
Good morning. Blitz and donner (lightening and thunder) with a gentle rain. Nice and cool! Hope everyone has a great day!
morning gang! hope all have a great day! be glad when the rain gets here.. my head is about to explode from the pressure changes.
Morning all. Yesterday was a long, tiring, and emotional day as we laid to rest one of our THP troopers. This was a hard way to get indoctrinated as a chaplain for them.
((((jb))))
Thanks Coop. Your sweet and you have cute feet. Hey, that rhymed
ZOMG I AM AT SAL AND MOOKIES and just shot Peach Rum Punch outta my NOSE!! ROFLOL!!!
My sympathy for all bereaved. I am sure you were a great help to those who needed it.
Thanks Barb. You are the nicest Ole Miss fan I know.
You’re welcome and thank you. But, was that a dig at Pnc?!j/k
Soon to get started on some yard work.
Son’s last day of high school is today. :( They grow up too fast.
Hotty Toddy! If he wants a GOOD education!!!
Over my dead rotting body!
That rhymed too, JB. If you ever lose your insurance job you can be a poet.
yes they do!!!
Morning for a few more minutes everybody. I’ve been flitting aroun trying to wrap some things up this morning before my board meeting. Just got back from that. The most unproductive one news wise I’ve attended in awhile. Now I’ve got to go to South Pontotoc for an inside beach party. That aught to be fun don’t you think?
When I left here yesterday (at 7 p.m.) I went home and shut the chickens up because they were already in bed and got my peppers, tomatoes and sweet potatoes in the ground. I finished at 8:30 and the chuck-o’wills were calling from the woods. So I spent a few minutes swinging in the moonlight, breathing in the honeysuckle laden air and listening to their night songs.
The other day Jon and I were talking about the baccalaurete services coming up Sunday in our church. Has it been a year already? he asked. He can’t believe how fast the year has gone. I can’t believe how fast 20 years have flown. He is feeling the pains of “growing up”.
Why couldn’t they do this when I was riding the bus…

You would have probably been the one kicked off. :) j/k bless your heart.
I think they need to open a Newk’s in the boys’ neighborhood with an extra large vat of capers to fuel those boys along in their education.
hey all. have a great weekend. bye all.
My wife just called devestated…two kids from their school were killed today in an auto accident. It was senior day so these freshman had gotten permission to leave early. She has taught or teaches their siblings.
So sorry for your wife and all the kids. Prayers for the families and friends left behind.
Oh dear, jb!! That’s awful!
That’s horrible, JB. I was about to say you needed a double hug, but now you need a triple hug to share with your wife.
JB I am so sorry to hear that I agree with LE you need lots of hugs to share with your family
C-Lady, I’ll have to inquire about the turtles. One of them is over 10 years old. They are both aquatic.
BE got up at 5:30 this morning and went fishing with the intent of being back here in plenty of time to clean up and go to the picnic at 11:30. By 11:00 I had decided there was no use in his trying to make it, so I called him and told him to stay put and have fun. I went to the picnic and stood in line for 30 minutes and got us both a plate, brought them home, scarffed up my burger and went to the Pearl Library and watched “Fair Game.” He’s still not back from fishing and after enjoying popcorn and a drink at the movie, I have now cut the fresh strawberry pie I made last night and chilled and am having a piece of it.
Wow you guys have been busy today while I am outside working. I am just now getting to the weedeating and to mow. Maybe will be through by 7:00 pm. It is now 5:15 pm. everyone have a great evening.
Evenin!
Down in Gtown for the evening. Big Sis isn’t here though, so I’m just going to borrow her satellite tv and computer. heh
Enjoy it while you can!!
Evening. Decided to take a ride over to Pelahatchie on Old Hwy 80 after the news tonight. Just as I was getting to the downtown area, it started raining. I made a quick dash to a service station/quick stop to get some cover. About an hour later after lots of rain, some hail, and a few loud claps of thunder, I was on my way back to Brandon. Got back about 8 pm.
Working my way up to an interstate trip to V’burg and over to Clinton and down and up the Trace. I’m comfortable at 65 mph. Have hit 70 a few times but not for sustained lengths. Boule gives a sweet ride and I love the heel/toe shifter!
PQ is coming back from Arkansas on Sunday. I think I will be glad to see her. ;~D
I finished the front yard at 6:45 pm. came in and dried up some sweat changed shirts and headed to Home Depot to buy some outside paint for PD’s cousin to start painting. I think I have 5 cans of brush and 4 bags of magnolia leaves to the street. I need to hit the back yard just as hard tomorrow. Sunday will be my break day as I go to the Avian Bird show at the trademart. I don’t expect much, but at least to purchase some food for my Parrot.
OB, you be safe!
PM, I’ll bet you’ll enjoy the bird show!
I’ve enjoyed my Friday evening alone playing on the computer, watching tv, etc. Big Sis is coming home tomorrow and bringing her oldest grandbabe (only girl…so far…) to stay a few days. I plan to be here to meet them.
OB, I worry about you on that thing, but I guess you know what you are doing. I just get the heebeejeebees when someone I care about is on a “bike” (that includes you, MrsH, and my nephew (Cub), and all my other friends that ride). Not that y’all don’t know what you are doing…it’s just everyone else on the road that makes me worry.
Another student involved in the accident just died.
JB, prayers for that family, not to mention what you are all dealing with. This time of the year has so many happenings due to young people feeling so invinsible :(
Coop so glad you are enjoying some fun things tonight. I hope Molly, Kiddo, Stacey, and Clucky are enjoying their evening out. I am so tired and am hurting so bad. I can only wish for a peaceful night of sleep. I still have more yard stuff to take care of. I will just see if it gets done!
I am so sorry to hear of the tragedy your school has suffered. (((jb)))
We (I) won a pair of tickets to ZooBrew tonight. We drove thru hail to get there. Good time. Now qt Sal & Mookies for late supper then home. To the coast tomorrow to see the in-laws. This one’s gonna be tough.
Love y’all. Play sweet, as OB used to say.
I’m going through pics and realizing that my grandbabe (Bug) is just a couple of months younger than I was than when I had her mother. Reality. Check. Bigtime.
Really. I have a child (my one and only Baby Girl) that will be 35 years old in a month? Really??? Goodness…where has the time gone. And I’m looking through pictures of my eldest grandbabe (Bug), and she’s just two months younger than I was when I had her mother?? Really??? Yep.
Excuse me while I go digest some reality.
Oh, and yes…they do grow up too fast (in response to the earlier comment)
Saturday, May 14, 2011, 4:55 a.m.
Good morning! First!
5/14/11, 4:50 a.m.
First! Good morning! And wake up Son of Pluck. You ate my first comment and now I hope you’re full.
Oh, SOP, I haven’t even had a sip of coffee yet. Don’t start screwing with me this early.
I’m commisserating with Coop about how fast time flies and how fast children grow up. And reality check: my 50th high school class reunion is coming up June 3rd and 4th. Where did the time go?
Mornin!
WTH? Warm and muggy yesterday morning and cool and damp today. Oh well. This IS Mississippi, after all.
