    wow – first? at 6:39AM
Been up since before 4. M and the Terry Youth Group (29 in all) left for NYC this morning. They will be gone all week for Mission trip.

Will be heading in to work shortly.

    Everyone have a great day!

  2. Mrs. H says:

All my little chickens are home…at least for a week or so. Then they’ll be off to more camps. This summer is incredibly busy.

  3. parrotmom says:

Good morning at 6:54 am. Thankfully I had the snooze set several times on my phone. It took three times before I ever heard my alarm this morning. Then I refresh this page only to be disappointed when I could not find Friday’s FFA :(

Hope you all have a good day. MsB you and I are in for one long day I hope we can make the best of it.

  4. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’ y’all. Worked outside most of yesterday and probably will again today. Just drinking lots and lots of water.

  5. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

Well, my day started off a bit squirrelly this morning. I stayed down in Gtown last night, and as I was heading to work my oil light came on. I wasn’t too far from my BIL’s Mom’s house and I was needing to take his truck for an inspection sticker, so I looped by there, parked my sickly vehicle and drove his truck on in to town. I’ll have to deal with my truck this weekend. I just had oil changed recently, so I don’t know what’s up. I’m just lucky I had the option to borrow their vehicle and was so close to the house when it happened!

Hope everyone has a great day!

  6. Mrs. H says:

Wow, Coop. A blessing to someone and a rescue for yourself at the same time. Nicely done :)

  7. Ann Onimous says:

Morning! We’re at UMC: IG is getting a scan done.

  8. msblondie says:

have a deal to share: Home Depot has 2-20lb bags of Kingsford Charcoal for $7.97 – with it being BBQ season this is a great deal – that $4.00 a bag (but have to buy the 2 for the deal)

  9. parrotmom says:

MsB thats a good deal on charcoal! I sort of recall the day when we cooked out a lot on the grill.

AnnO I hopr IG’d test come back clear, prayers for both of you.

Coop so glad you hab an alternate ride this morning. I hope your truck only has a minor problem and nothing too expensive.

    OB stay hydrated and cool.

I wonder if Aw still has Bear around to entertain,

  10. Airwolf says:

Morning, up at the farm with Bear.

  11. tank says:

    hey folks.
can’t thank you all enough for the prayers. hubby is coming home this morning. I came on in to work and my daughter is there w/him and will take him home.
prayers for all of those in need right now.
does everyone know what a pounding is or is that just a baptist thing? we just had a pounding for an “older” (40+, now that’s older for a first time marriage) co-worker who’s getting married. this is his first time and hers too. I slipped a jar of baby food into my bag. it got a good laugh!
    y’all have a great day.

  12. Barb says:

Hope the scan is good, AnnO.
OB, please stay hydrated…this heat is dangerous!
Coop, glad you were close to help this morning.

  13. parrotmom says:

I think PD is getting his ducks in a row to get tossed out on his ear. I did talk to the case worker again this morning about the unprofessionalism of this doctor not seeing and explaining what is going on or his intents by not seeing the patient since Sunday and then to say have a good day at that point. also I think unprofessional for the nurse practioner to tell patient he is going home the following week when the doctor has not been consulted?

  14. Legal Eagle says:

Ann, I home IG’s scan is good.

Coop, I know you were relieved that the oil light came on where it did. I remember the day I came off the interstate and coasted into a gas station out of gas.

tank, I’m glad Mr. Tank’s surgery is over and he’s on the mend. And Parrotmom, I hope PD gets to come home and gets straightened out soon. The idea of a doctor being incommunicado is ridiculous.

Y’all please keep both my daughters in your prayers. They are now both in the process of divorce.

I’m off to play bridge with “my” Pearl group today so I will be AFK for a while.

  15. Mrs. H says:

I know what a pounding is, but then I’m a baptist, too!

    Keep after them, PM.

    Prayers for your daughters, Leagle.

    And for IG, AnnO.

  16. Barb says:

When was pounding brought up? I must have missed that, but, I was raised a Baptist also, so I do know what it is.

  17. parrotmom says:

waiting for Apria to show up about a bed for PD at the house.

  18. dhcoop says:

Someone needs to explain what a pounding is. I was raised Methodist.

I am at the doctors office. Apparently I have a Great Big hernia. About to have a test to see how big

  19. tank says:

wonder if th (aka jb) has ever been pounded?

  20. OldBopper says:

Coop, before you drive your truck, check the oil. I assume you know how to do that. If it is low, check under the truck to see if there is a puddle of oil under it. It could be the filter was not put on correctly and is leaking oil. It’s summertime and many oil change places have hired young men who’s only aim in life is to “get lucky”. Everything else is secondary.

Anyway, if there is a leak and you still have oil in the motor, you ought to get a quart of oil and put it in to see if the oil light goes off. If the light goes off, get it to a place quickly that can change your oil again if necessary. Maybe they can just tighten up on the filter or perhaps the screw that holds the oil pan on and hopefully that will solve your problem.

  21. The Real JB says:

Been pounded a few times in my day.

  22. OldBopper says:

Just made a discovery. One saddle bag will hold six bottles of wine and one water bottle. Have company coming tomorrow night.

  23. Legal Eagle says:

You know I’ve been around since before the forest petrified and grew up in the Baptist church and don’t recall ever hearing the term “pounding” before. I’ve heard of house warmings and in the Episcopal church when someone moves into a new house, they often have a blessing of the house.

  24. dhcoop says:

Well, crap. Doc was wrong. GI didn’t show a hernia. Back to square one.

  25. msblondie says:

Coop: have them check your gall bladder if you still have it. took the doc a week to figure out that was my problem – the signs were weird.

M did let me know they made it to NYC with no problems. They should be helping with the soup kitchen about now (one of several they will be working with this week) – fixing sandwiches and bags of food to take to a couple of the parks to hand out. Tomorrow I know they help with the Teen or Team Challenge Worship Services along with lots of other things. They have a very very full schedule this week.

well everyone have a good evening. I think I am going to bed early tonight – I am worn out.

  26. parrotmom says:

I have heard of poundings but never been a part of one.

Coop so sorry they are back at square one :(

Was Clucky supposed to have found out anything Monday or was that just a meet and greet with the doctor.

Prayers for LegalE’s daughters and everyone else in need.

PD will either becoming home tomorrow or no later than Saturday. Will have a bed here tomorrow afternoon for him. Question….. Do they furnish sheets or do I need to buy some? What size? I have never been through this part before.

  27. pncpnthr says:

Really bummed out tonight. It looks as though I may not get to go on my vacation after all. Guess I’ll just hang around here.

  28. Molly says:

Hey. I know what a pounding is and I’m not Baptist or Church of God!
Kiddo is in Louisiana for a few days. That kid has been on the go all summer. Hope she is enjoying it; next summer she better be working!

  29. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

About to read about all of the scripts I got today to “motivate” my intestines into working properly. Yay me!

PM, who is providing the bed? You should check with them.

    Praying for everyone, including myself.

And withholding comment on jb getting pounded. I don’t EVEN want to know! LOL

  30. parrotmom says:

Coop I feel for you and the scripts you have. when will you have further testing since it was not a hernia?

  31. dhcoop says:

Soon, PM. Have to talk to the doc.

I’m headed to bed soon. Good night!
