Morning. Sometimes I hate being a “responsible adult”. I’d like to run up & down the street, throwing a tantrum to get my way.

Been itching to go to the panhandle of Florida. Looked at the Boss’ picture the other day and my pictures of when we were there in September. Nothing wrong with crowds if you like that sort of thing, but the quiet private feel of the beach in September is mighty restful.
and hopefully a little cooler but not always the case in September either.
It was a work trip. So I couldn’t exactly pick the date. I usually like the beach at dawn, but we weren’t on the beach, so I had to go when I could.
Made it in. Having a bite of oatmeal.

*whispering* It’s Monday for me, too, Barb. My tailfeathers are dragging. Two Monday’s in a week aren’t fun. Plus I haven’t slept the past three nights. This morning at 3:30 I finally figured out why, I’m cutting back on the ibuprofin and aspirin to see how my tail feels. It’s still there, just not as hurtful as before.

Hey guys! If I don’t pop my head back in, have a safe and fun 4th of July. We’re taking Butterbean and Sprout down to Louisiana to spend the week with their grandparents. They are excited, but it is their first trip without parents away from home.

Got a call from the fraud division of our credit card. Nope, that charge was not done by Mr. H or myself, so they are cancelling that number and issuing new cards. I guess someone was trying it out with something small: $11.48. Glad it didn’t get any farther.
why did an $11 charge send a red flag to the credit card company? I’m glad it did, but am surprised.
office closed for the day. yippee :)
lunch was fair. visitinh with PD for now and home shortly then back later and finally home sometime tomorrow
I know that I’ve been MIA for a while, but all is well. Orville just finished his maintenance chemo then picked up gyros from Keifer’s & we had lunch together at my office since I could leave today (yummy!). He continues to improve, gaining weight (in his case that’s a good thing) & will have another PET scan before his next treatment in 2 months. It should show that the lymphoma continues to remain under control. :-)
VIVA LAS VEGAS! That’s what Orville and I will be singing come Tuesday because we’re ‘leaving on a jet plane’ to spend 5 days in Vegas, Baby! Have two shows already lined up (& paid for) the rest of the time will be spent doing what we feel like…maybe a little gambling, too, so wish us luck! We can’t wait to get away for a much deserved and needed vacation. :-D

Finally found M a car!! It will be here next week. Not her first choice of color, but I got what we could find. Now just to have a payment again.. argh….

They cut us loose a little early, so I went and visited with Friend and G and played in the garden. We’ve got cucumbers out the ears! Squash is coming in nicely, too. I’m going to have to take some of those to cook for my boys next week.
Going to the lake in the morning to see the Ghost. It’s been a while, so he’ll either ignore me, bite me, or love on me. We’ll see.
