Good morning!  Sorry this is late. I’m taking the next three days off to recover and recharge (I’ll still be on the radio, thought.)

OB, it was me that caused it this morning!!

    • Mrs. H says:

Here’s what I just posted on the Tuesday FFA:

We have no water at our house. The pump motor was hot and no pressure. We don’t see an obvious leak anywhere and the usual culprits (ants) usually cause the opposite problem: they interfere with the contacts so the motor won’t kick on at all. This seems to be just the opposite. It ran until it overheated.

The church’s next door neighbor is the local water well expert, so as soon as he’s finished with his first job, he’ll check out ours.

Mrs H I hate being without water our lines in CS are so old that we had 4 main water line breaks in 3 weeks in Jan and Feb, so now I keep water in jugs I just pour it out and refill them every few weeks to keep it fresh

  2. Crystalbutterfly says:

    hey all!!!!
MR that is ok that you are late we all have days like that I get to work early because MML and I ride together and she has to be here 30 minutes before me, but Friday I punched in late because I was talking to someone and let time slip by it was only 3 minutes and I am not late very often so nothing was said.

  3. msblondie says:

    morning gang!
I think lots were running late this morning or were late. I-55 South -Northbound had 3 wrecks this morning. It looked like the first spawned the 2nd and the 2nd the 3rd. It all started at the McDowell Exit… I had that interchange cause people are stupid at it.

Well everyone have a good day!

  4. Mrs. H says:

MsB, it always amazes me how carelessly people drive their vehicles. We get in and go into auto-pilot mode and don’t really pay attention. Riding my motorcycle has really opened my eyes.

  5. Mrs. H says:

Mr. H reports that we have water again. Hooray!!!

  6. msblondie says:

Mrs. H so true. I wish they would do McDowell OnRamp like the have Woodrow Willson. People come up to cut over 3 lanes to take State St or I20 W exit. When they could just go down Terry Rd or Galantin to get on and not nearly kill someone. I like when they had State St closed off of 55S. The cautous courtsey driver is no more.

  7. OldBopper says:

Uh, oh. Turned the hose on and off a while ago and laid the nozzle in a bed of ferns by the back door. As I came back to go to the back door, I heard a lot of buzzing, looked down and saw hundreds of yellow jackets attacking the hose.

I’ll get rid of them tonight and just hope they don’t get disturbed before then and attack someone. A hive got after me a few years ago and stung me almost 50 times before I could get PQ to hose me down. Fortunately I’m not allergic to them.

  8. The Real JB says:

Son is helping coach a travel baseball team and they are in a tourney in Atlanta. He has been to 4 Braves games. Jealous. They won game 1 yesterday and just started game 2.

Just sitting here working on some quotes. I’ve started staying late on Tuesday nights and doing some telemarketing. Just calling AAA members so it is not too hostile. It has been generating business for me though.

  9. Airwolf says:

Afternoon, I’ve been cleaning up the debri in my yard and mowing. It’s hotter than who’d have it!

  10. blues4you says:

    Hey folks.

I’m back at work and d@^% proud to be here, too.

  11. Molly says:

Hello. The puppies have exhumed Roller Dog’s body! He was buried behind the shed in the back yard and we couldn’t see what they were up to. With the dry conditions and hard red clay, the grave wasn’t very deep. Hubby saw at one point that they were digging in the area and put concrete paving stones over the grave. That didn’t deter the little diggers; they just went in from the side. Roller Dog’s body was wrapped in heavy duty plastic which was tied at each end. They dug out the end where his head was and untied the bag so his little face was showing. Roller Dog has been reburied a bit deeper and concrete poured over his grave. They shouldn’t be able to get to him this time. We had wondered why they smelled so bad every time they came in. Now we know. Apparently, they are training to be cadaver dogs.

  12. Mrs. H says:

Did you know that you can video chat through FB now? I saw that it was in the works and Mark just gave us a demonstration. If you click on someone in your chat, it should show you a camera icon. You may have to download something and call back (as well as the other person doing the same), but it’s pretty cool!

  13. Barb says:

    Afternoon all!!

  14. pncpnthr says:

Evening. Loooonnnnngggg day at work. I’m ready for my time off in less than two weeks, even if I don’t get to go to the beach.

  15. parrotmom says:

Molly so glad you found what the twin pups had been digging at before they completely unburried him/her.

    I am so tired :(

PNC I hope you do get to go to the beach in two weeks everyone else seems to have been :)

  16. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

Molly, that had to be tough to deal with!

I’m Ghost-sitting again tonight. His daddy will be home tomorrow and I know he’ll be glad.

Sitting here watching ET and can’t believe the new reality show “DanceMoms”. Just how low can reality tv go??

  17. parrotmom says:

“Dance Mom’s” is that the one where they have there small daughters in a dance class? I saw the scenes and thought how horrible. Children and teens already have it tough enough to try and be the best and the prettiest!!

  18. parrotmom says:

We had a very light shower in Clinton, but lite is better than none.

  19. OldBopper says:

Another good baseball night. Mbraves losing 3-2 in top of 6th.

  20. Mrs. H says:

Em is driving home in the dark for the first time tonight.

  21. parrotmom says:

I hope she made/makes it home safely.

nite lite is on see all your smiling faces tomorrow :)

  22. clucky says:

Mornin’. Planned to get up early, but its 452, and I have been awake since 3am. Sigh. I’ll be getting a shower and hitting the road soon. Those of you on fb can see my recent pic post of the bad tire and see why I am so grateful I have a company vehicle. Which, btw, is now a white Taurus instead of a pickup truck :) I like it. Nice car, solid, gets good mileage, and room to stretch a little. I know they are (for the most part) reliable cars. It may be what I get “when I grow up.” I love my Miata, but really….a car that will hold more than 2 medium adults, 1 small suitcase and a 12 pack of cokes would be a delight~!

I know I have asked for a lot of prayers lately for health for family, etc., and I need to ask again. I am just really feeling down, out and overwhelmed lately. I need a little peace in my heart; I feel like I am on the edge of cliff (think: Grand Canyon) and the least little breeze is going to knock me over the edge. I’m at my wit’s end on so many fronts I don’t know if I’m coming or going most of the time. The only time I feel halfway comfortable at work is if I am not getting reprimanded for something (real or perceived). The economy is killing me, and I am in such a state of confusion about work right now I don’t know what to do. I thank God he put me in a profession that I can use most anywhere, but I feel like I have done whatever it was I was supposed to do where I am, but I have no clue where to go with my next step. Ideally, I would be in Pass Christian, caring for my Mother in Law, but that is financially impossible-and what a shame that is. I know God will show me where I need to be, I just hope I’m not looking the other way at the time. I am a good nurse, dangit, and I know what I am doing is not what I am meant to do for the rest of my life. I am seeing openings left and right for L&D nurses, which was THE reason I got into nursing, but have never had the opportunity to work in that area since I graduated from nursing school. I have yet to find a hospital that will hire a L&D nurse without L&D experience, but as much as I have always felt drawn to it, I wonder if now I might have a chance. These gray hairs on my head may be to my benefit for a change. We’ll see. I’m just praying and listening for that still, small voice to SCREAM AT ME.
I hope everyone has a good day..I’m rather enjoying the 4 day work week, even tho I was working at 10 last night, and up at 3 this morning. I see a nap in my future. Y’all play nice and have a good day. Marshall, enjoy your recharge. Good luck with that.

  23. parrotmom says:

Morning world and prayers for you Clucky?

  24. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

Praying for you Cluckster! (((((((Cluckypoo)))))))) :)

I have a very unhappy Ghost on my hands. He doesn’t understand why I won’t let him back out even though it’s light outside. I’m afraid if I do, he’ll pull one of his disappearing acts and make me late for work. It’s going to be enough of a challenge just getting my stuff out to the truck without him making a dash for the door. I told him his Daddy will be home tonight, but he doesn’t seem to care. He’s tried to bite me twice already. Ungrateful beast…

  25. parrotmom says:

Coop so sorry for the troubles with Ghost. They just want it there way and no other way will do. LOL!!!!!
