    Mornin.

    Ditto, Marshall

Slept in and it felt good.

  2. Mrs. H says:

    Good morning.
    ((((Clucky & Mr. Fab))))

  3. Airwolf says:

    Morning!
Prayers for Mr. Fab and family!

  4. dhcoop says:

MrsH, I’m sorry I forgot about your and Rexi’s Mom and MrH’s Dad. I knew I was forgetting some things, but I should have remembered. That reminds me GigiB lost her Mom too.

And I messed up that SusanQ was TaterTot’s mom and can’t remember what we called Tigger’s wee one.

I just remembered Cornpop lost a Grandmother and I think Orville did too.

What it boils down to is we’ve all shared some good times and bad times. I’d like to think more good than bad, though. Maybe y’all can help me remember other things I’ve left off.

    • Airwolf says:

My father in-law and my brothers.

      • dhcoop says:

I was just thinking about that Airwolf. I remembered your FIL after posting, but had not remembered your brothers. I’m sorry.

    • CornPop says:

You’re right and thank you, Coop! Orville lost his grandmother Jan. 10 2010, suffered for 9 months then was diagnosed with the BIG C, lost his brother just before Thanksgiving 2010, and I lost my 100 y/o granbdmother this past January. All of you have been there for me, too, and I am so grateful to be a part of this group!

By heart hurts for Mr Fab, Poppy and Clucky! May God wrap you in His warm embrace and may all of you find solace in the knowledge that she’s at peace now in a better place.

      • CornPop says:

And the first time I ‘met’ all of you was shortly after I had found out that my son tested HIV+. I was in a real bad place in dispair and Coop introduced me to the MRBA and encouraged me to talk to you. I can’t thank her enough and I feel truly blessed to consider all of you my friends. :-D

  5. dhcoop says:

That’s right, CP, and I believe we have you and Orville to thank for triggering the use of the term “popcorn”. LOL!

    • CornPop says:

OH YEAH – CornPop loves popcorn!! ;) And air filters need to be changed on a regular basis, as well, ya know?!!

  6. Legal Eagle says:

Wow! Thank you for the trip down Memory Lane, Coop! We have had some rough times and have relied on the MRBA to be there for us. And let’s don’t forget the Boss himself, who has had to make major changes in his professional career.

Clucky and Mr. Fab, you and Poppy are in my prayers. I love you!

My daughter in Oxford who is going through a divorce has a van that conked out a couple of weeks ago and she and her 4 children have been navagating around Oxford on the bus, figuring out schedules to get to the grocery store and places that are necessary for them to go.

  7. parrotmom says:

Coop what a nice point that you have made.. A few more is IronGhost and his diagnosis of cancer and his recovery. The airfilters being changed on a fun side. Marshall running his Cancer race in 2010 to finish in agony and then to come home to more pain of being cut part time and now reforming himself in the business world.

Prayers to Clucky, Mr. Fab, and Poppy on the loss of their beloved. May they fine peace which is not always the case at times but please remember all the good things this woman provided for them.

  8. parrotmom says:

Off to pick up some lunch and then to the office. I hate not having a weekend to myself :(

  9. dhcoop says:

I just saw a breaking news headline that Amy Winehouse has been found dead in London. I am not surprised, but it sure makes me sad that such a fine talent lost herself in a sea of drugs and couldn’t swim out. May she rest in peace. She was obviously not at peace here on earth.

  10. OldBopper says:

For all the motorcyclists out there.

I bought one of those ‘spensive Mustang seats with the backrest and passenger seat.
I put the regular seat and backrest on last evening and rode with it today. It is a very comfortable seat. The backrest is a nice touch.

But, it raises the seat height enough that only my toes will touch the ground and it pulls me back from the handlebars enough that I have a hard time getting a relaxed grip position. In summary, I’m just too darned short for the seat. My guess is you need to be about 5’10” at minimum to use it.

    Soooooo, I’m sending it back.

  11. Legal Eagle says:

I have some leftover Choclablover chicken enchiladas and I’m going for some with some chili cheese Fritos in a minute. I wish JB would put his recipe on here too.

  12. Barb says:

Clucky, you, Mr. Fab and Poppy are in my thoughts and prayers. Just know that the sweet angel is at peace now.

  13. cardinallady says:

Flitting through. Had a photo dropped in my lap to take, turned out awesome. Will be a page one shot. Waiting on eight loads of clothes to finish washing. Have been cleaning this morning.

Came to the office to get my Sunday school sheets together for the kiddies tomorrow.

Clucky, Mr. Fab and Poppy, I know the hardest days are ahead. God will walk with you on the other side, I promise, and much more importantly, so does HE. LOVE you my dears.

All of you are just so special to me, I thought about you this morning while I was cleaning, it’s time for prayer.

My Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for all these dear friends that have enriched my life more than they will ever know. We gather in this circle to up lift all those whose hearts are heavy today. We especially pray for Clucky, Mr. Fab, Poppy and the entire family that loved this dear woman You carried home this morning. We thank You that Mrs. White has already run her race and she has joined that ‘great cloud of witnesses that surrounds us.’ She has brushed the dew on Jordan’s banks and crossed over to your bright land. Thank you so much. Please grip those she leaves behind in Your loving arms. Send your angel band to stand around them, may they as the young man with Elijah many years ago, see Your angels and feel Your presence. We thank YOU for Your death, burial and resurrection that makes possible our salvation and the hope that lives ever on the other side for us, and gives us peace on this side while we await our turn to be bourn away to that fair land. In YOUR loving name. AMEN.

  14. cardinallady says:

Let us know about the memorial services please clucky, and also please email me your address, regina.butler@journalinc.com or text it to me which ever is easiest.

  15. Mrs. H says:

Leagle, thought about you at lunch today. Em and I ate at Newks after uniform shopping. I’d never been there before. Very nice.

  16. Airwolf says:

I was hanging something for my bride, driving a concrete nail with a mini sledge, I hit my left ring finger. I didn’t curse but I spelled a couple of bad words.

  17. Legal Eagle says:

I hope you availed yourselves of the goodies provided on the round table and got lots of roasted garlic cloves and capers to add to your entrees. You will be such an addition to the choir in the morning not only with your lovely voice but for the sound effects that will accompany you.

I read a rather odd book yesterday called “Mermaid” which was written in 1982 by Margaret Millar, a Canadian mystery writer who seemed to have been one of Agatha Christie’s favorite authors. It was a strange and rather sad book about a mentally challenged young woman. I’m now reading another heretofore unknown to me author, Bob Morris, called “Bahamarama.” It’s about a former Miami Dolphins player who, although innocent, just got out of a two-year stretch in the Florida prison system. It has yet to show me that Bob Morris has a chance of becoming the next John D. McDonald though.

  18. dhcoop says:

OWEE AW! That had to hurt!

    Cardinallady, beautiful prayer as always.

I made a round trip to the cathouse to be with my kittiekids a while and now am back in Gtown looking forward to a relaxing evening washing laundry. :)

It’s been raining steady here for a while and I hear Hinds, Madison and Rankin counties are under a flood watch. After my drive up into Hinds, I’m not surprised. A LOT of water standing.

Just bought me some new readers. It sure is nice not having to see around the scratches.

  19. dhcoop says:

I’m taking Big Sis up on her offer to eat everything in her fridge and freezer while they are gone. Found two steaks that I have marinating. Obviously, I won’t eat both, but I can cook them both and have one leftover tomorrow. She also left some potatoes that are thinking about sprouting, so I think they are candidates for use. Methinks I shall eat well tonight. Now, as to how my recently invaded system handles red meat, well…we’ll see…

  20. Airwolf says:

Just saw that my old boss Gen. John Shalikashvili died this morning. One hell of a soldier and mentor. With his Polish accent, I had to really listen to make certain I understood what he was saying!!

  21. parrotmom says:

AW, surprised that you remembered to spell first reaction is just to holler no matter what comes out.

Coop enjoy your meal and home your system can handle the steaks.

    CLady I loved the prayer.

  22. dhcoop says:

Sorry AW. Someday I’ll have to tell you the story about how working for the Polish American Heritage Day Committee made me an outstanding typist!

Just had an AWESOME steak and taters. Hope it sits well.

Watching Shawshank Redemption. It’ll make you think.

  23. Legal Eagle says:

I love The Shawshank Redemption and watched it a time or two before I realized that Stephen King wrote it.

  24. parrotmom says:

I have always enjoyed watching that movie. A really awesome story.

AW I imagine with our southern accent was tough on him too!!

  25. parrotmom says:

nite to all. going to watch the unit and maybe turn out the lights?
Not sure if I will go to work tomorrow or not. I still have a few more to get through. One of them is a book of 217 pages. I wonder if PD’s records since June 1st could be that many pages yet?

  26. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

Cloudy and humid here. Not sure if more rain is in store.
