I got home at lunch and found a lame puppy in the house. I don’t know what he did but he can’t put any weight whatsoever on one of his front legs. He has access to a doggy door but was in the house when I got home. When he tried to come to me, he yelped and fell down. So he is now at the vet. My poor baby.
Take care of him. Animals are helpless!

I just picked up Pepper, he lost 4 molars. Doesn’t have many left. He’s acting like nothing happened.
Good for Pepper! Hope he gets a good meal tonight.
Puppy has a hairline fracture in his foot. He is now sporting a puppy-sized splint on his right front foot. I haven’t seen him, yet. Hubby is picking him up now.
Poor Pepper and poor puppy. What’s the puppy’s name, Molly?
I got the recipe for those great crackers we had at the election prescinct and here it is:
Tasty Cheese Crackers
1 pound cheese crackers (Cheese Its are the best, but since box is 13 oz., you need to add enough to make a pound
½ cup olive oil
½ vegetable oil (or you can use all vegetable oil if you don’t like olive oil)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 ½ teaspoon dill weed
1 ¼ teaspoon lemon pepper
Optional: ½ teaspoon sweet basil and ½ teaspoon oregano
1 package Hidden Valley original ranch dressing, not the buttermilk variety
Mix all ingredients but the crackers thoroughly as it tends to separate. Put crackers in bowl and drizzle over crackers, mixing well and coating the crackers.
The crackers don’t need to be baked. They just need to be kept in a covered container.

Hurt puppy is Nicky. The other one is Connor.

I’m so sorry for Pepper! Kind of reminds me of the Abominal Snowman on the animated Christmas show “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” when the elf that wanted to be a dentist pulled all his teeth. Poor baby – I’m referring to Pepper here!
And, talking about poor babies – my heart goes out to Nicky! I must have missed the post, but how did he break his little puppy leg?
I’m now scheduled for knee surgery next Thursday, the 8th (repair meniscus, Baker’s cyst decompression & healing the bone contusion – all causing pain) the doctor really wanted to do surgery this week, but I had made a promise that I wouldn’t do it until after Labor Day…I know I’ll be fine and have some rehab therapy to go through but I don’t plan on pushing my recovery. Knee function & strength are a must! The office will carry on fine without me and I know that Coop has my back! I’ve learned in the past few years (& especially in the last 18 months) that there are some things more important in this world and some things that really don’t matter in the grand scheme of life. Perspective & priorities…
I don’t know what the little guy did. He may have done something outside. He and Connor wrestle and chase each other all the time. He may have gotten hurt when they were doing something. We’ll never know. He sure hasn’t let it stop him, though.

Thanks, Molly! Been meaning to mention to you that Orville and I ran into one of your bosses at the store the other day (& who happened to remarry us). We really enjoyed being able to congratulate him on his resounding win! :-)
Well, I took the modem apart and looked inside. Nothing visible to repair. Next step is to contact wild blue to see about getting a replacement.
