    Mornin!

Congratulations to the Choctaw Nation this morning! Proud to see them elect the first female Chief ever! Plus, I think she is totally qualified and worthy of the position.

  2. Mrs. H says:

I had a rough start this morning. I was listening to my mom tell me why she was coming to live with me. I knew it was a dream and I didn’t want to wake up. So I just stood there looking at her beautiful face, not hearing a word she was saying, knowing that I’d wake up soon and she’d be gone.

  3. dhcoop says:

Oh MrsH, I’m sorry Hun. Hugs dear!

  4. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’ y’all. Fixing to head out on an all day ride. Plan to cover about 10 counties today. Y’all be sweet. Smiles and hugs to all!

  5. parrotmom says:

Good morning everyone. Happy Friday to me!!! happy Friday to me!!!! Yay :)

OB be careful. MrsH it alway surprises me to dream about my parents. My mom has been gone 23 years and my dad will be gone 12 years on October 6th.

Glad for the new election and for the first female chief.

  6. parrotmom says:

ok AVG took over my yahoo/bellsouth home page what is the site to get it back?

  7. parrotmom says:

AVG is like my antivirus program. It like other stuff wants uou to use them instead of google, bing, yahoo for you to search the web. where I am now O have no clue how to find me email.

  8. msblondie says:

    morning gang!!

That is good news about the Choctaws.

PM: You can just type in yahoo.com on the address bar, click on mail, and use your bellsouth account info to log in. when you sign out, it will take you to the att.yahoo page and the you can reset it as your homepage in Tool/Options.

  9. parrotmom says:

Thanks MsB, I tried that but without my glasses, mistyping, and rushing I messed that up too. I will fix at lunch or this evening.

  10. Barb says:

No work for me today. Boss is p…ed, but my back has decided to seize up. She is worried about inventory next Friday, but I have 5 non truck days to get ready for it in my department. It will get done!! I refuse to feel guilty, well, at least not much, anyway!!

  11. cardinallady says:

Morning! How is everybody this clear beautiful fall morning? The weather sure has been nice hasn’t it? And did y’all catch the dejavu? There is another “broad low” system working in the lower gulf. We could use some more rain. I know that sounds sad, but my yard STILL has one inch cracks in it. Maybe another rain will mend this clay.

  12. The Real JB says:

    Hello All.

New ministry tonight starts at our church: AWANA. I am the commander so if you don’t mind please address me as commander on this blog.

We received a counter offer on our church building. Voting Sunday whether or not to accept that offer.

  13. Mrs. H says:

C-Lady, after 3 days of solid, at times torrential, rain, our yard wasn’t even soggy yesterday morning. The dirt at the edges of the road has dry sand sitting on top.

Leftover Mexican (from my kitchen!) for lunch today.

  14. Mrs. H says:

Prayers for your counter offer, Commander!

    You crack me up

  15. Airwolf says:

Afternoon folks! I went grocery shopping and stopped by the drug store and thus have ended my busy morning, heh heh! Retirement is great!

    I love this weather.

  16. parrotmom says:

MrsH, that does seem amazing to have so much rain and still the ground to be so dry, but the hardest rain had no time to sink in and just ran off the top.

    Commander JB??? Wow!!!!

AW glad you are enjoying your busy retirement days. LOL!!!!

  17. The Real JB says:

Let me tell you something that I’ve been enjoying. My 76 year old dad is learning how to text. He cracks me up.

  18. msblondie says:

had lunch with my mom and C today (Mom finally got around to our birthday lunches). It is so nice out.

I have to top down on my car trying to dry it out. I know what ya mean about the yards still dry… with as much rain that fell our backyard should be a swamp, but it isn’t even squishy.

  19. OldBopper says:

Home! Did 333 miles today! Mrs H. I almost called you to see if I could see ABC, but decided to save George County for another ride. Today I left Rankin, went to Simpson and down to Prentiss. Took Hwy 84 through Jefferson Davis, Covington, Jones, and Wayne Counties. Then turned south for a bit and went West on Hwy 42 through Greene, Perry and Forrest Counties. Eased over to Hwy 98 through Lamar and Marion Counties then north back to Prentiss, West over to Lawrence County, back up to Mendenhall, Puckett and into Brandon. Good ride with mixed types of roadways. Hwy 84 is a cream puff because there’s no traffic to speak of. The only place I really encountered traffic was Hwy 98 coming out of Hattiesburg toward Columbia. Some interesting little town names…Olos, and Expose. Wonder if the Expose football team is called the “Flashers”. Wish I had written down some of the others

  20. tank says:

you made it to my county ob.
some very creepy news stories today…the man w/the lobsters in his pants, the arrest of the minister and the weather guy found in the hot tub w/the dead guy. I could use some happier news stories.

  21. msblondie says:

to add to gloom news – found out that Shady Acres on 49 burned down on Monday evening. An Iconic place to stop when going down to H’burg or the coast.

  22. dhcoop says:

And in other good news, the NHC is now tracking not one (Katia), not two (Maria), but THREE (Nate) named storms, one of which is in the GOM.

  23. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

I would be afraid of a hurricane “Tank”! heh. ..

  24. pncpnthr says:

Evening. Hubby is leaving again in the morning. I’ll miss him but it sure is nice to get home around 5:30 & not have to cook. I have my granddog for 3 weeks so I wont get too lazy. She brings me a tennis ball to play every evening. It’s fun.

  25. parrotmom says:

Evening everyone. Thanks all for bringing me up on all the latest news and weather. Some very interesting happenings :)

  26. dhcoop says:

OK, so I’m leaving work and I am a couple of miles away and realize there was a lizard on the hood of the truck. It never dawned on me as I pulled off on a side street to rescue the darn thing that there was no way it was going to let me catch it. I’m sure I was quite a sight running from side to side of the truck trying to catch the poor thing. It finally ran off the side and jumped to the pavement. I’m just hoping I didn’t run over it as I pulled off…

  27. parrotmom says:

Way to go Coop. I hope he made it safely to the side of the road.

  28. parrotmom says:

I ‘m off for the next 6 days, why do I feel like crying?
