Mornin!
OHHH it’s FOGGY out this morning! Gonna make for a LONG drive in.
Busy day ahead. Hope everyone has a great one!
Coop thank goodness for the delete button!!!! I hope your comments get some action done and maybe get some others do the same.
Good morning everyone, hi, ho, hi, ho, it’s off to work I go and I am some kind of hungry. Chicken biscuit maybe in my forecast.
Tomorrow morning I will have to have another mammogram probably due to a fold in the original, no lumps, bumps, or spots. When I mentioned I have lost over 25 pounds since June(by diet, not sure if any exercise other than running the roads) they pretty much think that is from the weight loss and they didn’t flatten it enough!!!! I know you women understand that one :) Ouch!!!
Well kittie girls or waiting to get in and want some loving hope you all have a great day.
Mawnin’ y’all. I see where Rankin County School Board’s referendum on a huge bond issue failed. It appears a lot of voters are like me, fed up with the actions of the current school administration.
Also I see where the school ratings have been released by the Department of Education. Wouldn’t know that if you don’t read the “SunHerald” on the coast. Guess the C-L will pick up on it sometime this week.
Hope everybody has a great day.
It was on the online CL yesterday. Clinton is one of four Star schools in the state. We’re so proud!
Thanks for the info. I guess I missed it. Congrats to Clinton.
Morning All!
Popping in to say Hi and popping back out. I know, I know. Work, work, work makes LegalSec a boring person!
Have a great hump day!
morning gang!
Today is National Cream Filled Donut Day – so I stopped on the way in got a couple for Mom and me.
Oooooo.
Charles Hickson passed away. I wonder if they found anything . . . unusual . . .
http://www.wlox.com/story/15456231/gautier-man-made-famous-by-alien-abduction-dies-at-80
hey all!!! have not been on it a while just wanted to say HI!!!
Morning!
There was a cartoon of the businesses and sights of Pascagoula on some of the resteraunts that actually had a image of the alien abduction drawn on it. Cute.
I’ve got an hankering for a poboy for lunch. Let me see what I can find.
I read this story about finding the autistic child that had run away from school earlier this week. http://www.aol.com/2011/09/14/joshua-robb_n_961834.html
His family had lost their home due to a foreclosure, then they lost custody of the child because they had him tethered to the house while they were moving stuff out. According to the school, he tends to run away, so they sometimes have him on a tether between classes. The family was trying to keep their son safe in a potentially upsetting/dangerous situation. I hope the authorities realize their mistake and let the child go back to his parents.
I hope they realize it, too. Since the school has to use the same method, they SHOULD be able to see that it was necessary and not just cruel parents.
Nicky, the puppy, has hurt his other front foot. He just got the splint off his right leg Friday, and now he can’t walk on his left leg. He was hurt when I got home at lunch just like the last time. He’s at the vet now. Could this be a ploy to keep us from taking him to be neutered by (a) making us feel sorry for him because he’s already hurt, and (b) making us spend all our money on his feet so we don’t have any left to spend on other body parts that he would like to keep?
“other body parts that he would like to keep”
Now, that made me laugh!!
sorry for the puppy again Molly.. but I had to laugh at this. Just too funny.
I’m sorry too, Molly, but that’s pretty funny right there! LOL!
I live to entertain.
LOL!!!
I am wanting a nap this afternoon.. but have just too much to do.
mmmmmm Newks for lunch!
Cheeburger Cheeburger for lunch. I’m addicted.
is that on the approved list for diabetics?
There’s a man at my neighbors cutting down and trimming trees. He is fascinating to watch. The rascal is like a monkey in the tree and climbs them with ease. He definitely knows what he is doing. I like the way he works and they clean up everything and haul it off. I just contracted with him to cut eight trees out of our front yard.
y’all have GOT to watch this. you need sound. hilarious.

Update on Nicky: nothing is broken this time. He apparently was stung on the bottom of his foot by something. I’ve been seeing wasps down around ground level. He must have stepped on one and angered it. He is really sore, but it will be better in a day or so.
Molly, you may have to give Nicky the full meal deal like a friend of mine did. She rescued a Chihuahua and hers was the third home he had had in a month. He had to have one of his legs amputated and while he was knocked out, they took his manhood at the same time. I asked her what his name is and she said, “His name is Luxky.” Poor guy. We used to have a plaque that talked about a dog named Lucky who had about that kind of luck too.
Molly so glad only a sting and not another fracture.
OB I agree watching them fellows swing from tree to tree cutting and trimming until it all falls down is really entertaining.
Evening everyone. Fun day back at work—- maybe tomorrow I can do my work and not someone else’s. Looks like I want be home on Saturday.
Our hostess Monday night, Agnes, made the best pie I’ve tasted in a long time.
Caramel Coconut Pie
8 oz. coconut
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 stick butter
1 regular size Cool Whip
1 14-oz. can Eagle sweetened condensed milk
1 8-oz. package cream cheese (room temperature)
2 graham cracker crusts
1 12-oz. jar Smuckers’ caramel topping
Mix pecans and coconut and spread in baking dish. Cut butter into small chunks and spread over coconut/pecan mixture. Bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees F., stirring occasionally. Set aside to cool and separate into 4 equal parts.
Mix together: Cool Whip, Eagle Brand and cream cheese with hand mixer.
Layer in 2 pie crusts:
1. 1/4 coconut/pecan mixture in bottom of each
2. 1/4 caramel drizzled over layer 1
3. 1/2 Cool Whip mixture into each pie
4. 1/4 coconut/pecan mixture on top of Cool Whip mixture
5. Pour remaining caramel on top
Freeze. Serve. Enjoy.
oooooooohhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I will have to share this with Mom! And I may have to attempt it for my boys!
Sounds REALLY good!
sounds yummy LegalE :)
Evenin!
LOOOONNNNGGGG day!!! Glad to be out of my “big girl” shoes and in my jammies!
Talked to Dad a little while ago. Tippy is doing better. She came up the steps on her own just fine and even jumped into the chair with Mom. We went out and cranked the 4 wheeler while ago and rode around the yard slowly to help her work some of the stiffness. She likes to follow him on the 4 wheeler. :) I haven’t heard from the Sheriff. We’ll see about that…
Molly, glad the little Nicker boy doesn’t have anything broken. Now he can get “fixed up” soon! :)
Off to find a movie. The kittie girls wanted their supper, but want eat unless I am there to watch. Funny girls!!!!
I don’t know if anyone is watching AGT, but there was just a duet with Tony Bennett and Queen Latifa!!! It was freaking AMAZING! I would have never have put those two together, but that was one awesome duet!!
I enjoyed the duet I saw the other day of Tony Bennet and Amy Winehouse. I wouldn’t have thought they would have gone together either, but it was great.
Tony Bennett is 85 years old. Amazing!
I’m watching the Crossfit Games! Think I found something I can do! I’ll have to start small but these workouts are awesome!!
hmmm, guess I’ll have to check it out.
YYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! My number 1 pick on America’s Got Talent won! My favorites of the season won 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and with this season’s abundance of talent it was hard to narrow down.
Of course, the premier of my very favorite TV show, Survivor, was on opposite the finale of AGT, so I spent a lot of time flipping back and forth. It’s times like these when I really miss my DVR. With the new fall season coming up, I’m sure that won’t be the only time I was wishing I still had the DVR.
Exhausted…think it’s beddy time for me.
Night y’all. Sweet dreams and such.
NIte all, see you good folks tomorrow!!
