Good morning sleeepyheads. it’s 0700hrs.
Good morning Blues. Present and accounted for :)
Happy Thursday to everyone.
Barb I read your post from last night about the video and the show I bet that really put goose bumps all over.
Today marks the 14th year since we lost two grand children in the same day numerous hours apart. Hard to believe it was so many years ago.
Mawnin’ gang. Talked to PQ a while ago. She was shopping for dresses for the wedding yesterday and has this morning free to shop some more. Hasn’t found anything yet. It’s a shame women can’t get by with a black tuxedo.
Revelation of the day: My navel orange this morning came from South Africa. I wonder how many people have made a profit off of it.
Reminder for women 40 and older: Get a mammogram
This month, as we recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, remind the women in your life who are ago 40 and older to take the time to have a mammogram. The National Cancer Institute recommends that women age 40 or older should have screening mammogram every 1 to 2 years.
A mammogram could save your life!
A mammogram can help find cancer early, when it is too small to be felt. Women have a better chance of surviving breast cancer if it is found early. A woman can get breast cancer even if she does not have a family history of the disease.
I’m lookin’ at you, Tank. . .
Morning!!
PM, it was very eerie!
I hope all of you have a great day!
Working a short shift today…9-4…yay!!!!
Morning folks. Rainy day in the north!!
Mornin!
morning gang! this is going to be a long day for me.. i was at then ER with my sister till 330 this morning… she had an allergic reaction to something she ate. They ER doc and nurse got her stable pretty quick but wanted to keep her overnite to be sure.. I stayed till she got in a room and knew the nurses on the floor were going to take care of her.
HUGS PM.
Everyone have a good day… Time for more energy drink.
MsB prayers for your sister. So glad that they were able to get her taken care of. I hope the entergy drinks help you through the day.
msblondie, I’m glad your sister is ok. I found out that as we get older, new allergies can strike at any time and things that never caused a reaction before, suddenly become a problem.
I’ve had a challenging week. Of the 16 people who played bridge last week, 5 told me they couldn’t play this week. Then I got 3 calls from some of the others who had conflicts that had arisen. So out of the 16 who played last week, 8 had to be replaced, one as late as 7:30 last night. 16 are playing again today, but 8 are players who weren’t with us last week.
We’re having our monthly senior luncheon today and instead of being free as it usually is, the tickets cost a $5.00 donation to the American Cancer Association. We are playing bingo at lunch and then my bridge game is after all that.
An article in our local newspaper mentioned USM’s victory over the Navel Academy. Yes, they wrote Navel rather than Naval! My eldest was tempted to write a letter to the editor, but he was the one that wrote the article. Then there was the ad about ‘Ella the missing heifer with $2100 on a yellow tag’. I really didn’t know what to make of that one!
LOL@MrsH! I want to hear about the missing heifer!
I’ve got peas on the stove, taters and onions in the oven, and a pretty red tomato on the counter. Veggies for lunch!
Shhhhhhhhhh! Don’t tell Prom Queen but Casper and I went for a 10 mile ride a few minutes ago. I love that little machine. It’s a blast to ride but it’s not built for long distance comfort. One of these days I’m going to put it up for sale.
OB, glad you’re feeling healed enough to ride. I was planning to ride today, but then remembered El had an orthodontist appointment. I wasn’t sure she’d appreciate being picked up on my bike! I rode Monday and Wednesday, though. I had too many errands that involved a drive-thru on Tuesday.
We had a great lunch today catered by V.I.P. catering. Everything they cook is good. We had roast beef, roasted potatoes, green beans, salad and cake and raised $700.00 for breast cancer. The mayor and our senior director awarded the check to the cancer assn. rep.
I went by the library and managed to get 5 one-week books. This should be interesting.
Evening everyone. Hope you all made it through the day and only one more to go :)
OB glad you had a nice ride on Casper. Hope it didn’t hurt you too much.
Evenin!
Really enjoyed my ride home today listening to Marshall’s show. He had Grady Champion in the studio with his band. They were great!
Leagle, we’ve used VIP catering, and they are awesome!
Airwolf, I finally got to see the young lady playing trumpet on my phone today (in town). Truly beautiful!
Anything good on tv tonight?
evening gang! I am ready for this day to end. They finally discharged my sister about 530 this afternoon – so much for the morning. During all of this last night my grandmother was admitted to another ER in town for a heart attack- her pacemaker/defib kicked in and did its job. Her doctors are keeping her another night to be safe, she is 85. Thin this afternoon about 2 my mother had to take my oldest nephew to the ER -a nose bleed that would not stop (this started at school). It has been a trying 24 hours. M got pulled into helping this afternoon get kids around for soccer and herself to work (luckly the same fields)
I think I am going to crash all the caffine has worn off.
Goodness, Blondie! You’ve had a hell of a day!! Praying everything turns out okay for everyone.
Coop I think you described MsB’s day best. Poor thing, I hope she gets some sleep tonight!!
It’s 4am. Went to bed at 2 am, awoke at 3 am. I miss my Prom Queen. I’m just not used to sleeping alone.
