Mawnin’ y’all. Planning to ride today….not several hundred miles but more than the 10 miles I’ve been riding. This might be the best day for it for a while.

Hope everybody has a good start this morning and, if not, I hope the “good start” catches up with you ASAP.

  2. OldBopper says:

BTW, its 5:53 am. Wish we could get the clock working on the blog.

  3. Marshall Ramsey says:

Honestly, I don’t know how to change the clock on it. I’ve been slammed doing other things but will take a look at it this weekend.

  4. Mrs. H says:

If you forget the clock, we’ll still be fine. It hones our math skills!

The eldest was telling us about a guy that came into the bank yesterday telling the story about his weekend. You can read about it here: http://blog.gulflive.com/mississippi-press-news/2011/10/self-proclaimed_dixie_mafia_ma.html

Apparently, he hadn’t changed clothes since his court appearance on Monday as he was still wearing the same thing yesterday.

  5. parrotmom says:

Good morning to everyone. Well it is hump day. The days sure are passing faster as time gets closer.

MsB you are one terrific mother to do all that chocolate design for your daughter after a long day at the office. Like Coop said show pics :)

OB before careful on Boule today and don’t over do it.

Marshall the clock drives us and you crazy but if it was meant to be correct it would have happened when you designed our home here with you. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

  6. OldBopper says:

Hmmmm, in 1996 Steve Forbes proposed a 17% flat tax. This year Rick Perry is proposing a 20% flat tax under a plan chiefly designed by Forbes. So how flat is flat if it keeps going up?

Yes, I know there are hundreds of other factors that go into those rates, but all of that is flexible and can be changed at any time.

  7. Ann Onimous says:

7:15am and off to work. I don’t wanna go!

  8. Barb says:

    OB, be careful!

  9. Airwolf says:

    Morning friends! 7:46 am

  10. GrammarGirl says:

Good Morning! Enjoyed seeing Coop and meeting Baby Girl and Peanut last night. Good times. Coop, your daughter and granddaughter are stunningly beautiful.

I would appreciate some prayers this morning. My youngest has a math test and this grade is very important. She struggles at math and it’s about to send both of us to the crazy house. Thanks!

  11. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

I’ve gotten to where I just ignore the clock. Like PM said, Marshall, don’t sweat the small stuff!

GG, I’m glad you got to meet part of my family! They are lights in my life. And praying your littlest does well on her test.

MrsH, I’m looking forward to reading your story later.

    Got to get busy now!

  12. Mrs. H says:

Remember the horse I mentioned yesterday. He was in my backyard this morning! Pic on FB. Apparently he doesn’t belong to our next door neighbor (who has about 8 horses) but she thinks she does know the owner. When I called her, she asked if it was red. Yes, I said. Is he old and have bad knees? How does one look at a horse and tell if he has bad knees? I’m not a horse person. I can tell he’s a horse and that’s about it. :) I was not going to get close in case he’s not a friendly horse. Even with bad knees, he can probably move faster than me.

  13. msblondie says:

morning gang! Yawn… I was sleeping good when hubby left for work.. then fell back to a hard deep sleep afterwards… did not want to get up.

I will get pictures of all the candy and stuff… Party is saturday night so I will get them when I set the table up then.. I will let ya know i will send the up to FB. We also have been expermenting with ButterBeer recipes. Think we found the one we are going to use. Still have to find the movie “mocktail” to serve during the movie – “The Shining”. Have a couple that have to test tonight to see how they turn out.

Everyone have a good day! I gotta get busy… had a system blow up last night….

  14. Crystalbutterfly says:

    hey all!!!
hope that everyone has a great day!
prayers needed for a co-worker of MMLs she had a motorcycle wreck yesterday and has 3rd degree burns on her side
I never look at the time on here don’t know why I just never think to do it.
prayers and hugs to everyone today–love you guys.

  15. OldBopper says:

Aha! Add six hours to the time showing on the blog and you have the current time. Hope that holds.

My goodness Crystal Butterfly, sounds like she was trapped under the exhaust pipe. Hope she isn’t burned too badly.

MrsH, I tried to advise both my daughters not to get personalized plates but they didn’t listen to Daddy. After an initial year or two, they finally got generic plates. It’s much safer.

  16. OldBopper says:

On that time thing, the am and pm will not be in sync. But I can deal with that.

  17. Legal Eagle says:

Hey y’all! I have another couple of hours before I have to leave the house. I just caught up on the rest of yesterday’s blog. Clucky, I loved what your preacher had to say.

Coop, you’ve become quite the gad about meeting so many of our mutual friends in one short week.

Our class lunch yesterday was wonderful and we have 11 women there. One of our classmates sells Tastefully Simple products and she made lunch for us from Tastfully Simple products, which need only 1 or 2 extra ingredients. We had sangria slush, artichoke and spinach dip with blue Aztec chips, an olive and herb cheese ball with Ritz crackers, wild rice soup with beer bread, chicken salad with grapes and made with their onion Vidalia dressing instead of mayonnaise, sliced tomatoes with some of their oil and mix and grated cheese, more beer bread, and the best broccoli salad I have ever tasted. Then we had a dessert which consisted of an Ameretto pound cake, a sweet cheese ball and pretzel shaped cinnamon graham crackers. I’ve been talking about a job. I’m going to check into being a consultant. Everything was delicious.

  18. parrotmom says:

LegalE I think that would be an awesome job for you!!!

Coop my first thought of “gad” was “generalized anxiety disorder”. You can thank my medical abbreviation knowledge for that one. LOL!!

  19. cardinallady says:

Good morning! Flying through. I see everybody is doing well.

Ha! I love our new word for the day. Gadabout. legal, you need to teach us more new words like that. It’s great!!!

Jon and I have a dr appt this afternoon at Booneville. They are going to take another peek at his collar bone.
I have to take four hours mandatory at a time when taking sick hours so we are leaving at noon for his 3 p.m. apt. Going to eat somewhere up there and enjoy ourselves before the time. Afterward, I think we are going to go look at his truck and drive to “the” spot, just to remind us how fragile life is.

Incidentally, the rabbit was DELICIOUS!!! I could only eat a small piece of it because it has so much protein. but the taste was awesome!

  20. Legal Eagle says:

My daddy raised rabbits for years and on Sunday morning he would fry the rabbit liver for me (which should never be done on a wild rabbit) and brown the rest and put it in a casserole with cream of mushroom or chicken soup and sometimes lemon slices and hot peppers and let it bake slowly in the oven while we were at church so lunch would be about ready when we got home.

  21. Mrs. H says:

CrystalB, if your friend did any sliding on the pavement, that could account for the burns just as easily as hot bike parts. No matter what caused them, they’ve got to hurt!

  22. dhcoop says:

I read the Boss’ latest story and now have “Gloom, despair and agony on me” running through my brain! HeeHaw

  23. GrammarGirl says:

Little Bit made a high B on the math test. Thank you for your prayers!

  24. GrammarGirl says:

Also, want to take a mother’s privilege to brag on my eldest. Her class is collecting canned goods and she used her own money to buy 16 cans last night.

  25. Barb says:

I always subtract 5 hours and 31 minutes from the time shown!

  26. Barb says:

Now, by Comcast time, it is exactly 6 hours.

  27. Legal Eagle says:

I just put some chicken enchiladas in the oven, made with Choclablover’s recipe, and I have 2 bags of chili cheese Fritos to go with them.

  28. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

Well, I guess I learned a new word today. gadabout. I always like to learn something new every day!

  29. parrotmom says:

evening everyone. I guess it is time for Psyhco IV. See you folks later.

  30. OldBopper says:

Just checking the time. Barb has tweaked my curiosity. By my clock it is 7:29 pm

  31. dhcoop says:

    OB posted at 1:20 a.m.

    testing real time

  32. dhcoop says:

I posted at 9:18 pm and blog says 3:18 a.m.

  33. dhcoop says:

clock on computer says 6:18 a.m. because its set on Dubai time.

  34. dhcoop says:

Time stamp says I posted at 3:19 a.m. and I say I’m at 9:18 p.m. Although computer said I was at 6:18 a.m. Geeze… it makes it even more complicated when you are on a computer that is set to show time in Dubai and you don’t even know what time it is in Mississippi!

  35. dhcoop says:

It’s 9:28 pm (according to a real clock) and I am going to go put my clothes in the dryer and hit the sack.
