Can u say “cut & paste”?
Indeed, Fab’s surgery appears to be a success! 2 Implanted Spine Stimulators at one time. Like a pain pacemaker for his back, with batteries in the booty. LOL have to be recharged every few days. Remote controls (2) for the units. Incisions are great, dermabond only-so very minimal scarring. They were working fine last night, and he has (I think) slept all night. Could be anesthesia, but still.
Had a semi-visit w/his doc whom I was being referred to, and after reading the MRI told me I don’t need him, I need surgery SOON. As soon as I can get in w/my 2nd opinion of choice, it will be go time. I’ll keep yall posted. Thanks for the prayers. I need to be getting ready for work, but feel I have been hit with a club. All over.
A few questions-(and I bet OB) can answer 2: I’m looking for a few things: an old dress form, a used serger sewing machine I can learn on without filing bankruptcy, a white iron bed (twin) and an old drafting table. If any of you have these for sale (or know where I can find them), lemme know!
PM, I thought of you so much yesterday. ICU/surgery waiting rooms make me want to stab out my eyes with a fork. Praying the vent trials go well today, Stormy is home and safe, and we all have a good Thanksgiving.
God Bless Us, every one!
Amen!!
Check your FB messages about 1 item.
Clucky, I bet they used dermabond when I had my surgery. I could never find the incision and I always thought they used Super Glue. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Mornin
I’m so very glad it went well, Clucky!! Now, just to get you fixed up! As far as your wish list, I’m sorry, but I don’t know of anyone with any of those things.
Gotta get moving.
G’morning! Prayers for PM and PD and Mr. Fab.
Clucky, PQ says she has a dress form you can have if you promise to take it away. As for the serger, she suggests not to get a used one to learn on because they can be all messed up and inhibit learning. She says Hancock Fabrics has a good starter for $199.
Oldest daughter and grands due in this evening. To McComb for Thanksgiving tomorrow.
Spent the night in Icu waiting room in hopes of finding out what the big goose egg is on the right side of the neck. Nothing like 3 snoring men. No one was comfie.
I appreciate all the prayers. Clucky, so glad all went well with Mr. Fab. I hope he realizes you have him more in control than ever :)
Good morning.
Glad to hear some good news clucky. Praying for a speedy recovery for Mr. Fab and for you to be healed soon.
PM, you and PD will be placed on my church’s prayer list this sunday. May God bless y’all.
Realized yesterday evening that we were not going to be finished today. Earliest possible release time now will be late thursday night. It’s a bummer but it’ll be aight.
Thanks Blues. Sorry for the delay on your estimated leave time, but at least you will be with BullyDuck soon.
Morning folks. Glad to hear Fab’s procedure went well. Now if we can get PD and Clucky straigtened out life will be good.
Blue’s glad that it at least pays if you’re gonna be late.
Insurance adjuster is supposed to come today, waiting to hear from him!
Today is my sweet Mothers birthday!
a quick morning.. lotsto do before our lunch today.
glad to hear mr fab’s procedure went well.
PM thinking of you and PD.
Hubby has yard clean up today… lots and lots of limbs down from yesterday.. just glad none on the house.
Our Eldest has made her own ‘Will you be my Bridesmaid?’ cards to send to her chosen ones. The trip to Hobby Lobby for envelopes, cutesy paper to line the envelopes and blank cards to draw on generated what Em calls our first Bridezilla story:
“What’s wrong with this one?”
“Those beiges clash!”
“Oh My Gosh! It’s BEIGE…just get it!”
They were cracking us up at dinner!
But the cards are done and they are very cute.
That’s cute!
Happy birthday to the elder Mrs. AW,
PM, will you call me at 601-506-4125. Thanks.
I just got blown away and I’m leaking from my eyes and nose. I called the vet to give him an update on our beloved little dog who had a crick in her neck or pinched nerve and is almost back to her old self. He was thrilled to hear how well she is doing and thanked me for calling. Then he called me right back to tell me that a good samaritian had paid my vet bill. OMG! I’m overwhelmed and trying to swallow coffee around a huge lump in my throat.
That’s great, Legal! We need more Good Samaritans in the world. I’m glad one found you.
Good morning. Prayers going up for Tim and PD. PM. I hope things are better now. Has Dr. Lawson been by to see you ? Call me if you need anything. The office phone is down due to the weather yesterday, so I will not go in til next week.
Sending love and hugs.
Bella, I am soooo glad you are back. I have so missed seeing your smiling avatar. :)
Thank you so very much.
Just checking in for a second. We’re closing at noon and it is now 11:48. Then home to cook.
Glad Mr. Fab’s procedure is working for him. I know a little about back pain so I know how much a relief that is to him. Clucky, I hope you find the right doctor to help you, too.
PM, hope things are going better for PD today. And that you can get some rest!
Blues, sorry you can’t get home for Thanksgiving dinner, but I bet there will be some saved for you.
AW, hope your mom has a fantastic birthday!
Goodness! I ate WAY too much!! Now I could take a nap!
We are being let go. so everyone have a happy thanksgiving.
El made a pumpkin pie (I helped roll out the crust and get it in the dish). Cornbread is baking for my dressing. I’ll make the graham cracker thing later. Just sitting for a spell.
Praise the Lord. CardinalSon is in wheels again! He got a Toyota Tacauma that is a year older than the last one with 100K less miles on it and he didn’t have to pay taxes! Is that awesome or what? He had to go to New Albany and take my aunt and uncle for a spin. He finally feels back in control of his life again. It has been two months since he has felt this way.
I have had a young lady shadowing me all day. She is a sixth grader that I teach in Sunday School. I’m losing her come the second Sunday in December. :( her family is moving to another community 30 minutes away. :( but I encouraged her to view this as an adventure to make new friends and learn new things. It will be okay.
Early Evenin!
They cut us loose early and I’m just now feeling like I can breathe again. DANG I ate too much!! Why do we do that at Thanksgiving?? Habit, I guess??
Good evening. It has been determined that he does have a 2nd blood clot in the right neck. Is in a vein and not in an artery. Just like everything else 50/50. They hope that all will be better tomorrow and that they can start the heparin. They will have to watch him close so that if he has any sign of bleeding they can stop immediately. The clots will only be a problem if they break loose.
Hello again, hello!!! Long day. I hope everyone that can will be with there family tomorrow or sometime this weekend. My BIL’s is out of the question because he was found to have a blood clot today after having surgery yesterday. A shame they are not in the same hospital.
I had a good visit with my step son today. I wished my step daughter coild be here too. I think she would feel better too!
nite to all just trying to relax at home and get ready to start my day again tomorrow.
Clucky, hope Mr Fab is doing well.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Evening everyone. I am actually eating my Thanksgiving dinner now. My family had dinner today because my niece and her family are going out of town tomorrow. Of course, I had to work as I do tomorrow and Black Friday!! 9-7 tomorrow and 7-2 on Friday and then I am babysitting Junior Niece Friday evening.
Happy Birthday to AW’s mom.
Glad for the good news about Mr Fab.
Continued prayers for PM, PD, Clucky, Mr Fab and all who need them and, really isn’t that all of us?
About to call it a night because I have to get up early to cook for our dinner at work tomorrow.
Goodnight and may God Bless and keep you all in His care!
Evening folks! Mom had a great birthday!
