    Good morning everyone it’s MONDAY!!!!

CB hopefully things at work will get better as time goes by.

Clucky, I don’t think pillow therapy is legal, but if it happens wait until the pain meds and muscle relaxers are in affect so you want remember.

Everyone have a great day and try and stay dry.

  3. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

Not looking forward to driving in the fog this morning, but…

…and I think I’ll withhold my opinion on pillow therapy…

Good morning! Clucky, PQ used to (still does) go to bed before me so she could get asleep before I came in and started snoring. But, she said, when my snoring did wake her up she figured it was God’s way of letting her know I was still alive.

Hope PD gets moved. God seems to be answering our prayers for him.

Marshall, I know you’re gonna lose that weight. Yes sir, you can do it!

    Later dudes.

    Hey folks.

I’m working on reorganizing stuff sent to storage, so I’m in the attic workroom. Note to self… it’s not a good idea to let an old empty box slide down the stairs to be taken to the garbage (even though it looks cool and sounds cool from the attic), because the racket it creates causes co-workers to think you have fallen down the stairs. When I REALLY do fall down the stairs they’ll just think “ok, she just slid another box down”.

I’m at the farm! Found three new beaver dams. Dynamite is in their future!!@$)’

  10. OldBopper says:

Just about to get my leaves and pine straw picked up in the back yard. Didn’t use a leaf blower, just cranked up the riding mower and blew it into three large piles. Then a wheelbarrow and rake to pick it up. One more small pile to pick up.

Hope the hard rain comes before or after the ball game this evening.

  11. parrotmom says:

Hey Blues hope this week is going better than last week for you.

AW I have a friend that him and his brother have blown up a few beaver dams they tend to enjoy it that has videoed it.

I hope CLady is better this week? Where is our other bird lady LegalE?

Coop be careful in the attic and don’t make a new exit.

OB I bet your neighbor will be happy to see your leaves gone today. Glad the weather held off for you to get them done.

I see where there is a 100% chance for rain tomorrow. I was in the Legislature in 1984, when Governor Bill Allain was to be sworn in. In fact, I chaired the Legislative Inauguration Committee and had final say so on things that pertained to the Capitol and Capitol grounds.

The morning of the event, it started raining. I decided to make the call at 10:30 as to whether to move it inside. At 10:30 it was still raining so we decided to move it to the House Chamber. Public Television hurriedly brought in more monitors, security was beefed up, and when high noon came, the inauguration began in the House Chamber just as the rain let up.

It didn’t rain again until after all the speeches were made and the Governor was sworn in. There were a lot of people including a lot of school children who were mad as hell because they couldn’t fit into the House Chamber. If I had it to do again, I would provide some overhead cover for the dignitaries and let everybody else fend for themselves with umbrellas and rain coats.

Either way, somebody is going to be mad.

  16. msblondie says:

  18. OldBopper says:

  20. parrotmom says:

Game has been just as boring the one in November. I do like the way the outcome is looking.
    Roll Tide….. Finally got a touchdown :)

  21. Msblondie says:

I think aliens took over LSU team… This game has been horrible.

    Good night to all.

  22. Legal Eagle says:

AW, there was a lawyer at The Firm who shot a beaver while he (the lawyer) was deer hunting simply because it made a noise. He had the beaver stuffed and mounted on a board with grass, painted water, etc. and placed the whole thing in his office. The protocol was that when you entered the lawyer’s office, you had to pay your respects to the beaver first, by name, of course.

I went to a book club this morning that was discussing “Cutting For Stone,” which I read a few weeks ago. There were about 20 people there and their opinion was the same as mine, that I was glad I read it, but I wouldn’t recommend it and it’s not something most of us would have picked on our own. Then I went over and had lunch and a private bridge lesson with someone who is really trying to learn the game.
