Weather got really nasty around 1am-the boys came running in to our house because they heard the tornado siren. Lost that hour of sleep, granted
I slept most of yesterday anyway.
Chicklette’s church drama team did their shows at a center for neglected and abused kids this past Saturday. She has decided she wants to volunteer there on weekends. So glad that even tho sometimes she may act like a selfish brat sometimes, that she really is a good girl that sees how lucky she has it and wants to help others.

    Mornin!

Seems it got pretty rough here, too. Anxious for daylight.

    That’s great about Chicklette!

  3. parrotmom says:

Good morning eveyone. If it was rough I have no clue. The backyard is still a little dark to see if anything is a miss. I hope everyone in that line of bad storms was safe and no casualties. I hope you all have a great day. Love, hugs, and prayers to all..
    Happy Monday :)

  4. Mrs. H says:

I’m betting that Mr. H is re-thinking his decision NOT to work from home today.

  5. Molly says:

Mornin. I heard wind and rain at some point during the night, but it sure is a gorgeous morning now.

  6. Molly says:

Kiddo has decided NOT to graduate early. Summer school was the deal breaker. All Rankin County summer school classes are held at Brandon High School and start at 7:30 AM! She would have to leave the house before 7:00. She doesn’t have a car. So, either I would have to take her and be back at work by 8:00 and spend lunch hour every day going to pick her up, or she would drop me off at work at 6:45 am (I DON’T THINK SO!) and I wouldn’t have a car to go to lunch. And Kiddo is most definitely NOT a morning person.

Mawnin’ y’all. A clap of thunder in the distance about 2:30 this morning. Got up, checked the weather radar, and waited and waited, but no high winds or pouring rain. It did drizzle a wee bit.

Beautiful day out there. I’m thinking about an adventure on two wheels.

  9. Molly says:

Got computer problems at the office today. Can’t open Word (where I do 95% of my work). Can’t print from Excel or the Internet. Looks like I’ll have a quiet morning. I’m taking the afternoon off to take Kiddo for her MRI. Hopefully, someone can get it working by tomorrow.

MORNING! Flitting through. It was rainy in our neck of the woods, but Thank God the wind and hail died down before it crossed into Pontotoc. Beautiful morning out there today.

I moved my swing feeder to the old tv cable line that runs from my light pole to the carport across my back yard. As I went to make my coffee it was yellow with finches chirping over their morning seed.

Late yesterday afternoon I saw one of the reddest cardinals I’ve ever seen. I think he is one of my little ones from this year.

My chickens are laying again! And my second generation hens are giving me some eggs, too. After I gave up and bought 30 two weeks ago. However, these young chickens got the Arachuana gene and are laying green eggs, well, dark yellow eggs with green shells. PRETTY!!!!

  11. Mrs. H says:

I was wondering why I was ready so early this morning: I do not have a bit of make-up on!! Oh My!! Well, at least I don’t have to worry about it running in the rain.

  12. Mrs. H says:

It is absolutely NASTY here. Gray, drizzly. I’m wearing my Frogg Toggs and Sloggers.

  13. Airwolf says:

Morning, almost noon. I took Mom to an early doctors appointment! Miraculously took only ten minutes.

We had lots of heavy rain but wind wasn’t too bad. We’re waiting for our roofer to put on our new roof! It leaked in our bedroom pretty bad. I hope he hurries. Beautiful sunshine though.

    Later………

  14. dhcoop says:

Went to McDades and got a plate lunch. They had turkey pot roast. Looks like beef. About to try it.

  15. OldBopper says:

Ahem, may I have your attention? Just returned from a ride on Boule on the glorious day. Life is good!

  16. blues4you says:

Been waiting on orders since noon yesterday.

Got word a few minutes ago. End of job procedures should take me into thursday.

Now, I just got to decide which cajun restaraunt to go to tonight. There’s four really good ones within a 20 mile radius.

    • cardinallady says:

Bllluuuueeeesssss. so when are we going out to eat? Cajun sounds so good!

This comes from a girl that had deer hash for lunch. Well it was deer hash with cottage cheese and an egg in it, microwaved enough to cook the egg, then a little more cottage cheese. Was goood!

  17. parrotmom says:

    Evening!!!

  18. dhcoop says:

    Evenin

Cooler tonight, but not too bad. It was a gorgeous day.

  19. pncpnthr says:

In honor of my cousin and despite my desperate attempts at loosing weight I made a batch of fudge tonight….didn’t eat all of it…may be up the rest of the night…

  20. msblondie says:

fixed tilipia (??) with lemon and rosemary and some cut potatoes with butter and rosemary. it was good… even had little apple pie in honor of national pie day.

trying to cook healthier but not loosing flavor.
