Mornin
It’s almost 6 am and I’m chilly. Although, I don’t feel nearly as cold as I did before I heard the high today in Fairbanks will be -20.
That’s Jack London’s To Build A Fire kind of cold.
No kidding. They also said in some other little town I can’t remember, that they thought they had broken a record yesterday with -80, but they couldn’t be certain since the thermometer broke at -78. I can’t even imagine.
Good morning at 6:35 it didn’t feel too bad at 5:30 outside. Looking for a lovely day. Everyone enjoy and have fun.
mornin. here. gotta get two pages one before my meeting at ten
Mawnin’ y’all. Our cardinals are talking to me. We have 10 t0 12 cardinals that stay in our backyard and feed at our feeders. About a week ago, I was sitting at the kitchen table which is by a window and one of the cardinals brushed against the window screen. I thought he had accidentally flown into the screen. But when I looked out to the patio, he was standing on the concrete looking at me. Then when I went back and sat down at the table, I looked up and had about four cardinals sitting on the roof edge of the carport staring into the window. The bird feeders were empty and thought it coincidental.
The feeders are empty again and the same thing just happened again. I’m about to go fill the feeders.
OB, that is VERY cool! And, there’s no doubt in my mind that they are communicating their need.
morning gang! everyone have a good day.. looks like we might have some rain.
Mornin. Coworker is out this week and next, so I’ve got the place to myself. Well, me and the lawyers. Busy, busy.
Kiddo found out Friday about her senior class trip. They are planning to go to ITALY! Of course, Kiddo wants to go. She wants a car. She wants to go to college. She wants to go to Italy. Dang! That kid’s expensive. We told her that the only way she can go to Italy is if she makes AND SAVES at least half of the trip cost, plus her spending money. We don’t have money for any 1 of those 3, let alone all three. She has 2 years. The trip is planned for March 2014. She spent the weekend applying for jobs.
Why do they plan senior trips for places so expensive that so few could possibly go? It doesn’t seem right to me.
What’s the verdict on her knee? If you gave us an update, I missed it.
Molly that is one reason we decided not to do a trip with our Senior class (M). The expense is just too much. We are putting together a night for them to do some different things – this is the night of graduation.
Coop, the MRI showed nothing wrong. Don’t know why it still bothers her. She says it is not hurting all the time, but it locks up from time to time. If it doesn’t get better soon, we’ll go to MS Sports Medicine and see what they can figure out.
MsB, in addition to the senior trip, the senior class at NWR also has Grad Night where they go to “surprise” locations throughout the night after graduation and end it with a breakfast. That costs another couple hundred. I really need to figure out how to grow money on trees.
Someone needs to tell AW it’s Tuesday. heh
Let’s not get technical!!
I’m in VBS Mad Science mode. We’ll have a magnet day this year, for sure. I was just looking at sources for iron filings. One that I saw had an option for free gift wrapping. Now, I just thought that was incredibly funny for some reason. Is getting iron filings for your birthday anything like getting lumps of coal for Christmas?
Wow! I just pulled up the Clarion Ledger website and saw a screaming exercise instructor’s face. That instructor is my brother. Interesting story. I’ve never seen that side of him. I think a story written by me would have a whole different slant.
A really awesome message from Marshall today on his Fit-to-fat blog. “Get your mind Right”. It’s good for whatever your struggle is or how high you feel like that mountain is growing. Fear in me now is so overwhelming. I’ve got to remember this.
Molly good luck on all the “I wants”. Hopefully they will trim down some once she decides which she would prefer the most.
Evening. Had a nice ride late this afternoon. It was pleasurable not to have to dress warmly. That’s probably all the riding I’ll get in this week.
