Good morning 7:00 am and home for the moment. PD is getting a day pass to venture home today. We will see how that goes and with any luck he may make it our of the car and into the house. So far out of 5 tries in practice only one exit by me. The odds are not in my favor.

Prayes for AW and his family and hope his father is still doing well and they find out what happened soon, but as he said weekends are rather slow no matter what hospital you are in.

Everyone have a blessed Sunday and enjoy—NO RAIN!!!

PM, My prayers are with you. I remember bringing Mr. H home from the ER at midnight after his bike was rear-ended several years ago. I pulled as close to the front door as possible and as far as he could make it was to stand upright holding onto the door. He managed to get back into the car and we went to the church and I borrowed a wheelchair. (having keys to the church is a wonderful thing!) After being dismissed from the ER at 12, I think the eldest and I had him actually through the front door by 2:30 a.m.
If you are on good terms with any of your neighbors, DON’T BE AFRAID TO ENLIST THEIR ASSISTANCE. You would do the same for them. I know you would.

Mornin. Hope your dad is still doing better, AW.
Clucky, my back surgery was the best thing in the world for my relationship with Kiddo. Before I was home those 8 weeks, we could hardly be in the same room together. Then I was home most of the summer and we were forced to be together. We actually TALKED and we talked about everything. She was 12 at the time. She would turn off the tv and say “let’s talk.” I would tell her to pick a topic and she would want to talk about boys, peer pressure, friendships. All great topics that are usually hard to get a 12 year old to listen to.

    Mornin!

Got the room painted that Dad wanted done
But the best Birthday present I gave him was getting their computer back up and running. Mom said he had been lost without his game (he’s addicted to Spider solitaire ). He was SO excited when he got up this morning and I surprised him with a running PC. First thing he did was sat down and pulled the game up while saying “thank you, thank you, thank you…” LOL! It was great!

So glad you figured it out! I know big sis worked on it so I didn’t even try! It would have ended up out in the yard!

Morning, headed back to hospital in a few. Dad had a good night vitals are good. Negative for meningitis. Supposed to meet with the doctor this morning.

  6. OldBopper says:

Morning gang! AW, hope this finds your Dad doing much better. Parrot Mom, I know it’s been a long time, but PD appears to have made lots of progress. I hope y’all are successful in getting into the house. I know the parrot would like to see him.

Went to Denny’s for breakfast and had a wonderful waitress. I came home and sent an email to the manager complimenting her. She was way out of her league. She would do well at an expensive customer oriented facility.

YES! No rain. We need about a week to dry out. I’m about to go fill up the bird feeders before they think I have abandoned them.

  7. Molly says:

Just did my taxes. Really wish I hadn’t. Now I’m depressed.

  8. Airwolf says:

Visited with Dad and spoke with the doctor. He’s now ruling out what it isn’t! He said he was moving Dad to a regular room for comfort since he is stable and vitals are good and consistent.

PM I pray you and PD have a good day!

Thank you guys for all your kind words and prayers.

I’m sorry to hear that your dad is in the hospital and hope the doctors figure out why real quick so they will know what to do make him well.

  9. parrotmom says:

PD has been home since about 10:00 am or so. Was able to get him out of the car on first try—-Yea Me!!!! The parrot is a little skiddish. He is going to have to get used to PD in a wheelchair, but he is making progress. The Parrot just had the best shower he has had in a while. Now back to how to arrange the den to make it all work. So far no good ideas yet, but I have till Friday.

  10. parrotmom says:

Still Praying for you AW I hope they get an answer as to what it was that happened and glad he is going to a regular room.

  11. parrotmom says:

Well we made it back without incidence.

I hope everyone enjoys the game.

    Evenin

I’m actually watching a ballgame. By myself. I’ve been told I’m for the Giants. I’m fine with that. I’ve always liked the jolly green one.

  13. parrotmom says:

Lol Coop on liking the jolly green giant. I think Madonna did a pretty good job at halftime.

  14. dhcoop says:

Madonna was awesome. We are the same age
What is wrong with this picture? ?

    • CornPop says:

Oh, she definitely puts me to shame! I was actually very surprised at her performance. IMHO, she did an excellent job combining her past successes and the fact that she is now a mom that writes children’s books. I was impressed and think she did well.

  15. parrotmom says:

    Way to go Giants :)

  16. dhcoop says:

Well, I can’t say I paid much attention, but I did have the game on the TV. I was a actually looking at a seed catalog and planning a garden…however, I did watch a few commercials, enjoyed Madonna ‘s show (sorta), learned that football players wear baseball hats and a lot of makeup, and that I need to get my butt in gear to get in better shape. If a woman my age can prance around in 6 inch stilettos, I can definitely do better…
