Hey. Wake up, everybody! You’re gonna be late! it’s after 7:00 already.
Morning at 7:22 am. I could not believe Itty Bitty stayed in until around 4:00 this morning she even ventured into the den on her own. I guess she knows this is the girls house and no males around :) They both were so cute together laying on the rug infront of the little freezer in the kitchen. Side by side enjoying each others company.
Prayers to all CornPop, Orville, AnnO, IronGhost –you never know when cancer will raise its unly head again if ever. Prayer for OB, PQ, MrsH may they keept their sanity as the months drwindle down to there daughters big day. Prayers for everyone else when you read someone’s problem that makes yours look like a mole hill, I know it is a mountain to you too. So please don’t shun away for asking for a prayer or getting on a soap box. It helps those of us struggling to remember we are not the only one.
Mornin!
Blues, I’ve been up since about 5. Already at work. Having fun with my new project.
Hope everyone has a great day!
I just got a text from Cub (my nephew). He said to check out Google’s home page. He said he saw it and immediately thought of me! Proud, I am!
Mawnin’ y’all. Thanks for the kind words PM. I agree we all need to think about each other and understand we all share this big old world of ours and need to work on getting along.
Been at the Capitol about a half hour. Have an 8 am meeting to cover then I think I’m through until the Senate goes in at 10. Going to Dr. this afternoon to see if I really need that cataract surgery.
For those of you familiar with Clinton. Did you know that you can eat three chocolate covered donuts before you get to Davis tire on Springridge :). Yummy!!!!
Oh yes, I had the Diet Dr Pepper to complete the breakfast.
OB I hear that your vision is so much better afterwards.
morning gang! Happy Wednesday.
I had a cool ride in this morning.. on 20 W heading toward 220 was behind a bunch of Nascar Haulers headed to Phoenix. Got a picture of Jamie McMurray’s and posted up on FB.
Morning everybody! The birds set up a lovely tune for me this morning while I was spending a few moments over a cup of coffee enjoying the sunshine from my bedroom window.
Yesterday was kind of hard. The city tore down the old house that Jon and I lived in when he was a baby. I loved those old boards. I cried. Last night I went there and pulled two of them out and carried them home with me. Going to get Jon to make us something special out of them.
The only thing that gave me peace was grandmother’s words. Before she died she told me to not worry about her house. “It will be Mark’s house when I die, I won’t have any more use for it.” I realized in that moment last night that I could never go back to that house and I didn’t have any more use for it. God is GOOD. ALL THE TIME!!!
CL, you watched, you cried, you grieved, you rejoiced and then you moved on. That is peace.
Hello everybody! How is everyone this morning? Quiet here, my co-worker is out today for a personal day. Students are in exam mode – so in other words- staying out of this office.
Hubby still unemployed (one year now) but we are healthy and my precious son has opened his home to us. Things don’t get any better than that.
Prayers for all AW, PM, PD, CP, CP, Clucky and many others. Please be with my friends named and unnamed. Bring your special peace to them in these difficult times.
Afternoon folks. I’ve puttering around in my yard. Wind has got so high I came in.Rain is all around us, got a little rain last night sometime.
I’m going to pick up Mom around 3 and let her visit Daddy. I hope the rains have subsided by then. I hope your afternoon is good and passes stress free.
Hello. Been looking at all the reports of tornado damage. Looks like the main strip of Branson was hit pretty hard. I need to check on some friends in Kentucky and see how they have fared today.
BTW, if any of you just happen to be in the Castlewoods area of Flowood during banking hours, drop by the Trustmark there at Lakeland @ Grants Ferry/Castlewoods Blvd. There is an art exhibit from NWR in there. Kiddo painted a picture of the Raymond castle and it is displayed. And…as long as you are in there…please vote for said castle painting! :) Vote early and often!
I am saddened at the death of Davy Jones. I was so in love with him when I was a kid. ♫”Hey, hey, we’re the Monkees. People say we monkey around.” ♫
Oh no! I loved him too!
He died of an apparent heart attack in Florida this morning. He was 66.
I was always a Monkees fan, never a Beatles one! So sad that Davy passed. I think the other 3 are still with us?
At the Drs office. He is just doing an evaluation today. If needed, surgery at a later date.
If you are interested, and are a Facebook friend of mine, check out the pictures I posted on FB of Kiddo’s art work. The first ones are of the castle mentioned above and the others are previous works of art from several years ago. She took painting classes at Michaels from age 8 to 10 and produced some unbelievable work. Then she got burned out and quit. She’s had some art classes at school the last couple of years and the castle painting is from one of those.
Very nice!! She is really talented!!
I’m home and worn out – been out playing with the old folks again.
Cataract surgery on left eye scheduled for March 19. Right eye to follow at later date.
Question, has anybody had any experience with the implanted toric lens to correct astigmatism? I don’t think I’m going to do that, but it is an available option.
I didn’t know they could do that. Interesting. I’m not currently wearing toric lenses, but my eyes change a lot and sometimes I have to have them.
PINE POLLEN SUCKS!!!
AMEN!!
evening eveyone, Molly the paintings kiddo did are awesome!
Thanks, PM!
Implanted toric lenses? AWESOME. I remember getting contacts for the first time while in nursing school. Took us 4 or 5 tries to get the right lens for my left eye, which has a mean astigmatism due to a closed head injury when I was around 3 yrs old. I also have a rare condition called “bear tracks” in the back of that eye due to the blunt force trauma. I was 19 when I had my first eye exam, and the opthamologist was excited- he had been practicing for 20 years, and I was the first case he had with that condition. He even took 2 pictures of it-one for the chart, and one for me. My kids thinks it’s “cool” when they see the polaroid.
Another sleepless night I wasted. I should have painted some on Chicklette’s room.oh well..busy day ahead, so I’m getting up at 4:06 to get done what I can before heading to Meridian this afternoon.
Love y’all.
PS Where is the Rankin castle?? Oh, and Skyler did AWESOME tonight on American Idol. It was the first time I’ve watched, and she was fantastic! She has some decent competition, but her charisma added to her voice and beauty (inside and out) make her a very likely contender! I might have to flip between the results show and Swamp People tonight. LOL
