   Very proud of you; I can’t think of a more deserving person. Congratulations!

   I read all the farewell columns in Sunday’s paper. I’m very disappointed that the C-L is shaving off the best talents with the longest tenure. There will be little left to read regarding local news. I know this started around the time you were cut to part-time-isn’t that when Orley Hood was canned? He was one of my favorites. I liked his Facebook post to his former coworkers that were let go, telling them they will feel like Andy Dufresne in Shawshank Redemption when he came out of that pipe. Probably a lot of truth to that sentiment.

   WLOX did a story about this last night, but all they showed were the Gulf Coast recipients. I was hoping for at least a group shot that included you.
