LOL!!! Good morning to you all. Happy “trash” I mean Tuesday :) I don’t want to get up. Congrats to you LegalE on your new computer I hope it brings you lots of pleasure.

  2. Mrs. H says:

I got home at 8:30 last night. Today might just be the same kind of day. Tomorrow will be even later getting home, but it will involve going to see a drum corps competition in H’burg rather than meetings and registering.

Have a productive day. Make stuff happen.

  3. Mrs. H says:

Leagle, download some anti-virus software: AVG and Avast both have some free stuff. CNet has links to a bunch of stuff.

    Mornin!

It’s trash day, alright!! I’m ready to go to battle with Waste Management! First, they become unreliable about picking up our trash, then stopped completely, tell us they changed our pickup time to during the night, and they STILL haven’t gotten it! grrrrr

Mornin! Was too busy to peck in a word edgewise yesterday. I met myself coming and going.
I’m enjoying a sip of black coffee from the Biloxi cup that I bought when I went on the only Gulf Coast vacation I ever had with my grandparents. Seagulls are flying into a red sky over a bluegreen ocean. A small boat is hooked up to a post sunk into the rocks. Come Saturday morning at this time I will be seeing seagulls. And not too long afterward afterward Cardnial Son and I will be having breakfast at Waffle House on highway 90 looking at the ocean. *siiiiigggghhhh*

But until then, back to the word mine. Got to get this paper to bed and next week’s ready before I leave here. Yall have a good day. Love you!

Mrs. H I hope you have a great day!
Blues, brother how are things going with you? Parrotmom, I think about you often, I know that things are still not easy as you go through this adjustment. I love you my dear. If anything happens to Banjo next week while I’m gone, please somebody text me. I know Cluckster and OB have my number.

Alright I’ve gotta fly! But not without a prayer first.

Dear Lord, please give us wisdom and discernment to accomplish today’s tasks with your love and kindness. Let us get things done in a timely manner and love our fellow man no matter what life throws at us. May we never be too busy to stop and reach out to others for this life is but a fleeting vapor that will soon be ended in eternity. Thank YOU EVER SO MUCH for YOUR love. WE love you. In Jesus’ name AMEN

  7. OldBopper says:

    Morning folks.
Congrats to LE on the new ‘puter!
MsB, hope you can stay upright today.
Blues, let me know if you come back early and I’ll come up and watch you make a fresh batch of ice cream.
Cardinal, hope you have great weather on your trip to the coast. Just don’t let AW know where you’re going….I’m beginning to think we need to call him the Rain Man.
    Ya’ll have some fun today!!

Stumbles through door, falls flat on his face……gets up brushes self off… I’m good.

Will have some ice cream with your name on it just as soon as I get home, OB. I was hoping to be here 40-50 days. Looks like it will only be 25 or so. That should be around Aug 1-3. I’m sure ALL my neighbors are looking forward to hearing your new pipes.

Do what Mrs.H said Legal. And enjoy your new computer. I hope it’s fast as lightning.

Hope your migration to the coast is enjoyable, cardinal.

    Y’all pass a good day.

  9. parrotmom says:

Blues glad you are ok after stumbling through the door. I haven’t had homemade ice cream in years. I can’t remember back that far. I remember the church I grew up in. We would have an ice cream social once a year. All sorts of homemade flavors to chose from, yummy!!

CardinalLady thanks for the fine prayer you said for all of us. I sure needed one.

Coop good luck with your trash pickup. Maybe they will get their cans together :)

  10. Mrs. H says:

Easy orange sherbet recipe: 2 liter bottle of orange crush, 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk, (optional 1 can (4.25 oz) drained crushed pineapple.) Chill the orange crush and the pineapple if you have a chance.

Put it all in an ice cream freezer and let it churn. It may not get hard enough to stop the freezer from churning, but after 30 – 40 minutes, it should be done.

    • OldBopper says:

Oh my that sounds good!!! Might have to try that in our Kitchen Aid mixer ice cream freezer.

    • msblondie says:

that is one of my favorite recipes. it is so easy – we leave out the pineapple.

the Neih (sp) flavors work great with it also. We would do this at scout camp. Put the mix in a 1lb coffee can. seal the lid with some duct tape. Put the small can into a larger can (3lb). Then put the ice and rock salt in layers. Then roll it back and forth between 2 girls about 20 feet or so apart. Works great and kept us entertained for a while.

  11. OldBopper says:

I finally put up a motion sensing light that shines on our back door. The way our house is constructed, we only use the back door. The top half of the door is glass and I have always had a fear of answering the door in the middle of the night only to have someone firing shots at me when I cut on the kitchen light.

The other night, about 3 am, PQ awoke me saying she heard somebody knocking on the back door. It has happened before. So I grabbed a pistol, ran down to the basement, opened that door so I could see up to the back door. Shined a flashlight and saw no one. (The same flashlight that embarrassed a bunch of nekked girls on the beach last summer when they woke me up in the middle of the night.) Then I came up, turned on the spots and still didn’t see anybody. I made up my mind not to get in that situation again.

Now if I see that light shining in the middle of the night, I’ll go through the great room and out on the screen porch where I can see them in plain view, if they are there. There’s still no way in hell that I’m going directly to the back door in the middle of the night, light or no light. But I will feel more comfortable checking out the ghosts and goblins.

    • Mrs. H says:

I’ve thought I heard someone knocking before, only to find the dog is leaning against the door, thumping it in the process of scratching. I should have known that if there was no barking accompanying the knocking, there was no one there. However, I suppose if they silenced my dog first . . . . Ooooo, I don’t even want to contemplate….

  12. msblondie says:

have stayed off the floor today for the most part. had to finish hooking up one computer from yesterday’s move that didn’t get done. (it is a training machine so not in use right now).
But gotta help hubby cut the grass tonight. our yard looks bad since both neighbors have cut theirs.

  13. parrotmom says:

PD’s and my headstone/marker is in place. It looks really nice. I think PD would have been proud if he was to have helped design it hisself. I guess I am probably strange to think it is like a piece of art.

  14. Mrs. H says:

Went to finish registering my girls at school. We beat the rain and El’s school picture will probably look great. However, as we were leaving, the gale set in. Covered walkways do nothing for horizontal rain. We were all absolutely sopping wet as we got in the car. I was wearing a white shirt, and in the process of trying to keep it from becoming transparent, I forgot that the manila folder I was carrying was red. Lovely! Then we were 6 minutes after they close when we arrived at C-Spire to get El’s new phone activated. So to WalMart to get something for supper. It was breathtakingly cold as we walked in the door. Our clothes and hair were dripping a trail through the store as we got what we needed.

I have never been so glad to be warm and dry with supper in the oven.

  15. Mrs. H says:

    Sad.

Em told me that the wife of one of their teachers had a miscarriage today.

  16. parrotmom says:

MrsH nothing like a summer shower. I hope none of you get sick from being so wet. Prayers for the woman who had the miscarriage.
