An a Happy Friday to you too! It’s 5:15 am. The water stopped leaking into the basement about 5 am. Now I need to pick up debris out of the yard and try to cut grass later today. According to NWS records, we had 4.66 inches of rain at the Jackson Airport over the past two days and another .52 inches since midnight.
I can’t imagine getting 20 inches of rain!
Hope everybody has a great Friday! Smiles and hugs to all!
Good morning and Yea Friday made it and a three day weekend. No going to work Saturday :) Hope you all have a good day.
Morning! We have not had any measurable ran. We have had some wind and sprinkles. I hope all are well. Has anyone heard from Tank?
Mornin. Tank hasn’t posted anything on Facebook since Wednesday. I bet her power is out.
Mornin!
Happy Friday, indeed! Let’s make it a good one. Hoping for power by tonight!
Looks like the graph for our river is starting to level off. It was looking a bit exponential on the rise there for a bit. Now it’s at 20.76 feet. Almost 3 feet above flood stage. Dr. T’s rain gauge measured 21 inches since Tuesday. I believe it!
morning gang! Yes Happy Friday!
I have heard from some of my friends on the coast.. all are well a couple did get some water in their homes and businesses. but they are all safe. I know my dad was still trying to find a few yesterday and I don’t know if he did.. one family rode Katrina out in their attic so he is really worried about them, he couldn’t get them to come up here this time either.
Lot to do. everyone have a good day!
Tank is having breakfast at McD’s with the reds. All is well…
Molly, you were right, no power for them.
Morning! Flying through! gotta go to a meeting. Today is my Monday since we get the Labor Day holiday.
MrsH I saw the sand for Tank to. Glad they are ok. The sun is trying to make its appearance today. A friend/co-workers daughter was in an accident in Wednesday. She went to school today and she became disoriented — doctor said possible concussion– so sending her to have a cat scan.
Wasting away again in Margaritaville, searching for my lost shaker of salt, some people would say, there’s a woman to blame…ok, that obnoxious duo, Kathie Lee and Hoda, are in the Bahamas and sharing their songs this morning. They are the reason I have started turning on The Price is Right after GMA and Kelly go off.
I guess it’s party time around here for the next few days since BE and I have an anniversary tomorrow, then Labor Day, then BE’s birthday on the 5th. Let’s see if I can work myself up into party mode for the events. In the meantime, Jeremiah was a bullfrog, was a good friend of mine, Joy to the world, Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea, Joy to you and me…
Thanks LE for the brain itches this morning :)
I just looked out my back door in time to see a wall of rain advancing from the neighbor’s yard up to our house. Isn’t the sun supposed to be blazing down on us now?
We just had a big shower here, too. Now the sun is shining. They said this morning that there would be showers on and off all day.
Less than an hour.
They are saying my friends daughter does not have a concussion all labs are normal. They say it is strictly trauma that has caused her to be disoriented and not herself. They are transferring her to another hospital. Please keep her in your prayers.
Will do.
BE has been expecting a package for a week and found out it was being delivered by UPS. He was walking the dog this morning and came back in and found a note on the door that they had been here and gone and I was in the house the whole time. Now we’ve got to go down to McDowell Road between 7:00 and 8:00 tonight to try to retrieve said package. Well, damn!
I’ve got the 6-quart Nesco filled with Swiss steak which will cook for at least 3 hours and then be served over rice with ???? and biscuits to ladle that wonderful tomato gravy over.
Howdy! Got my girl to the band hall at 6. Asked if they were marching in rain boots-she said no. Before I made it home, I get a text: BRING MY BOOTS ASAP!! So it’s raining AGAIN, 3rd Friday night in a row. I wonder if the rain will stop before the game?
WHOA. PM has 3 days off IN A ROW?!
Dang we need to crash her pad and have a hen party!
We could have a, er, parrot party!
Woo Who, with LegalE already singing the head Parrotman’s songs. LOL!!!
Evenin!
I HAVE POWER!!! God bless all those awesome linemen!!!
Y’all don’t forget that tonight, if you can see it, is the last “Blue Moon” until 2015. And remember to give it a wink for Neil Armstrong. That was all his family wished for.
Now to catch up on stuff…

Our game is tomorrow, after I decorate the children’s theater to look like an airport.
We slept through the mud bog that was our game. We beat Clarkdale!
I’ve been awake since 430. Thinking of hopping in the shower and going to my first ever big honkin’ (that’s a technical term) estate sale in Meridian. It’s at the Rosenbaum home. It would be neat, but I’m not really feeling it. I will, however, be doing the same thing Leagle did this week: procuring a new laptop. I apparently stepped on mine within a couple of weeks of my surgery back in January. Screen is toast, and I can get a new laptop for the price of just the screen. Good timing too with all the Labor Day sales this weekend. I should give in with all the Apple folks, but I’ve always used Windows and this old dog is not up to any new tricks. All my photo editing software is Windows based. And if you’ve wondered how I’ve been posting on here since January, thank my iPhone. It gets really old, really fast.
Okay…to get that shower. TTFN :)
Good morning (7:57 am) It’s quiet and foggy here. I still haven’t seen the sun since Tuesday! Maybe when the fog burns off.
