Marshall I hope you are getting a break some this weekend too!!!

Good morning to you all. 8:16 am. Need to get my car to the tire place to get my tire fixed—has broken bolt in it of all things. Then I need to get to the backyard and mow the hay.

MrsH I hope you see the sun today. It does make a body feel good. Clucky hope you are doing well.

Morning! Not motivated to do a lot today. Probably going to Iuka to a Civil War reenactment!

I hope your day is pleasant and restful.

Morning! Headed to Mom’s for a crochet day, resisting the urge to go buy more thread before I go. Found more cute patterns yesterday. I really need to get caught up on the patterns (with yarn) I have before I buy more. It’s tough!!

Everyone have a good day. My ballgame isn’t on until tonight! Hotty Toddy!

    AW I like the reinactments.

Thanks PNC I was wondering when the Bears played not that I plan to watch them. Tire is fixed, 6 fresh chocolate donunrs devoured. Nor for the hay in the back yard.
Oops got to catch a flying parrot. Note to self get wings clipped this week.

That would be the Rebels, PM. The bear is just the mascot. Think “Alabama Crimson Tide”. Their mascot is an elephant.

      • parrotmom says:

Thanks PNC for that info, LOL!!! I am not against the Reb’s hope they fair well. LSU on the other hand is a different story.

Back yard done. I had to stop on the last 1/4 of it. The grass had to be 10 inches tall and thick, thick. No weedeating, but did spray some week killer on most of the vines although I still can get poison ivy from a dead vine. Glad it done.

Afternoon. Went for a ride this morning because the weather experts said rain this afternoon. I missed out on a huge ride to Meridian because of the weather report. Oh well, guess I’ll just watch some football this afternoon.

I see where the Rebels are playing mighty Central Arkansas. Central Arkansas? Central Arkansas are the Bears….the real bears. And watch out Ole Miss, they have a scrappy team.

  7. pncpnthr says:

I think today’s games will be interesting, for sure. I’m just glad the season has started!
And I’m with you, PM. I’m for any team that’s playing LSU!

1:35 p.m. I know y’all will find this hard to believe, but it’s pouring down rain and thundering big time in Pearl.

BE came up with a good idea for our anniversary. I mentioned that I wish we had a reservation for the restaurant at the golf course in Vicksburg that OB was talking about recently and BE said he could go to California and I could go to Chicago. OK, after he gets in route to California, I could take off for who knows where.

BE ordered Dragon so he can talk into the computer and let it do the typing for him, so now he can write that book. I’m going to get his autograph now before the line forms.

The airport lobby is created on the stage. Planes are circling in the hallway and UpStreet Airline signs are posted conspicuously. My work is done . . . at the church. Now, we’re moving up the toe kick thing at the bottom of the wall in the hallway anticipating carpet installation on Thursday. They had to move it back a day due to the down days last week due to Isaac.

The girls are at their game. I decided not to rush up there just for halftime. They are playing from the sidelines rather than marching their show. The eldest and her beloved are in Starkvegas, attending a reunion of all their best friends.

  10. Old Bopper says:

It thundered and stormed! I found out how to get the games streamed live on my computer.

Legal, hope y’all have a great dinner. My friends who eat steak out swear that Roca’s has the best they have ever tasted. I wouldn’t know.

    • pncpnthr says:

Are you getting the Ole Miss game streamed live? DO TELL!! Would love to watch but have never had any luck finding games online!

    Evenin!

Been raining and storming on and off all day here in Gtown. I’ve been watching movies and being generally lazy.

From what I heard, Ole Miss games are blacked out unless you pay extra to see. And, did I understand correctly that Alabama mascot is an elephant?? For real?? How in the world did that happen?? That almost makes the whole “black bear” thing a little better since I KNOW Teddy Roosevelt didn’t hunt elephants in Alabama. Just sayin…

  12. Old Bopper says:

I don’t think Ole Miss is being streamed for free. Just google college games streamed free. Most of them come from ESPN or ABC. I wanted it so I could watch games when the rain washes out my satellite signal.

  13. Old Bopper says:

Bama has opened a big can of “whoop ass” against Michigan.

  14. Old Bopper says:

Southern boys are just naturally faster than their Northern opponents.

  15. Legal Eagle says:

If I don’t win Powerball or Mega Millions this time, it won’t be for the usual reason, the fact that I don’t have a ticket. We got tickets this time and stopped back by Ameristar for the seafood buffet. Since today kicks off oyster season, they had tons of oysters on the half shell and oysters on the grill with fresh grated parmesan cheese and I think it was cajun seasoning on them. This is the first time in a long time that the crab legs weren’t overcooked and you could actually crack them and get long pieces of meat out of them. The frog legs were cooked just right too.
