Mawnin’ y’all. Had basement leakage most of yesterday afternoon. Then the water alarm went off again about 2 am. I love that alarm. It allows us to get to the leak before a glass full leaks in. I know where that underground spring is. When I become wealthy, I’m gonna have a back hoe dig me a ditch about 15-20 feet deep and have a concrete slurry wall built with french drains on both sides of it to stop and capture the flow and redirect it away from the house.

Morning! brrr! A LITTLE chilly out there. The clouds can’t decide what they want to do. They are part cold, part warm and it’s creating a splotchy effect on the sky.

I sent a text to my brother this morning to see how his son fared they live in Petal. Do you think he could reply? Same as he did me Saturday when I sent him a simple reminder about our long lost brother on the coast birthday. Do you think he could have replied? No to both. I did text my nephew at lunch and did not get a reply, but he could have another number or the cell phone tower could be messed up. I am sure my brother will call me tonight and want to rattle while he is at work and driving from Magee to Jackson.
Baked brownies this afternoon. Taking them to the Capitol tomorrow.
