    Marshall,

I believe that coincidence is God’s way of staying anonymous. While looking for something on the internet, an article of yours came up. It was so interesting and inspiring that 20 minutes later, I was still reading some of your excellent writing.

Just want to say thank you very much!

Subject: Bank of Yazoo Speaking engagement

    Mr. Ramsey,

My name is Stephen Harris and I work with the Bank of Yazoo in Yazoo City. We are planning our annual employee meeting and the topic came up about having an outside speaker conduct a presentation. Your name came up during that conversation and I was asked to reach out to see about your availability and any fees associated with your public speaking.

We are scheduled to hold the meeting on Monday February 15th, 2016, which is President’s day. Currently we have a tentative schedule with an opening for a guest speaker at lunch for an hour (maybe a little less once we get everything ironed out) or just after 2:00 P.M.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

    Sincerely,

    Stephen M. Harris

  26. Mr. Ramsey,
Could you please check your availability to come speak to the Tennessee Association of Community Leadership (TACL) on Thursday, October 20, 8:15 – 9:00 a.m., 2016, as the opening keynote speaker. This association is all leadership program directors, board members, volunteers, from across the state. Expected audience would be approximately 100 people. This conference will take place at the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Can you let me know what your fees are and also if you available for this date? My husband heard you speak back in the Summer 2015 at the Tennessee College of Public Relations Association in Gatlinburg, TN, and was very impressed with your presentation.

Thank you for any help you can provide!
Virginia Grimes, Director, WestStare Leadership & TACL Board member

  27. Caron Blanton says:

    Marshall:
Good afternoon. This is your neighbor, Caron Blanton, with a favor to ask you. For my Junior League of Jackson project this year, I am helping to provide educational (and fun!) programs to foster children who come to the Youth Villages offices with their foster parents, who are there for training. This month, our theme is literacy.

I have to apologize for the late notice, but I was wondering if you would be available to read “Banjo’s Dream” to the children on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 6:00 p.m. We would like to purchase enough books for all of the children (there are usually around 8) to have one and would love for you to sign copies for each of them. If you could tell them about your other endeavors, both as an editorial cartoonist and radio host, that would be great too. Once again, my apologies for the late notice!

Please let me know if you’ll be available and if you have any questions.

    Thanks for considering this request!

    Good Morning Mr. Ramsey,

I am with Leaders Credit Union in Jackson, TN, and we are interested in having you as a speaker for our “Employee Enrichment” training on President’s Day, February 20th. One of my co-workers heard you at the TACL conference here last year and was highly recommending you as a motivational and entertaining speaker.

If you have availability that day I would love to talk to you about your fee and your presentation in more detail.

    Thanks so much!

  29. Ryan Upshaw says:

    Mr. Ramsey:

I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Mississippi Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Program (HOBY)! This is a leadership development program for MS high school students. I am serving as the Director of Programs, and I am reaching out to you regarding our 2017 session. This year’s seminar is:

    2017 Mississippi HOBY Seminar
Friday, June 2, through Sunday, June 4
    Millsaps College, Jackson, Mississippi

Throughout the seminar, we have speakers/panelists, and I thought you would be perfect for the Leadership For Society panel. Each panelist gives a brief talk and allows time for questions from the HOBY Ambassadors. I know you are always very busy, but we hope that you can participate. So, we would want to check your availability on the afternoon of Saturday the 3rd. Last year’s panel began at 4:00 that afternoon.

Please let me know when you can about the opportunity for us to have you with us. If interested, I can let you know more about the program. My contact information is below. I hope to hear from you soon.
