Welcome to MarshallRamsey.com. This will be one of my two blogs. You’ll see the cartoons I do for The Clarion-Ledger and occasional posts on The C-L blog. And you’ll see everything else, here on MarshallRamsey.com. Writing, artwork, stuff for sale — you name it. This is Marshall Ramsey HQ. I’ll also chronicle my journey from my former career as the full-time editorial cartoonist for The Clarion-Ledger to something new. Oh, if you’re expecting me to say something negative about the C-L, I won’t — what happened is what it is. I appreciate my current role as a part-time employee for them. While it’s not what I would have chosen, I view it as an opportunity to soar and create a new career. My world didn’t end. It just changed. And that happens to people every day of the week.
So welcome aboard. This will be a place full of fun, hope and levity in a world that seems to be short of all three.
May I be first.
Yes, you may.
Can I change my name to parrotmom?
If you’d like.
I meant to have this as my name.
Hi Marshall,
The Madison County Republican Women would like for you to be our Special Guest Speaker at our 2010 MCRW Christmas Tea on Sunday, December 12th, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. It would be a Book Signing as well so you would have the opportunity to sell your books. I would think that you may sell anywhere from 20-40 books depending on our crowd. The Tea will be located at the Bridgewater Club House in Ridgeland. We would love for you to come if your schedule allows. Also if you are interested we would like to see what it would cost to have you draw a cartoon for our invitation (something for Christmas & Republican or political) would be great. We would take that cartoon and have it framed and give it to the President, Helen Carney.
Please let me know if you can help us…my e-mail is madisoncountymsgop@yahoo.com
Sincerely,
Mary McLaurin
Chairman
Madison County Republican Party

Congrats to you Marhall for now having your own site. Can’t wait to see what comes out of your brain :)
If you need any help setting up or running your web presence here, let me know, I would be more than happy to help. My site is there, and is a WP site as well, so, just making the offer, I wanna get in on the ground floor of Tiny Wheels, LLC before it becomes Marshall Ramsey Media, Inc…
What a wonderful place to follow you! Thanks for allowing us into your future!
Congratulations on your website. I really like what I have seen so far. I hope it is everything you want it to be.
I am part of the MRBA. Do you need more of a name?
Congratulations again for what you’re doing!!
Congratulations, Marshall, and thanks for allowing us to accompany you on this journey. I can’t wait to see where your wit, determination, and compassion take you.
Marshall, you have always been an inspiration to me but never more than in the past few weeks. You have the most positive attitude I have ever seen. I know God is placing you in this scary new place so that you can do something wonderful.
If whining was an Olympic sport, I definitely could win a medal. But the next time I start, I am going to think of you. Thanks for the new blog and all you do for your readers and fans!
I love your drawing at the top. The picture and the stuff flying out of the back end is halarious. Poor ‘possum. :) :)
Marshall.
I have left several e-mails and voice messages for you over the past month at the Clarion-Ledger. I am a Vice President at St. Dominic Hospital – we met at the Madison City Chamber event – and I desire a meeting with you to discuss a couple of potential projects. Please e-mail me (parrington@stdom.com) or call me (cell#: 601.668.0658) at your earliest convenience. Thank you. Paul
Marshall, thanks for taking time out of your very busy schedule to meet with my son, Tanner, on Thursday. He came away from his visit with a better understanding of art and what he needs to do to “make it to the next level.” He also came away with a boost in confidence, which was needed. Thanks again.
Tanner’s a good kid who is blessed with talent. I hope he pursues it. BTW, he left his clipboard down at the C-L
