Good morning! It’s nice to be back in town. Hope you had a great weekend. The Daytona 500 and the Oscars were entertaining.

It’s Monday and rain is on its way. Yea!!!
Marshall glad you had a good trip and are back in the “Land Mass”.
Almost lunch time. Everyone enjoy your day.
Hello? Nobody here but parrotmom? I guess us birds will just have to roost together awhile. I have been busy planning out page one with my editor. Got it done, now for the inside of the paper. *whispering* I might even get to go home before dark today. Won’t that be great?
I must tell yall a story about my new dog. But later. Gotta fly right now.
Good morning. Em is not a happy camper today. Her last chance to break 30 on the ACT was this month. She got the scores today. :( Her calculator was dead so she didn’t do well on the math section (23). Her other scores did go up, but because of the lower math score, the cumulative was lower than last time. I’m hoping the 34 on the English section will sway someone in the Engineering department to offering a departmental scholarship. They like language skills.
Hey folks.
Back to work in east Tx and glad to be here.
Ginger(our shih-tsu) is on the mend from surgery. I hope she gets her appetite back soon. She has lost a lot of weight.
AW, you seem to be attending an awful lot of funerals these days. Sorry, man.
It’s rainin’ here. Ya’ll be careful and have a safe day.
Too many for sure. Two more tomorrow. I also have a dear friend at. The hospice house now. It just served to remind me how fragile and short life is! Tomorrow is not promised!
Happy Monday folks. I hope your day has been pleasant and productive. I’ve spent morning researching and making notes for an important meeting tonight.
MrsH I pulled a 30 and didn’t dare retake it! I figured God smiled on me :-/
And that was without a calculator….way to go AW.
Afternoon. I spoke on saturday’s as I was early this morning.
been a busy morning, but like that makes the day go by.
This afternoon might be nasty time we get off of work… oh the fun. I am just glad I no longer have to drive the interstate to and from work.
Everyone play nice.. I gotta go proof an SOP I just did.
If you saw a staff member of your church wearing a SpiderMan T-shirt in the WalMart parking lot, would you complain to the Staff & Personnel committee?
I just had a lady who is on the S&P committee of another church call to see if we had a dress code for staff members. During the conversation, I learned that this is why she wanted to know. *shakes head in amazement* Why is this committee even considering the idea?
I just love these fine Christians who spend so much of their own free time taking time to see that their fellow men and women are as Christianlike as they are.
Mrs. H, I could write a book, but my short answer is because it is so much easier to develop a list of do’s and don’t’s than to do the hard stuff like “love your neighbor as yourself,” “judge not that you be not judged,” “take care of the poor, the widows, and the orphans.” I call it checklist Christianity (Matthew 23), and it goes a long way toward explaining a lot of what’s wrong with the institutional church today. But that’s just my opinion.
On the silly side, what potential dress code violation would a Spider-Man shirt be?
If said staff member is not doing service in normal capacity what difference would it make. Or we as Christians always dressed in our Sunday go to meetiin clothes when we are on the street or Walmart?
I was wondering that, too, GG. I didn’t realize Spidey was an immoral character. Thought he was one of the good guys.
Some people, I guess, just have to have something to complain about. I’m with you, though, Mrs H: why would the committee even think about responding?
As long as an institutional church has existed, so have the nitpickers and naysayers! So folks would be unhappy if you ran over them in a new Cadillac :/
Those folks would be the first to tell you what good Christians they are.
Hope you all have a good night. Listening to rain fall. My replacement receiver per ups will be here Wednesday. Just nothing on local worth watching in my opinion. I have T
ETV on to there version of American Pickers. Not bad.
I was going to a bridge class over on Lakeland from 5:00 to 7:00, but decided that I didn’t want to be over on Lakeland in the 5:00 o’clock traffic in the pouring rain with tornado watches issued and with no umbrella, so I came home after my afternoon game and watched the Bachelor send the #3 girl home.
Clucky, I had never heard of Outerbanks until you commented and I went to their webpage. These phone folks sure are proud of their stuff. This rubber cover on my I phone was 50 bucks, and there’s nothing to it.
Make that Otterbox. I knew that didn’t look right when I typed it in.
Evening. Looking for a busy day tomorrow. PQ’s desk top refuses to recognize her keyboard. I even tried it with my keyboard with the same result. Looking for a solution as I figure somehow the driver for the keyboard got messed up. Open to suggestions.
