Mornin. Kiddo and I went prom dress shopping this weekend. Bought a pretty gold sparkly one. She sent a picture of herself wearing it to her best guy-friend and he immediately asked her to be his date, so I guess she looks good in it!

I have been working on the kyaker mishap this morning. Running down his obituary for our newspaper. Sad story. Yall, I’ve gotta go. I just wanted to say hi to my dear friends. ((((((((((((hugs and kisses)))))))))))))

Evening. Been busy getting PQ ready to depart for Panama early in the morning. It’s gonna be a lonesome week without her.
Tomorrow is a deadline day in the Legislature. Blood pressures will be up and it’s likely there will be some weeping come 8:00 pm. From then to the end of the session, lobbyists will earn their keep as they try to keep certain pieces of legislation alive. When you have a bill that’s dead to the second degree, you just pray somewhere, there’s a bill alive that has the proper code section in it so you can amend it with the language you need to get passed. It’s not a game for the meek and weak of heart.
We bid farewell to a wonderful, vivacious, sweet lady. She will truly be missed by everyone that knew her. The wind was crazy at the cemetery.
It’s around 3am, and I woke up after a HARD 5 hours of sleep. Now if I can just get back to sleep…. I’m taking my friend for radiation again today (Tuesday.) His scheduled driver is sick. Praying the weather isn’t too bad when we head West at 1230.
