Weighed in today and I was pleased with today’s result. I’m far leaner than I was eight weeks ago. And I have four more weeks to lose about 10 more pounds. My goal has been reset. It’s time to get a little thinner.
Last night, I was out late emceeing a banquet (I pretty much work all the time now, which is a blessing). So naturally, I forgot to put my work clothes in the car this morning. That meant I had to go back home after the workout. It was annoying and a waste of $3.69 gas and an hour. But very symbolic of how dam’ tired I am.
The workout was fine and I stormed through it like a champ. Morgan’s aerobic room was actually fun and I enjoyed Coach Wayne’s drill. My knee is getting healed enough that I can pour on some speed now in the sprints. Well, my version of speed. I worked up a good sweat today and was proud of my effort.
Which leads me to why I do this. It’s not about how I look. It’s kind of about how I feel. But it is definitely about this photo:
It’s about running with my boys. That’s why I do Fit4Change. So when I my sons say, “Dad, lets go run,” we can go run.
At my age, I have to be fit to be a good dad.
That’s what it’s all about for me.
keep up the good work, very inspiring.
