Morning folks, back at work today. Not too happy with what was not done considering I left at 0? Can there be double standards?

Molly I was at Biaggis Saturday afternoon, lots of teens all dressed up.

The kids love to get their pictures taken in front of that big Barksdale fountain at Renaissance.

Good morning y’all. PQ is in McComb. Her mother is ill and in the hospital. She went down there not planning to stay but one night. She called me yesterday wanting me to bring her clothes so she could stay for several days. So, I packed my travel bag and Bleuz and I made the trip. Got my ride in after all.

My MIL has been ill for over 40 years without really being ill so it is hard to tell when her ailments are physical rather than mental. I’ve never met anyone who gets more joy out of ill health. She thought she was having a heart attack but was diagnosed with indigestion. That didn’t suit her so she kept on complaining so they did a scan on her gall bladder. Nothing there so she has a new complaint which would require surgery. Now she says she doesn’t want surgery. That’s probably the best decision she has made in a week.

She supposedly had several heart attacks about 40 years ago but the doctors couldn’t find any signs or heart related problems. So after that she just had “spells”. Finally about 15 years ago she did in fact need a pacemaker. Got that put in and put herself on permanent bed rest. She has been “bedridden” ever since and just loves it when folks make a big deal out of it. After that many years in the bed, she really is weak and get’s dizzy when she gets up. Oh well, enough about that. I think you get the picture. It’s really sad.

It’s supposed to be a beautiful day outside. I hope some of you get to enjoy a bit of it at lunch or after work. Smiles and hugs to all.

Bopper, I couldn’t help but laugh when I read your post. My great-grandmother was the same way. She routinely got sick so that Granddad would have to visit her in the hospital, even though he lived ACROSS the STREET from her. If he didn’t come by her house EVERY day she thought something was wrong. He was just busy. Perhaps it is just as good that PQ is there with her with the bad weather moving across. Maybe her mom won’t feel so ill at ease.

Morning!! It is a beautiful day around here. The trees are finally popping out new leaves. We are getting ready to batton down the hatches. Looks like we are in for a Moby Dick sized storm around here Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Gotta super glue my tail feathers on and make sure there are fresh batteries in the flashlight, and pack the food box … See yall later.

PM, we were there Saturday too. There were at least 6 school proms Saturday night. When we got to the fountain, we had it to ourselves. By the time we left, there were dozens of people waiting to take pics. We timed that one just right.
The kids had a blast at prom. Kiddo was gorgeous-if I do say so myself- and her date was quite good looking, too. They got back home around 1:45 am and kept us up telling the happenings of the night until around 2:30 am.

Molly she was beautiful in the pics I saw. She has grown up a lot since that first picnic I saw her at. There was still groups around that fountain when we were leaving.

OB hope all turns out well with PQ’s mom. Hopefully just needing a little LTC to make her feel better.

    • Molly says:

Thanks, PM! She has grown up. When her date saw her, he stopped in his tracks and said, “Wow! I like it! You look GREAT!” Her dad looked at me and said, “He does know I can hear him, doesn’t he?” I’m not so sure he wanted to let Kiddo out of the house.

  8. cardinallady says:

Alright, I have as much of the paper to bed as I’m gonna get today. I’ve got to get myself busy getting ready for the storm. Hair will be dyed and rolled before I go to bed. :)

  9. OldBopper says:

Molly, she looked beautiful and I can understand that young man’s remarks. But I can also empathise with Daddy.

Moving to this Mac is going to be done at some point. Apparently, I hadn’t plugged my phone into it yet, so now I’m having to start from scratch with all my music if this is going to be my iTunes base. It will be syncing all night.
