Run from the Sun

Saturday was the 10th annual Run from the Sun, a 5K race Keith Warren and I started to help raise awareness about melanoma. What’s melanoma? It’s the most fatal form of skin cancer.  It’s like a crack in your windshield. Caught early, it can be cured. If not, well, the outcome can be dire.

Keith lost his dad Leonard to the disease. I am alive because mine was caught early. We have worked hard to give others the chance I had.

Saturday’s race was a huge success and I am grateful for our many sponsors and volunteers.  It couldn’t have been done with out them. And I want to thank Scott Albert Johnson and Inky the Clown for making it a more fun day.

And I want to thank Keith.  His family’s love of their dad has helped others have the chance to live.

That’s pretty darn awesome if you ask me. 2013_RFS_Logo
