Friday Free-For-All

Good morning! I’ll be speaking in Kosciusko tonight for their Relay for Life tonight. Look forward meeting inspirational cancer survivors and hearing their courageous stories.

As I write, the manhunt continues in Boston. One suspect dead and it sounds like his brother doesn’t have much time left on the run.  Great job law enforcement.

So far CB hot dogs, buns and wmeverything to go them.
    CP and Orville smoked sausage.
PNC variety chips, ice, drinks, water
OB something sweet besides PQ , who is tending to her Mother– prayers for them.
PM stryo plates, cups, plastic wear, paper towels.
    CLady ???watermelons?

I am not sure who is bringing charcoal/ lighter fluid.
Looks like we may need some hamburger patties, not sure if CB means mayo, mustard, or ketchup?

Coop–OB had mentioned you and maters—jokingly!

Looks like we may need some sides dishes as well? Also in the past its been being your own if you prefer something else off the grill.

Oh morning everyone. One more day and picnic time. The weather may start off a little nippy, but will be awesome.

Safe travels to you CLady and son, and everyone else too!

Marshall safe travels to you tonight and hope you have a great turn out at KO!

Morning! The picnic is like a church covered dish dinner. Somehow there will be enough food for everybody. One nice thing about the location; we will be close to plenty of stores.

PQ won’t be able to make it and I can’t make her potato salad. So I’ll look for something else to bring in addition to sweets.

Great work on the part of law enforcement in the ricin case and the Boston bombers! Those Boston boys were hell bent on killing people. I know one is still at large, but they will get him.

  5. Mrs. H says:

We’ll either pick up a bucket of chicken close by the park or I’ll see what I can make today. Mr. H is part of our worship band which is opening the NightOfWorship at ABC tonight. He WON’T be staying for the youth lock-in afterwards!! I’m in charge of pizza delivery at some point tonight.

The bags on the bike are pretty big so I might be able to get a small cooler/insulated lunch bag in there. If I can find white sweet potatoes, I’ll bring potato salad.

I’m trying to find out where in KO. Our actual “Relay for Life” isn’t until May. Someone here at work said there is something going on tonight but didn’t know where…Ugh!

I’m bringing sodas, water & tea (sweet & un) tomorrow, along with chips and such. If anyone has a preference just let me know. :)

  7. Mrs. H says:

The coverage is hypnotic. I need to go to the grocery, but It’s hard to turn off.

  8. Clucky says:

Exactly, MrsH. I’m glued. I’ll make tater salad!!

  9. Cardinallady says:

Hey I need the exa t address of pearl park so I can map it. We r staying at the laquenta in pearl

  10. Molly says:

The only address I can find for it, Card, is Mary Ann Drive, Pearl (no street #). It must be on the corner of Hwy 80 and Mary Ann. From LaQuinta on Pearson Road, you will go north to Hwy. 80; take a right onto Hwy. 80; the park is a couple of miles down on your right. You’ll see pavillions, etc. there. I think you actually need to turn off of Hwy 80 just before you get to the park. If you go too far, it is easy enough to turn around and come back.

    • Molly says:

Card, I just got a better look at a map. It is at the corner of Mary Ann and Hwy 80. You’ll turn right onto Mary Ann and left into the parking lot.
The map LegalE posted on the event page on FB shows it closer to Pearson Road than what I believe it is. Correct me if I’m wrong, Legal.

    • Cardinallady says:

      Thank you Molly !!!

It sounds like the picnic is shaping up to be the best one yet.

I was so hoping to buy a copy of the Boss’s book and get it signed to go with the original drawing from the 1st picnic. This is hurtin’ me.

  12. dhcoop says:

PM, I’m bringing charcoal & lighter, as well as hamburgers. Oh and MATERS!

  13. LegalEagle says:

If you need help from the local resident in guiding you to the pArk, please let me know.

The first installment of my high school class 70th birthday party is tonight from 5:00 to 8:00 at Bass Pro Shop. They just mentioned wanting me to bring the CD’s Old Bopper made for me and I just know I put in a safe place. Heh! OB, if you have ax extra copy , recken I could beg you to bring me another set tomorrow?

I still have to take a bath and get ready. Awwwwkkkkkk ! Flitting off and tearing out feathers as I go.

  14. dhcoop says:

Can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!

  15. Cardinallady says:

Greetings from Arby’s in pearl Jon a d I just finished supper and I think he is contemati g dessert

  16. OldBopper says:

    Cardinal Lady,

Go east on Hwy 80 until you see a Walgreens and CVS pharmacy. You will be a block away.

When you see Walgreens and CVS Pharmacy, you will be a block away. You will see a sign for school zone, turn right at that light. The park will be on your left.

If you happen to see a Krystal and a Mac’s gas station you have gone too far, turn around and take a left at the stop light.
