Good morning. Tough day yesterday, but the sun’s up today and it is another chance to succeed.  Thank goodness it is friday, though. Don’t need another day like Thursday.

The lone Oak, if folks would reflect, the storms endured by the tree, If the roots are deep enough,,,,the tree remains.

I think also of the Oak Tree That survived Katrina……The tree became an inspiration as the community park was build to bring the community together.

    Hope your Friday is TGIF….

Yesterday when it was just about time to go home, the church office door opened and a man walked in. I was standing at the secretary’s desk and looked up. I was absolutely speechless! It was someone I hadn’t seen in 24 years and that was when we lived in Virginia. He was our Sunday School teacher. I had seen that morning a picture of him on FB getting into a truck pulling a U-Haul trailer. I had no idea he would try to look us up on his way to San Antonio! He got there 10 minutes after I usually go home but I was still there. We called Mr. H and he met us at the church. Ed couldn’t stay very long but oh my goodness it was good to see him!

That’s great, MrsH! I love surprises like that.
I’ve had the last couple of days off. I think I need to go back to work to rest. Kiddo and I were working on a craft project yesterday, and a silk flower with a big, hot glob of hot glue fell onto my thumb. I instinctively grabbed it with my other hand, and the flower stuck to a finger on that hand. I have 2nd degree burns on two fingers and red spots on a couple others. It was many hours later before my thumb stopped hurting. I have a huge blister on it, and a small blister on my other finger.
Next time I take a day off, I’m going to make sure Kiddo is in school or out of town. She has a way of hijacking my day!
I have gotten a little done today. Still some cleaning left to do, but most of it is complete. And supper is in the oven.

If you had gotten an egg out of the refrigerator and broken it and rubbed the white on the burn places, I bet it would be better. Thanks to Cardinallady, that has saved my bacon a couple of times.

Evening, been at church the past two days helping to prepare for our annual Rummage Sale. Tons of stuff had to be sorted, priced and made ready to buy. I have the electronics and everything that plugs in has been tested. If it doesn’t work, it’s trashed. I am still amazed at folks who give stuff to the sale that just can’t be fixed. Oh and dirty, dusty electronics is a no no. But, I clean some of them up. Anyway, the sale is tomorrow. I’m going to be there for the opening and leave a couple of hours later to ride with my group. We’re headed to Greenwood and back tomorrow.

    Smiles and hugs to all!
