Weekly would work. We have gone from over 100 comments a day to practically nothing and I think it’s because of Facebook.

Kiddo has been working on getting scholarships and filling out college applications this week. She is so ready to be finished with high school!

Lunch time what to do?
I have been following the Abigail Bonner missing persons case. (Used to work with her father.) It breaks my heart that it was her body they found yesterday. I was hoping she was a runaway that would eventually find her way home. Don’t know if, as a parent, I could handle the death of my 17 year old daughter. Y’all don’t know this, but Kiddo almost died a couple of months ago. That was a SUPER hard time for me. I can’t imagine the pain the Bonners are going through knowing they will never see their daughter again.
I know what ever the circumstances with Kiddo had to be tough. So glad she is ok now. Is so sad for the Bonner family.
Anybody seen the camel come through today? LOL! I’m refering to the new gieco commercial that has the camel traveling through the office asking what day it is and saying wooo hooo!
I went for a walk with my dogs this morning in the woods. The folks next door have two horses now and one of them is fiesty. It was fun to watch them run through the pasture. Horses are magnificent animals.
Hello Everyone! Been a really hard week. My step-father died last Wednesday night. I left StL at 2:45 and drove to Birmingham with a 45 minute stop in Paducah, KY for road construction. I arrived at the hospital at 11:33. Major John Portera died at 11:30. I was heart broken of his passing but also that I was not able to arrive in time to tell him how proud I was to be his step-daughter. He was amazing, kind and honorable. His mind never failed but his body was tired. I will miss his insight and advice. I am a better person for knowing and loving him and being loved by him.
If I missed any birthdays, I am sorry. All the little ones and not so little ones headed back to school – I hope it is your best year yet.
I’m so sorry to hear that. My husband is the only father my youngest child has ever known, so I know a step parent can be as close to someone as their biological parent and sometimes closer.

8/15/13 Happy Thursday morning, y’all. I’m waiting for the coffee to make and then on my way to the senior center. Someone else broke a leg this week and I only have 3 tables of bridge this afternoon for the first time in a while.

I’m excited about this weekend. A is coming down and bringing Poppy to spend the weekend with me and Big Sis. It’ll be fun!

What a beautiful Friday morning it is! I fall in the ranks of being negligent in posting here, but I do not want this to disappear and agree with the weekly FFA. The group that has assembled here is so very special and I don’t want to lose this family.

10:30 Friday morning. Hey to everyone. In 2 weeks I will be off for 10 days. 4 of those ill be on the beach. Should be interesting, not sure if my parrot liked the sand. If not he can stay inside. First trip alone, lots of thoughts, excited, but nervous. Just another learning curve. Do one thing new everyday.
I’ll be at the beach Labor Day weekend, too. If we are going to the same beach, maybe we can meet up. . .
GG I’ll be there the weekend after Labor Day.
We used to do that before the younguns got in school. Still warm and no crowds!
