9/11 Today

bilde

A college freshman was in first grade on September 11, 2001.  Two of my three sons weren’t even alive.  It’s hard for kids to understand why we mark this day. The crazy post-9/11 world we live in is their “normal.”

I wrote this story two years ago to explain it to my sons.  I thought I’d share.

Love your work Marshall. You are more inspiring than you know.

thanks for this Marshall. I was so slammed with work yesterday that I didn’t even get to pause very much. But I did remember. I watched several specials over the weekend to remind me. And then last night my sister and I attended my uncle’s memorial service via the internet. Made the day a little harder.
