After a three-week push, I’m taking today off. I slept until 9 and then ran four miles. I then cleaned the gutters. Now I am cleaning the house. Wait a minute, I thought I just said I took the day off.

I’m looking forward to tomorrow. I’m leaving early and going to mama’s house. My sisters will be there already. Jon and I are going to spend the night too. Mama will have wall-to-wall beds. Just like it was when she grew up.
Me and one other lady have to work Friday, so I’m a leaving early today. At least we get to split Friday. I’m coming in at 8 and leaving at 12:30 and she is coming in for the closing shift.

Quiet in here today. I did a little bit of Christmas shopping online today. Kohl’s has a 4-piece set of luggage (in Houndstooth print! Perfect for my Bama fan!) on sale for $49, regularly $229. It is a “Black Friday” sale, but is on sale online already. Ordered it and should get it in next week. With a 15% off promo code, I basically got the shipping and tax free. I doubt luggage is at the top of Kiddo’s Christmas wish list, but she will need it when she heads off to college next fall. I’m looking for a Bama picture frame that isn’t too expensive. Didn’t see any in Alabama under $30 that were cute. And $30 is too much for a small photo frame. I saw one online for $16, but then another $5 for shipping. It may be the best I can do, though.

Hello Everyone!! I don’t do the ” I am thankful for” on Facebook but I am thankful for a group of people brought together by an amazing talent that I am able to call my friends. I am still unemployed and hubby is under-employed but I am blessed beyond measure. Happy Thanksgiving my friends.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are truely blessed. Now looking forward to a “tops down” day.
Chicklette and I made a* whirlwind trip down to see Poppy Wednesday night. This morning, I cooked a full Thanksgiving meal, but s the girl and I had to hit the road before there was time to carve the turkey. Poppy and Mr. Fab are spending much needed time together. Poppy isn’t doing very well, darnit.
We made it home just in time for her dad to pick her and the boys for dinner tonight. Chicklette finally got to use that driving permit she got Tuesday! She did really well. This weekend, I plan to spend some time teaching her how to drive a standard.
