Happy New Year (Eve)! It’s quiet around here today. The office is closing at noon. Kiddo has to be at work at noon and hubby won’t be home till around 5:00, so my afternoon should be nice and quiet as well. Fine by me! If my furry friends will cooperate, I see a nap in my near future.

Mornin. Temps are dropping. It was 55 degrees when I got to work and now, 3 hours later, it is 46 degrees. I think the taco soup I have going in the crockpot is going to be good tonight!
Brrrrrrrrrr!!! tis bird is getting cold toooo. But with 10 (yes that is TEN) degree weather coming this will seem like spring.
I”ve got to get some bird seed out today for my feathered friends. They will need some extra nourishment.
I woke up this morning and could’t get to sleep so I started going on in my mind all I needed to get done. and the birds was on that list. I’ve got some extra shortening in the cabinet so I’m going to make my own suet for them too tonight.

Oh-and our excitement: our little cat that had surgery before Christmas? Well…somehow the pin in her leg came “undone.” I won’t describe what happened, but she’s having a revision (i.e. the same surgery AGAIN) this morning. We followed the vet’s instructions to the letter. So sorry for my little June bug.

Hey folks. Woke up with the “crud” for new years day. Need to see a doctor for the ole “clear this mess up” shot and some antibiotics. Hopefully, will be home early next week to do just that.
Was 25 degrees in Madisonville, Tx this morning. I think it’s going to be in the high teens for tomorrow. bbrrrrr
Wish I could hear your boys play, clucks. That would be fun.

Blues, they’ve been playing at Club 43 every couple of months. It ain’t swanky, but it’s fun..most of the time. Tonight, they are the ONLY band playing.
Juno made it through surgery just fine. They’re keeping her til Monday.
Happy Saturday night. Saints won! Boys’ show last night rocked!
We’ll be going for bread & milk tomorrow ahead of the hard freeze.
