    Mornin!

Some days I have a hard time getting moving. This is one of those days.

  2. parrotmom says:

Good morning, it is 6:09 hope you all have a wonderful hump day :) Coop I know what you mean. I was sleeping so good when the alarm went off. Normally I awake before it ever goes off. Better hit the showers and hope it motivates me.

  3. parrotmom says:

Laughing at Marshall’s cartoon for today. Great Job MR :)

  4. blues4you says:

  5. Airwolf says:

    Good morning folks!

  6. parrotmom says:

Hey Blue’s!!! Is it chilly over in Texas?

  7. OldBopper says:

G’morning! Looks to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Hope each of you will have the opportunity to enjoy some of it.

  8. parrotmom says:

I guess I will OB, I will be inside all day pecking away at the keyboard.

Everyone have a SUPER FANTASTIC DAY!!!!

  9. dhcoop says:

I’m having a low fat yogurt with a Quaker Chewy chocolate chip granola bar crumbled in it. The chocolate chips taste like wax.

  10. Crystalbutterfly says:

    hey all!!!
blues me too, Mama’s biscuits with butter and homemade jelly:)
hope that everyone has a great hump day!

  11. Mrs. H says:

Mr. H had a meeting in New Orleans today. He discovered that going out Hwy 26 towards Poplarville then down, is the same mileage as going down 63 then across I-10. He’s on his bike. Guess which route he chose? The scenic route. Wouldn’t surprise me if he went down Hwy 11 rather than I-59.

If he could ride a motorcycle while he’s in Peru next week, he’d be a happy camper.

  12. msblondie says:

just a quick morning folks… busy here.

  13. parrotmom says:

Another busy one with nutty people calling and harrasing me. JB would probably understand this type harrassing.

  14. OldBopper says:

Busy multi-tasking. ;~D Two laptops on the snack bar in kitchen. One to listen to the House and the other for the Senate. And I’m making brownies for this evening.

Hey! Watch yer’sef! I’m an old fart who learned to type on a manual typewriter with carbon paper and typing erasers. Now I’m multi-tasking. Wonder what it would be if I plugged in my Ipod? Naw, couldn’t hear the Legislature and I get paid for that.

PQ told me if I was going to get in “her” kitchen I had best do it this morning because she will need it this afternoon.

  15. Legal Eagle says:

    Yep, manual typewriters R-Us.

BE wanted to learn to make biscuits like his mother did and he’s been practicing. Of course, he has it down pat and has for a while but I tell him to keep on practicing. Hah!

  16. Legal Eagle says:

It’s confusing to me to get friend requests on Facebook and not be familiar with who that person is. I don’t want to turn down any MRBA members who have asked to befriend me, so I guess the best thing for me would be if you send me a friend request, please mention here that you have sent me one. Thank you and you may now go back to your regularly scheduled work activities while I get dressed to go play.

  17. cardinallady says:

Morning! Red bird flying through. On the hunt for some pictures for our magazine. Be back later when I can settle in again. I sure hope everybody has a bright sunshiney day. It is BEAAAUUUTTTIIIFFFUUUL here!

  18. The Real JB says:

AAA has been sending mystery shoppers to us. I dislike them. They are supposed to make us better agents but the potential for us getting their business is low and therefore a big fat waste of our time.

  19. parrotmom says:

JB I Would not like that either. Like you said a waste of your time.

lunch is half of chicken salad sandwich with chips.

yum on the brownies. OB. send me a couple for dessert. thks!

  20. Pncpnthr says:

Peach cobbler in the ADR. They know how to use the butter in there! Yummy!!

  21. msblondie says:

lunch – left over pork chop, green beans, and tater salad. it was yummy last night.. and just as good today.

  22. Ann Onimous says:

Say a prayer for me this afternoon. I’m getting ready to interview for another position in my company. Pray that God will use my bosses to put me exactly where He wants me to be and where I can do the most good. If it’s my same job I have right now, or whether it’s a new position, I’m okay with it.

    • cardinallady says:

Dear God, How we thank you that you are a personal God who numbers the hair on our head. Thank you that you are concerned with every little detail of our lives and that we are the apple of your eye. Please be with Ann as she seeks Your will for her life. Put her in the exact place that will bring YOU the most glory. We love you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

      • Ann Onimous says:

Thank you for the prayer, CL. The interview went extremely well, and thank you notes have been written. I am fortunate to work with some of the best people in the world, and no matter what is decided, that will not change. As far as jobs go, I am blessed beyond measure.

  23. dhcoop says:

    I had another bbq.

  24. cardinallady says:

About to go have chinese with my co worker. It’s really 1:30

I feel like I sm spinning my wheels and not accomplishing very much. you can only do one at a time.

  26. The Real JB says:

Tank…what did you have for lunch?
I had turkey and cheese sammiches.

  27. Ann Onimous says:

I had oatmeal and coffee. Now, off to church: after handbells, we have fried chicken!

  28. Barb says:

    Prayers for you, Ann.

  29. Barb says:

Lunch was DQ. Mother, sis and I went.

  30. OldBopper says:

Have “company” coming in about an hour. Actually it’s just my sister and bro-in-law and our youngest and her boyfriend. We were hoping to all get together with Mom but she and JW left early and went back to Arkansas. Can’t let that prime rib roast go to waste so we told the others they HAD to come. Looking forward to it even without Mom.

  31. cardinallady says:

Okay, is it just me or are some web site names getting longer? I just saw one on the sunherald site that said achievemyweightloss.com

By the time you type that you have lost two pounds.

  32. cardinallady says:

Oh my chariot is here. I must be away. Love yall!!

  33. parrotmom says:

5:46 CLady so glad you had a Chariot to come to get you so you could rest those tired feathers. I hope it was a cool ride home.

AnnO so glad your interview went well.

  34. msblondie says:

finally home. had to get my oil changed after work just did make it to the shop in time. didnt get it washed but can do that later.

I am glad now that M no longer rides the bus. I just read about another bus accident on the coast. This is 2nd one in 2 weeks. Makes me really wonder about the buses.. or is just the people not watching for the buses any more.

Well everyone have a great evening

  35. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

    Good luck AnnO!

    Watching AI.

  36. parrotmom says:

Waiting for Kittie Girls to come in.

  37. dhcoop says:

Friend in CS did a Boston butt and corn on the cob for dinner tonight. Packed my lunch for tomorrow.

  38. Mrs. H says:

I dodged 3 possums on the way home tonight. They just stood there in the middle of the road, rather like slalom cones!

  39. Legal Eagle says:

MrsH, you could have had road kill stew! (I’m only kidding, Coop!)

I had a giant packaged chocolate chip chocolate muffin for breakfast, some Hunters Mix nuts (which I had never seen before but loved because they had sesame sticks and roasted pumpkin seeds, cashews, almonds, etc. in the mix), a nutty buddy, three vanilla cookies with vanilla cream and a diet Sprite. Then we went by Rally’s and ordered 2 double bacon Rallyburgers with cheese and 2 $1.00 chocolate shakes. Instead of the shakes, they have us 2 $1.00 Americaburgers. BE pointed out that we ordered shakes instead of the $1.00 burgers, so they gave the shakes to us free. We drove to the shade and ate our big burgers and BE ate his little burger and I brought my little burger home for later. 12 Pounds of Starving found my $1.00 burger before I did, so now I’m getting kinda hungry again.

  40. parrotmom says:

nite lite is on!! Love to all :)

  41. OldBopper says:

PQ was taking the roast out of the oven and putting it on the counter for me to carve. There was more grease in the pan than she thought and she spilled some on the floor. When she stepped back, she fell and broke her wrist. But being the trooper that she is, we went on with dinner and dessert. Youngest daughter stayed behind to help clean up and put the dishes in the dishwasher while PQ and I went to the local emergency room at our hospital in Brandon. We waited about ten minutes and they took us in, xrayed the wrist, put a splint on it, prescribed some medication and we were back home with medicine in hand by 10:15. She will go to the orthopedic Dr. tomorrow.

Considering the awful stories I have heard about emergency room waits, I think we were fortunate to get treatment as quickly as we did.

We went by the local chain drug store to get the prescriptions filled. I drove up to the drive through window and the pharmicist looked at the prescriptions and asked what time we wanted to come back and get them. I said well we are at the drive through window and we’ll just wait. He said, “Well I have to fill the prescriptions and it will be fifteen to twenty minutes”. So we drove around front, went in to the pharmacy waiting area. Ours was the only prescription he was working on. And true to his word, about twenty minutes later he had them filled. That poor guy wouldn’t last an afternoon at Brandon Discount Pharmacy. They are the fastest I have ever seen. A long wait there would be ten minutes. Anyway, we got the medication so that’s what counts.

  42. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

OB, I hate to hear that PQ broke her wrist! Ouch!

I just got off the phone with Big Sis. Yes, she woke me up at 5 am, but that’s OK! It’s 2 this afternoon over there. She had just left the jewellers who was making two pieces for my Bug that I gave her the stones (amethyst ) for her 16th birthday. Bug drew pictures of what she wanted and Big Sis says they are beautiful!

  43. parrotmom says:

Good mornng it is 6:08 happy Thursday :) I must be so worn out this is the 2nd time this week that I am sleeping until my alarm goes off.

  44. parrotmom says:

OB so sorry for PQ. Glad the ER had her fixed up in know time. I agree with the pharmacy wait that is a bit slow for there not to be any others he was doing.

Coop I hope you can post pics of the jewelry of course after bug sees them. When is Big Sis coming home? Is it this month?

  45. dhcoop says:

Yes, she’ll be home at the end of the month. I’m excited!

  46. Mrs. H says:

Oh my, OB. I know how those late night pharmacy trips can be. After Mr. H’s accident we were at a 24 hour pharmacy around midnight. We were waiting in the parking lot, and 3 police cars popped up and all the policemen rushed in. I was hoping we weren’t going to have to dodge bullets because Mr. H couldn’t move. Turns out someone slammed the safe shut and it set off the silent alarm!

  47. Mrs. H says:

Oh, current time is 6:19 am

  48. dhcoop says:

Nothing like going to get clothes out of the dryer and realizing they aren’t dry. Ugh

  49. parrotmom says:

Coop, I take it you don’t like doing laundry either. I do get mine out but the clothes rarely make it to the bedroom. Especially since I use the other bathroom to get ready in. The laundry room is nearest it. Back when it was just PD and I, I would use the master bath. I guess I must think more of my parrot to give him his time for rest. LOL!!!

  50. parrotmom says:

Off to my wonderful world of OZ!!!!

  51. Airwolf says:

    Morning folks.

OB sorry to hear about PQ. Prayers that she’ll be ok.

I’ve got to deal with a car problem. Advance Trac light came on on the Lincoln and won’t go out. Probably a high dollar repair. Geeezzzz!

  52. parrotmom says:

Marshall was/is on the radio 98.7 talking about run from the sun.

  53. Molly says:

Mornin. OB, so sorry about PQ’s accident. Hope she feels better soon. I think I would have to register a complaint with the home office of the pharmacy about that ridiculous wait. I go to Polk’s on Spillway and even with several people in front of me, I’m out of there in 5 minutes!
Marshall is on 98.7 right now.
Uh-oh, boss just drove up. Better get to work. :)

  54. OldBopper says:

PQ made it through the night without any problems. Got to get her in to see a doctor this morning. At least I hope we can.

Thanks for the concern, I’ll pass it on to her. She’s a real trooper. Hope everybody has a good day.

  55. OldBopper says:

I guess my comments about the pharmacist were not really clear. I’m not complaining about him. He did exactly what he said he would do. The comments should have fallen into the “just saying” category rather than the complaint category. My apologies for misleading you.

    • Barb says:

OB, unless he was filling some scripts from voice mail to be picked up last night, there is no excuse for it taking 20 minutes!! And, you know I realize where you were. I apologize on the behalf of the company. I would say something to the store manager and maybe he could at least explain why it could not have been filled quicker.

  56. parrotmom says:

MrsH you could have had possum and sweet taters.
