    **smacks PNC upside da head**

This week has been so incredibly busy I haven’t had time to check in. And I don’t have time now, just letting yall know I am alive, fairly well and *crossing fingers* still employed.

Love y’all-have a nice day. Looks like tomorrow may be a booger bear weatherwise.

  5. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’ Gang! Awoke at 2 am totally refreshed and ready to take on the world. Now I think I’m about to take a nap. Will probably cut grass this afternoon.

MrsH, that’s awesome if El gets to sing the National Anthem.

    Good to hear from Clucky.

  6. parrotmom says:

I hope you all have a great and wonderful day at work or where ever you may be. I hope everyone is perking up and feeling better. Prayers and hugs for all those in need and that are ailing. CB so sorry for the knee and wonderful news on Coop’s mom last night to enjoy lifting her voice for the glory of our great God :)

  7. parrotmom says:

Hey Clucky as you are running around like a chick with his head cut off. One day soon I hope to not feel so overwhelmed, but I don’t see it changing.

  8. parrotmom says:

OB it must be great to be retired and do things at your on time. I hope PQ’s pain is no more today.

Bye for now off to work I go!!!

  9. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

    LOL@Clucky!

MrsH, that is great about El! Hopefully, you can record it and post it for us.

If you haven’t read the Boss’ story “The Storm”, you should. It is awesome!

Anyone watch Idol last night? It was a great show!

  10. Airwolf says:

Morning friends. Taking it easy, my back is tender and hurts.

Hope everyone has a good day.

  11. Crystalbutterfly says:

    hey all!!!
Coop so glad to ear that your Mom is doing so good!!
thanks for all the good wishes with the knee, but it is bone on bone so I know that I will have to have surgery some day just trying to put it off as long as possible.
MrsH hope that MrH get his stuff back in one piece and gets all of it back
hope all of you that are feeling under the weather get better soon, we need to talk about a picnic

  12. Molly says:

Mornin. I have a pounding headache today.
Anybody have a recipe for punch that we could use for a mid-morning office open house type event? Now that I’m the only female here, I get to plan everything. Yay me!

  13. Mrs. H says:

Molly, just about any kind of juice mixed with ginger ale works well: cranberry, orange, pineapple. You could freeze a ring of the juice with strawberries in it for good looks.

Mr H is hoping for dry clothes today!!

  14. msblondie says:

morning gang! It is a great day!

Mrsh that will be wonderful for El.

Molly – white grape juice and ginger ale. It is yummy and looks like champagne.

  15. cardinallady says:

    Morning everybody!
I have an important announcement to make. I cleaned one corner of my room the chair is vacuumed and WASHED, the monster dirt rabbits have been swept up and thrown away, the spider refugee camp has been vaccumed away and a clean cover is on the chair, and here is the MOST IMPORTANT PART, I found my FAVORITE color pencil for drawing clouds!!! YES!!!!
Now I need a bull dozer for the rest of my room. Getting it moved boulder by boulder though.

Alright I’ve got to go fire on Ft. Sumpter again and write about Pontotoc’s involvement in the civil war.

  16. Clucky says:

    In conference call Hades.

    /shoot me

  17. The Real JB says:

    Bam!

  18. Clucky says:

    Thank you.

    Thank ya very much.

Now pass me a peanut butter an’ namma sammitch.

  19. OldBopper says:

Clucky you could sing JB his theme song, “You ain’t nothing but a hound dog…” :~)

  20. parrotmom says:

I’ve had a real prodictive morning, but many more files to go. I have felt like Clucky –just shoot me to put me out of my hades!!

    Molly I like that punch.

CLady glad you have moved one boulder.

  21. Mrs. H says:

    My Cinderella didn’t make it : (
    It’s tough for a #16 seed to take on a #1.

    • Mrs. H says:

There are still 8 from MS State in the tournament, but they can’t all advance because in 2 brackets, both contestants are from MSU. Go Dawgs!!!

  22. Ann Onimous says:

IG is in his final radiation treatment right now.

    And he shaved his beard.

We’ve been married for 13 years and I have never seen him without his beard. I’m still in shock.

  23. Molly says:

AnnO, you may wake up in the morning and think there is a stranger in your bed!

  24. Molly says:

At lunch, I went to print out my tax returns. Since we owe, we’re taking our own sweet time in filing. However, I found that TurboTax did not save a copy. I have to do the whole thing over tonight. Did I mention I have a killer headache?

  25. parrotmom says:

    frito chili pie for lunch.

  26. parrotmom says:

Molly so sorry it is still hanging on. Oops on the taxes :(

  27. Crystalbutterfly says:

hey need your help I know that I have a few retired military fellows on here here is the thing the young man from Brandon that died for us this past week will be buried Saturday and the people from the Westboro Church that beleive that GOD hates America are going to be here to protest at his funeral we as Christians need to be there to protect his family from these people the funeral will be at Pinelake Baptist Church Brandon at 3pm Saturday.

  28. cardinallady says:

Flitting back through! Well! I didn’t have to write about the states rights war after all. But I feel like I have been in about every state in the union taking a picture.

I went to check on mama and to tell her that I’m in charge of poising she and dad tonight (jk I LOVE my parents, and besides Jon is doing the cooking.) My little bro was there and we started talking about Jon wanting leather. He went to dad’s closet and brought me this beautiful leather gun holster and said to carry it to Jon.

I could hardly contain myself. I hid the holster behind my back and went to the garden where cardinalson was plowing. After he cut the tiller off I asked him how much he loved me. He said “from the house to the tree” and I showed him the holster. He grabbed it from my hand ran around the house at a dead run holding it in the air whooping like and Indian, went to his room and strapped on the holster and dropped his gun in the leather then drew it right fast like an old west cowboy. Needless to say he was excited.

  29. Barb says:

    CB, that is horrible!!

  30. parrotmom says:

Clady you sure made you a happy son :)

AnnO congrats to you and IG no more nuking. HooRay!!!

  31. Mrs. H says:

Here’s the latest from the southern hemisphere:
“I’m dead tired (that’s somewhere past dog tired). At one point today I was sharing the gospel with 8 women all lined up on a wall.

We climbed to the top of the village of Appio (also known as Viegas. There is some dispute as to the name.) and then did it again just for fun. From top to bottom it’s about 1500 feet. Then I played frisbee with the kids in the school for an hour. My knee hurts”

I don’t think he’s got his luggage YET!! I’m wondering if tomorrow as he’s traveling down from the mountains back towards Lima, if he’ll pass a vehicle with his suitcase in it. Two ships that pass in the night.

  32. dhcoop says:

Evenin! MrsH, I sure am enjoying the updates! I can’t believe hasn’t gotten his luggage!

    CB, those people disgust me.

    Watching Idol results.

  33. Mrs. H says:

It still amazes me that that “church” is doing this in the Lord’s name. Seems to me that it’s breaking His heart

    • dhcoop says:

I don’t consider them a “church”. I consider them media-hungry jerks (I could use a stronger word, but I won’t) that just want to see themselves on TV. I just saw a comment on fb that said that the leader is from Meridian. I’m ashamed that they have any connection to Mississippi.

  34. Mrs. H says:

Oh, this is Bro. Jimmy’s (the DOM) post about today: “Another great day with the team. We made Pompacocaha a village we have never been, and the man we talk to had a dream last night telling him to come early to village someone was coming to share good news. Talk about a divine appointment.”

He’s an On-Time God, yes, He is. (That’s a song, in case you don’t know!)

  35. dhcoop says:

If Big Sis was right in her calculation, she should have landed in Bankok by now. Hope to hear something from her soon.

  36. parrotmom says:

no Wall Paper!!!! It looks Awesome!!! I just put Bully—MSU back up. Then I put three of my Grandmother’s cross stitch of a Buck, a Momma deer with her fawn, and then a cross stitch of a Pheasant, so beautiful. David’s cousin was amazed at them.

  37. parrotmom says:

I am not judging but maybe I am, how can they say they are Christians if they are going to boycott a young man or woman’s decision in life to protect our country that gives them this right to protest.

  38. parrotmom says:

nite lite is on!! See you all in the morning :)

  39. clucky says:

I do not want to get in a “discussion” about that bunch of somethings I would hose off the bottom of my shoe if I stepped on one in the yard. However, our buddy and pal, Stacey, Mom of Ace, has started a facebook group inviting everyone to honor our fallen soldier by standing at Hwy 80/471 with flags where they will travel to take him from the church to the cemetery.

Today was horrible at work. I don’t see any relief anytime soon. I have certainly used a hornet’s nest as a piñata, and I will probably pay for it a loooooooooooong time.

Mr Fab and I will be kid-free this weekend and are contemplating going to Shuckers Sat or Sunday afternoon for 25 cent oysters on the half shell. I would rather eat a slug (ew), but The Man lurves him some oysters.

OK, watching the weather closely tomorrow. AW and CLady will be getting a break ..looks like the bullseye is on my neck of the woods this time. I have my camera batteries charged!! (“I’d like an SD card and a clean pair of shorts, please!”) I’ve been chatting with my fellow weatherfreaks (A would think we are NUTS, MrsH), and we are waiting with bated breath.

OB, I hope PQ is feeling better, and for you and AW, I feel your pain in the back area. Ergonomics is a pain in the back! (get it?) Also for SheWithCarpalTunnelSyndrome: I had both hands done about 5 years ago, 6 weeks apart, by Dr. Jabaley at Plastic and Hand Surgery in Flowood. The man is a miracle worker; surgery on a Thursday and back to work on Monday and I PROMISE the pain was so much better just 3 days after surgery. I can pull weeds and open jars again~! DO IT-and tell Frankie I sent ya! Dr. Jabaley has a quite impressive CV, and developed the method he uses that doesn’t scar your wrists-he goes in laparascopically at the base of the palm and the incision is made to follow a crease in your palm. I think I had maybe 4 or 5 stitches in each hand, and the scar is invisible. I actually pulled 2 stitches out 2 days postop USING A WEEDEATER! Tell me THAT wasn’t a relief to get back that hand strength! I suffered with CTS for 12 years, and felt like a bonehead after I had the surgery because it was so fast and worked so well. My blessings, dear.

G’nite friends. Maybe I will get in a chance to check in between chaos and calamity tomorrow.
Somebody turn out the light…I’m goin’ to bed. Sweet dreams.

  40. Airwolf says:

I am walking upright without pain if I don’t make any sudden movements.

I hope tomorrow isn’t to rough!!

    Goodnight friends!

  41. OldBopper says:

David Hartman gave us a “chicken little” the sky is falling forecast for tomorrow. That’s very unusual for Hartman. When he talks tornado possibilities, I listen. The man is usually right.

  42. Mrs. H says:

Oh, I see that Mr. H did get his bag this afternoon.
    I can’t sleep. It’s 12:46 a.m.
I am knitting my first sock. It’s bright orange. I am currently on the heel flap portion. I figured that this would put me to sleep but so far I’m awake.

  43. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

5:08 am Friday morning. I’m down in Gtown, so I’m about to run through the shower and hit the road. Hoping to make it into Jtown by 6:30 and beat the storm. They are saying it should get there between 6:30 and 7.

  44. blues4you says:

    Good morning.

    Y’all stay safe today.
