Mornin!
You have a glorious day as well, Marshall!! I’m glad to have you in my life. I’m proudly wearing my RFTS tshirt today!
Good morning! I’ve been watching the Indigo Buntings chase the Cardinals around my back yard. Beautiful birds! I’ve GOT to get a new camera!!!
Good Beautiful Sunday Morning :)
Coming to you live from the Parrotmom’s real computer. Lights back on last night. We went to take the fridge and stuff off the generator connectors, but for some reason the wall plug behind the fridge would not power the fridge the plug behind the small freezer and microwave worked fine. So we left the fridge on the extension cord to another plug in. This morning we moved the micro and freezer to the next wall plate and plugged the fridge into that plug all is well. (We did check the breaker box, but nothing was tripped.
Next up was the computer the UPS or whatever it is called was making a whistling noise till I just finally unplugged it later on. I never tried to bring up the computer since it was late. Strange when I plugged it in this morning no sound and the light comes on but none of my equipment plugged into it would come on. This included my monitor. So now all of that is plugged into a power strip (thankfully my computer was already plugged into a different strip) and all my equipment is working now. I did plug the batter back up thing to an extension cord and turned it on thinking maybe it has to get charged up first. I don’t understand if the on light is on or did it take a surge and is shot?
I have missed my friends and my computer as well as electricity and hot water, instead of mildly warm. I have got to give my parrot a shower and need to go into catch up at work if at all possible.
Hope you all have a terrific day!!!
God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.
Amen Sister!!!
hey gang! glad all is well. we went to Memphis yesterday for college day for M.. it was cold. While there we went to the zoo. It was a fun but long day.
PM: look on your UPS (battery backup) for a reset button. It will be around the power cord more than likely. Push It. The power outage probably tripped its breaker.. this is not uncommon and what it is suppose to do.
I now have to go to the office and finish bringing up all the computers. Power outages are never fun.
I’m enjoying watching the crows in Big Sis’s back yard. I have a new appreciation for them ever since I saw that Nature documentary a while back. EXTREMELY intelligent creatures. I was watching them stack up the pieces, two or three at a time, before grabbing them with their beak and flying off. (chunks of old Hawaiian rolls) Watched one fly over to the bushes and appeared to be hiding a couple of pieces. A few minutes ago I went out and looked where I thought he hid them and found two pieces of bread neatly tucked under some weeds in the bush. Smart birds.
Good morning; uh, I mean afternoon!
Old Bopper, Big Eagle asked me to tell you that they now make motorcycles with automatic transmissions for old people.
LOL!!!
Howdy, everybody! Back from Palm Sunday services at church. If you’re interested, and a friend on Facebook, LilO recorded our adult handbell choir performance this morning. It’s purty.
Community Worship Service tonight, 5:30pm, Big Lots parking lot, Clinton!
I watched it! Was that you up there on the far left jammin the little bells?? I could only get it to play a little over 2 minutes of what it said was a 4 minute video, but it was great!
lil sis bought a new camera today in hopes to get pics of the Indigo buntings in her yard. Got it home and discovered that it takes a microdisc memory card. I didn’t even know they made such a thing. Anyway, I reassured her she’d be able to take a few pics on the camera memory alone so she didn’t have to rush right back to Walmart. One of the buntings keeps getting INSIDE the birdfeeder. She has GOT to get a picture of that!!
I’m second from the end in what I call the tinkerbell section. IG is at the other end playing bass bells, in what I call the ding-dong section.
LOL!!
I have talked to Cub (my nephew & lil sis’ son) more today than we’ve talked in a year! All of a sudden, he’s interested in having a little garden and lil sis told him he needed to talk to me. He’s called three times so far today! I LOVE it!!! LOL!! Next time he calls I’m going to answer “1-800-Aunt D…..”!
Yeah, he called the gardener after he said I had a brown thumb instead of a green one. But then, I can’t argue with that!
made it to the office.. got everything working again.. didn’t take long.. M and I then went to Home Depot and got tomato plants, basil, and cilantro. We got them all planted along with our Rosemary. Now if it all makes we will be doing good.
Have now sent M to CS to Chopsticks for supper.
everyone have a great evening.
Afternoon all! Back from Hattiesburg where we watched Smokey Joe’s Cafe at USM. The students did a great job with it. Good light entertainment. One of the cast was Kimberly Morgan, Miss Mississippi 2007. She’s pretty and talented.
LE, tell BE that I can’t afford those fancy machines. I’m buying MrsH’s used Honda Rebel to start with. Nothing fast, powerful or fancy. I’ve still got to get my skills honed. Then I’ll consider something larger. Maybe by next spring or summer.
MsBlondie, did you have an existing rosemary? I can get you some cuttings from mine if you need them.
I made a run to Podunk to feed kittiekids and to see how my truck was running long distance and it did fine. Well, no knocking and no oil light, but I don’t have A/C again. grrr. Long story. Anyhoo, I picked up some laundry and came back down to Gtown for the evening. I think the truck will be fine to take on in to town tomorrow. YAY!
I guess MrsH is out test-driving her new wheels. Can’t wait to see pictures!
Oh, it’s 5:56 p.m.
Thirty minutes past time to say a prayer of thanks for giving us Marshall.
Hey everyone I made it home from work at 5:00 pm. I went across the street for the prayer service for Clinton but didn’t stay the whole time. I know I am truely blessed that the tornado turned and that PD and my Parrot were fine. I feel for my neighbors up Hannah Dr., Kitchens Drive, and Mt. Salus and everywhere else there is damage.
Wish we would have known – we were there!
I was looking for your family, I thought you were probably there. I was standing closer to the Big Lots side but I did move around thinking I would see you all there. I was hoping to make some connections. It just reminds me God is not finished with us yet. I need to get myself on the right road again instead of half and half.
The Lord has looked after me and my husband so many times. Once we survived being flipped in a SUV, the PD survived cancer, and we were spared damage or loss of life from this tornado, and not to mention other times that was not as major.
Hello!
I might try my new bike in the yard, but I think we might have to lower it first. We’ll see. Pictures here: https://www.facebook.com/album.php?fbid=10150161191198101&id=570773100&aid=296266&l=658d52fe03
It’s been a great day. I’ve been with Mr. H all day. : ) I’m so glad he’s home.
Yep, that’s a fine looking bike. Hmmmm, that makes two white bikes for you.
9:09 pm
CornPop, God Bless America is probably my favorite patriotic song!! Of course, it made me think of the late Kate Smith singing it!
Calling it a night. Have a good sleep, all.
MsB thanks for the info my life has not settled down at all after coming home from work. The washer worked the dryer didn’t. PD checked with a volt meter determined we had power with the breaker and the 220 connector plugged it back in and Yea!! I have close drying.
nite to you Barb. If my dryer would not have given us trouble I would be closer to that point!!!
nite lite is on!!! I need to post on FB. but trying to catch up! Clothes dryer wouldn’t work, but we finally it started with checkin with volt meters, unpluging and pluging back in. Yea!!! we have dry clothes/
After 11. I am gonna pay for staying up this late all. week. long.
Gnite friends.
