This not funny. Need a better caption!

I don’t think it was intended to be funny…..This was intended to be a reminder of the horrible storms on Wednesday that affected so many folks that lost everything they owned this week……I don’t know Marshall personally, but I do feel that he would never take light of such a horrible situation….All editorial cartoons are not satirical…they address current issues

  3. I’m sure it isn’t meant to be funny. Some things are just hard. I think this captures the moment of hopelessness just before hope arrives. The cartoon of “Resurrection: The Word of the Day” would make a perfect companion to this one.

  4. Wow, that was strange….when I hit “Post comment” there was only one other here. That’s what I get with dial-up. But hey, dial-up is better than nothing…at least I have electricity and a computer.

I think this cartoon captures the heartbreak that so many are continuing to suffer because of the catastrophic storms this past week!!
Marshall, I am sure that 99.99% of your readers know you were not trying to be funny.
We know you meant nothing but respect and sympathy.

Thanks Marshall for this cartoon and caption. It shows the feelings that we all have for the death and destruction that our people from MS, AL, GA, and NC are having at this time. I have seen the damage in my own neighborhood and it makes me feel sad and we had no loss of life. Yes we had 17 homes destroyed and 67 with major damage and you can’t help but feel helpless at some point in time.

If anyone thought you were trying to be funny, they don’t know you. This is a fantastic depiction of the pain that so many are feeling right now. Great job, and imho, great and fitting caption.
