Morning! Happy Mothers Day.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I had a great day. Mr. H and I rode up to Hattiesburg. He test drove the new Triumph Tiger ES. While he was out, I wandered around the showroom. From across the room, over bikes and displays I saw a woman at a counter and my first thought was “What kind of shoes is that woman wearing?” I fully expected to see 5 inch stilettos. She was wearing very thin flip flops. I couldn’t help but stare at her legs! They must have been 4 feet long! When she left, I went up to the man behind the counter and said, “Boy! If I had legs that long, I could ride any bike in this place!” He laughed and said he was thinking something similar, but a bit different. His daughter is about 5’2″ and plays softball, apparently very well, too. He said, “If she had legs that long, just think how fast she could be!”

We gave our Mom the gift of going to church with her this morning. It’s a rare thing to have all 3 of us at once.
We had lunch with Mom. Now time for a nap!!!
It’s 4:00 p.m. and we just got back from spending Mother’s Day at the park for several hours – it was great! Me, Orville, daughter, SIL, SugarPop (who will be 2 y/o in a few weeks BTW), grandson, my mom & dad & Orville’s mom. We picked up couple buckets of KFC, all the sides, cookies, ice chest full of water & soft drinks, football, frisbee – all the fixin’s for a terrific picnic! I hope everyone had a wonderful day, too!
I’ve been playing catch up and just realized that I had missed two birthdays, OB’s and MrsH’s, so Happy Belated Birthday y’all. Be sure to polish those silver disco balls between now and next month ’cause I need as many as you can carry to the pick-a-nick. OB. I’m glad you finally caught up with me!
The reason I’ve been AFK is that I got 3 1-week books from the library at the same time, Saturday April 28th. I read Jonathan Kellerman’s newest called “Mystery” and then Fern Michael’s “Late Edition” and started on “Freedom” by Jonathan Franzen. I had never read anything he had written and doubt if I will read anything he writes in the future. On Saturday, May 7th, I was only 125 pages into it and they let me check that one out again for a week. I should have had it back by 4:00 p.m. yesterday but didn’t finish it until last night. Even though it was on Oprah’s Book Club list, it was the longest piece of drivel I’ve read lately. I can’t start one and then just put it down without finishing it though.

Church this morning where our youngest joined us. Then we all went to breakfast. Afterwards, PQ and I went to McComb to see her folks and got back here about 5:30 or so. I hopped on Boule and we went for a good ride. Waiting for dark so I can adjust the dim lights. They reach out a certain distance and then all I get is a total black curtain. Had that same problem with my Honda Civic. A little adjustment will take care of that.
7:13 p, I think I have survived Yazoo. I wll no forsure tomorrow. Lots of weedeating and cutting back tree limbs around one side of the front. Tractor quit on PD he thinks it may be the fuel pump.
Sounds like everyone had a grand ole Day. I need to put a little paint on a wall. I am awaiting a wall bracket to put up on the wall in my computer room!!

Good Mother’s Day weekend with my sisters and Mom. My only regret is I didn’t see my Baby Girl. She’s going back to the doctor tomorrow. I hope they can figure out what’s going on.
