It’s 5:59 am and hump day to boot and my Friday.

OB I hope PQ and them had a safe trip to Arkansas.

Coop did you finish the book yet, lol!!!!

Clucky prayers for your MIL and Mr. Fab and the whole family. I know this is quite disturbing and scary.

Marshall, thanks for honoring the Army Corp of Engineers in their fight against the Ole Mississippi River. Prayers to all that is in it’s path and those that want have a job for a month or better. Mississippi has been ravaged by its on terror. Tornado’s, fires, and now flooding for this year so far. I hope we miss the Hurican season. We were made to be a strong state.

Mawnin’ y’all! Funny Barb you don’t look a bit older than yesterday! LOL Feeble Eagle is just wishing everybody was as old as her.

Went in to order some things from a local store yesterday because it was going to cost me about $20 for shipping on line. They added up the total and it was $40 more than on line (before taxes). I showed them the on line price and asked if they could meet it? The manager looked at the paper, shrugged his shoulders, and walked off. I told the sales clerk to cancel the sale. The items have to be ordered by either the local folks or me. Another sale lost to the web, but I did try.

Oh crap! Now we’re going to get weather alerts on our cell phones, like it or not! Yipes! Guess you shouldn’t try to call me during bad weather because my phone will be off. Please, please, please just offer it as an “opt in” program or at least give us the opportunity to “opt out”. Yuck! Wake me in the middle of the night for a “watch”? Give me a break!

Morning all. Sad night last night. My son started his last baseball game for his high school. Lots of tears.

I’ve determined that there is one more thing I’m going to have to stick with a brand name and not try to scrimp money. I’m eating carrots and celery with ranch dip. I bought the cheapest store brand ranch. Never again. It’s okay, but I’m going to go back to paying a little more and sticking with Hidden Valley Ranch.

morning. Checking in from the phone.
yes maam I have good brakes. I just wish you hadn’t tested them out this morning by turning in front of me, now I know why your passenger door is dented.

flying off my soap box now. Okay I’ve got to catch up if I can before this meeting starts

OB or any one else, What type cable do I need to hook up my pc monitor to my new tv. The red, white, yellow works, but Want to make it better. I tried the blue, green, red and could not see a picture. I know you can get a cable from the pc to the tv, but I really just want the monitor only. the tv is a Sanyo.

    • Mrs. H says:

PM, Are you trying to use your new TV as a monitor for your PC? HDMI cable is what we use for that. Before Wii let you stream Netflix, we used to hook the PC to the television with an HDMI cable and used it as a monitor.

      • parrotmom says:

MrsH that is what I am wanting to do, but my gateway monitor only has the RGB, usb but would need to be flat on both ends. the one that is flat on one end and horseshoe shapped on the other is an IN to the monitor not an out. My monitor does not have the HDMI it does have a digital DVI, but the tv does not :( I checked our Walmart and our radio shack no luck for a usb flat on both ends.

  16. Mrs. H says:

I have spent the morning making a parachute out of a WM bag, stacking blocks (first Jenga then paper boxes) and I found a recipe for fake snot. Can you tell that VBS is coming soon to a church near you? Oh, I almost forgot the balloon over the end of the empty ketchup bottle sitting in hot water!

  17. The Real Jb says:

If I lived close to your church MrsH I would come to your VBS. My one disappointment this year with my church is that my leaders are not wanting to do VBS. I’m not going to go into all their reasons but I was disappointed. I’m a VBS lover.

  18. dhcoop says:

    Evenin! Watching AI.

    Where is everybody?

  19. parrotmom says:

I’m finally here. So disappointed that I cannot get my TV and monitor working together. I wanted to spend my money in my hometown, but like OB will either have to go elsewhere—will use phone first or order off line and still not sure if that cable will do what I want it too. I have a fantastic PC monitor and I don’t want to upgrade.

  20. parrotmom says:

I really don’t understand why the RGB did not work unless it is an IN for the PC monitor too!!

  21. dhcoop says:

Dad bought Mom a dulcimer today. She’s excited. Been playing it all day.

  22. parrotmom says:

I know I could google but what is a dulcimer?

  23. dhcoop says:

PM, are you trying to get what’s on the PC to the TV? If so, you can’t do it through the monitor. You need to run it from the PC to the TV and have another line to the monitor from the PC. Then set your display options to clone so you can see the same thing on both screens.

  24. dhcoop says:

Dulcimer is an old fashioned stringed instrument played in the lap.

  25. parrotmom says:

Thanks Coop :) my MIL had one of those.

I think I am at a impass with my monitor and tv from what you are telling me:(

Prayers for those on the Mississippi River. I have friends that live in Rolling Fork that are also dealing with Cancer. I pray the Yazoo River back Ledge holds.

  26. msblondie says:

Sorry just checking in here again…
PM : if you want your TV and monitor at the same time so as to have dual screens, your video card on the PC will need to support that. Or you can just use the TV as your monitor. You can get DVI to HDMI cables – BestBuy carries them. My TV has a VGA connection to connect the PC or laptops to it.

If it helps shoot me a picture of the plugs on the TV and the back of your PC where your Video card is and I will see what I can do to help more. (email it to me)

    everyone have a great night.
