    Mornin!

It is pretty durn hot, for sure. But, we’ll have a large time at the pick-a-nic anyway!

I’m sure this isn’t a complete list, but y’all chime in and help me out. Here’s what I think we’ve got:

Crystalbutterfly – utinsels/plates and something unknown to eat
LegalSec – watermelon and a friend
Old Bopper – brownies and a fan
    Coop – hamburgers/hotdogs/buns/condiments/charcoal
MickyMouseLover – someone to cook all the stuff Coop brings
Clucky – world famous potato salad
Cardinallady – world famous marinated veggies

I’m sure there’s something I’m forgetting and I know there will be more.

    I’m excited!

Now, got to get to work. Later, taters!

Good morning to everyone. I hope everyone is feeling better or almost better. Running late, yay me!!!!!

Love and hugs to all and have a good day :)

  4. OldBopper says:

G’morning. I’ve got things to do Thursday through Sunday so I gotta make the best of today. I’m itching to go somewhere on Boule. Probably sounds funny, but in all my riding, I really haven’t gone anywhere except in big circles around the area.

  5. msblondie says:

morning gangg! lots to do today. hope all has a great day.

    Good morning.

Running waaay ahead of schedule on this well…..could have a real possibility of making the picnic……..hope I didn’t just jinx myself by saying that.

I had the same work partner for almost 5 yrs. I trained him up right and he always provided outstanding help and back-up for me. We were separated in Jan because he had a chance to work close to his home in east Texas. The boy that replaced him is well not very good(to put it mildly). I’ve had a knowledge transfer concerning an impending vocational paradigm shift this morning. For those that didn’t understand that, I told him I was fixin’ to run his @$$ off if he didn’t start doin’ better.

    Y’all stay cool today.

  7. OldBopper says:

Headed to Vicksburg in a while to have lunch with my sister, then back to Brandon.

  8. cardinallady says:

Good morning all you people out there in picnic … I mean Ramseyland. I’ve been searching for a picture that I need to get back to somebody today. I have a supervisors board meeting momentarily.

Cardinalson and I cleaned and vaccuumed the car this morning. He put all our camping gear in it, except for the dishes and food. Incidentally, we will bring a fan too. A small turbo fan. He is washing clothes so we will be decently covered this weekend.

Alright, gotta fly. See yall later!!

  9. Airwolf says:

Morning! Mowing, almost finished! Only need to mow the eight acres in the country!

  10. The Real JB says:

Hello good people. That is all.

  11. Barb says:

Mother is coming home this afternoon!! Happy Birthday to her!!!!!

  12. Clucky says:

Blues, I have a feeling I will be using your vocational paradigm shift phrase in the future. I took the “7 Habits” training last fall. Steven Covey loves to talk all about paradigms. Heck, I thought that word was “pairo’dimes”, like having a few cents in your pocket. LOL

  13. OldBopper says:

Barb, glad to hear the good news about your mother. Hope they get her straightened out soon.

Boule and I ventured over to Vicksburg where my sister and I had lunch together and then we journeyed back to Brandon. A good ride but somewhat windy on occasion.

I took HWY 80 to Ellis Avenue and got on I-20 from there. Got off at Ellis on the way back and followed 80 back to Brandon. There’s just too much construction work on the other part of the interstate and there are lots of serious grooves in the road. Grooves are not motorcycle friendly.

I have to be out of town most of tomorrow and tied up most of Friday….actually working for a client.

  14. cardinallady says:

Yall better pray for me.My page one story just blew up in my face. I said someone got arrested that didn’t there ain’t peace in paradise today.

  15. Mrs. H says:

I have decided that Mr. H is a genius. In an attempt to turn sharply into the entrance to the highest point in Alabama, I went wide and ended up in the grass. Not really a problem, except that I was on an incline and stalled it 5 times. I ended up dropping Fizzer and in the process, broke off the foot peg entirely and just the tip of the clutch lever. Mr. H came back and we got her upright. He rode her to the top of the parking lot and decided that the pillion (rear rider) foot peg should work. There is a small bag of tools under my seat and we used the wrench to take out the cotter pins and do a transplant. We had shade and a breeze and once I got over being mad at myself, we were back on the road. I even took a short trip on I-20 (where it is also Hwy 78)

I am so blessed to have a husband who doesn’t loose his temper or fuss at me. He is the most encouraging man I know… and he’s all mine! Sorry, Ladies!

  16. Mrs. H says:

Oh,well I put in the wrong ID and my comment is awaiting moderation. Y’all can read it later.

  17. Mrs. H says:

Anyway, Mr. H is a genius and a treasure!

  18. cardinallady says:

MrsH I’m sure your husband thinks the same about you. :) Things are better in my neck of the woods now. Going t leave soon and get the bags packed. Jon and I both are so excited about driving down. We are going to go down 15 and eat at Camp TaikOKata. Can’t wait!

  19. parrotmom says:

CLady I hope you and Jon have a wonderful time.

  20. OldBopper says:

MrsH, I can empathize with you. The previous owner dropped Boule and broke off the tip to the brake lever. I dropped him and curled the clutch lever and broke a rear turn signal light. It’s aggravating when that happens. Clutch levers are relatively inexpensive and you can get some aftermarket levers for under $10.

Have you put highway bars on it yet? They are worth every penny when you have a mishap such as that.

It’s nice to have some competent help when you need it. :~)

Finally made it home after sitting in a waiting room for 2 hours. Glad I took the time off to go for the check up. Wheezing like crazy through and through. Now I have an inhaler, steroids, nebulizer and antibiotics. And I am off work until Monday. At least I will have plenty of time to make tater salad :) FWIW, I might make regular good ole cold tater salad. I’m not putting onions in it, I don’t care who begs. However, I may well have a with-pickles and without-pickles since the Mr. hates pickles. (weirdo) I use dills-not fond of the sweet ones. I do have some home canned Squash Pickles Chicklette made last year and got a Blue Ribbon for that I might chill and bring with us. Same goes for pickled okra if any of you like that kind of thing. I will eat every fig that kid puts up, along with peas and green beans. The other stuff I could do without. I bet there is a new jar of tomato relish in there too, but I guess then I would have to bring greens or peas and cornbread to go with it, and it will be TOO DOGGONE hot for that this year!!!

  22. clucky says:

I have been on a rather large dose of Lasix since my thyroid went nuts on me-80mg three days a week, and 40mg the other 4 days. My hearing is suffering for it, too. Furosemide in large doses over a long period of time can lead to profound hearing loss. If I answer any of you with something out of left field this weekend, it’s because I can’t hear you, not because I wasn’t paying attention!

Now if only my sense of smell didn’t work so well…I could pass a chicken house without wanting to lose my lunch.

  23. dhcoop says:

    Evenin! !

Having fun playing (emphasis on playing ) at housekeeping down at Gtown. This will be my last night here for a bit since I’m going to Attache show tomorrow night and BIL comes home Friday. I’ll be giving them some “time” if you know what I mean…

    Anyhoo, looking forward to Saturday!

  24. parrotmom says:

Clucky glad you have some meds to help with your allergies. It sounds like you were due.

Barb Happy Birthday to your mom. I hope she continues to do well.

  25. dhcoop says:

Barb, glad your Mom got to go home!! I’ll be praying she continues to improve!

  26. parrotmom says:

nite lite is on. nite, nite to everyone.

  27. parrotmom says:

I guess it will be BIL’s turn to spoil little Poppy real soon.

Dang I hate I will be missing the pick-a-nick, Saturday. I will probably be splitting my time between here, home, and work over the weekend.

  28. Barb says:

Thanks to all for the good wishes for my mom!!
Am about to call it a night because I am going work at some point tomorrow because we are very shorthanded!!

  29. dhcoop says:

I’m sorry for all of those who cannot attend this weekend. We will have a blast, I am sure! I’ll try to make lots of pics to share.

  30. clucky says:

    1240am.

6 hours after 20mg of Prednisone. And I have to take this for 5 DAYS IN A ROW.

If Chicklette had flaked out on the couch like she usually does, I could have her bedroom primed and ready to paint by in the morning. Dang but it is going to be a long night. I have 2 books I am reading at the same time. By day 3 the two will start running together. LOL

    Goodnight. Again.
